Peaceful Mt Rainier View home close to skiing & hiking. Modern amenities: large chef’s kitchen w/ Italian range & marble counters, 2 master suites w/TVs, 75” TV in great room, Sonos throughout, heated floors in master baths, expansive windows in serene great room, heated outdoor dining & living areas, new 6 person spa, RV parking with 50 amp power, humming birds, deer, Elk, bald eagles. 5-min walk to white river, 10 min walk to downtown Buckley.
Unique Mountain View home located 1 mile from historic downtown Buckley, just 17 miles from the Carbon River Entrance to Mount Rainier National Park, and 30 miles to Crystal Mountain ski resort. Amazing and endless hiking everywhere, including our local favorite, Pinnacle Peak. The trail head is 1.5 miles away, and depending on which trail you chose you can climb 1000 feet of elevation in about a mile. Or you could do the same thing in a mile and a half. This home will welcome you after a long day’s hike with ample room for everyone to relax, recharge, and feel blessed.
The open kitchen includes a 5-burner Italian range, 2 sinks, marble counters, and expansive island where everyone can participate in cooking, and more fully equipted than 99% of the vacation rentals on the market. We even have a fully stocked spice drawer.
The kitchen is open to the living area, the back porch, and dining area. The living area has 18-foot, cedar ceilings, a Swedish fireplace, moose antlers, 75-inch TV and large modern leather couch with room for all, with each seat transforming to a recliner by flipping the seat backs away. The dining area provides an elegant environment with a 10’ x 4’ walnut table surrounded by 10 antique Jacobean red-velvet chairs.
Downstairs master suite has a king bed, TV, private bath with oversized walk-in shower, heated floor and double vanity.
There is also a cool powder room downstairs.
Upstairs master suite has a spectacular Mount Rainier view, a queen bed., and a large wall mounted TV, and walk in closet. It has a private bath with walk-in shower, heated floors and double vanity.
Upstairs also has 2 more stylish bedrooms, each beautifully decorated with high-end bedding and antique furniture. Each of the other two upstairs bedrooms has a double bed. The shared hall bath has a single vanity and shower-tub combination.
Also, of note is the large mud room/laundry room which ideal for your gear after hiking, skiing and general outdoors sports.
The back porch has two different sitting areas, one covered with room for six around a propane lit rectangular table, and the other hightop round table with six tall chairs is uncovered but also features a propane lit table. In addition there is a mobile tall outdoor propane heater.
Our home is designed to delight and entertain!
Guest access
The entire house and grounds are available for our guests. While the garage is reserved for owner storage, the laundry/mud-room provides ample room for sports gear and excess luggage if needed.
Other things to note
We can accommodate RVs up to 35 feet with a 50 amp hook up for an additional fee. Water is available, but there is no sewer hook up on the property.

About the host
Hosted by Chuck & Jilla

Jilla and Chuck met on an Alaska cruise in 2021 and have been inseparable since! Between the two of us we have six adult children. We are semi-retired and have another home In Florida. We travel the US extensively in our Airstream, checking in on our homes and families as we adventure!
Why they chose this property
We love being at the house in Buckley because it feels so quiet and relaxing with amazing Mount Rainer views and wildlife. The PNW forest fragrance is intoxicating and the 100 foot trees are majestic. We have a wonderful home with a large, open kitchen where a large group can enjoy cooking together. The adjoining living room an 18 foot cathedral ceiling with large windows that let in the view to the mountain and field behind the house . The whole place just feels great. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
What makes this property unique
Buckley is small town of 4680 residents many of whom have lived here for generations. It’s a historic logging town in a great location: it’s about 15 miles from the closest entrance to Mt. Rainier National Forest and about 45 minutes to Crystal Mountain skiing. It’s also about 15 minutes away from The White River Amphitheater that draws big names like Halsey, Santana, Earth, Wind and Fire. And, in about 50 minutes you can drive to Seattle if you want a day trip to the big city. Check out our Guestbook where we’ve loaded lots of our favorite places.
Even with all these wonderful, nearby places and things to do, we think the best parts of living in Buckley are the quiet, the views, the stars, the wildlife, and the sweet, down-to-earth people. It’s a really special place.
