- ABOUT OUR BOOKING REQUIREMENTS -

Rental Agreement & Government ID:
Our insurance company requires a clear definition of the guest-host relationship, hence the need for a rental agreement. This agreement confirms the terms between our guests and our company. The signer of the rental agreement must match the government ID provided.

Security Deposit:
A security deposit "hold" of $2000 is required for all reservations. It is a temporary hold on the card processed by "Stripe," a widely trusted credit card processor. This hold will take place 3 days before your arrival and will be released 3 days after your departure, provided that the property is left in good condition and the house rules are followed.

These requirements are standard for all our properties and are part of our commitment to maintaining the properties we manage on behalf of our owners. They provide assurance to our property owners and protect us from situations where damage caused by guests may not be adequately covered by platform protections.

It was a beautiful property. It had lots of beds to sleep which was great and lots of amenities. It was unfortunate that the projector wasn’t working and when we had issues we got a very slow response from staff over the weekend. 6-7 hours to respond which is not helpful when trying to figure the oven out or other things we asked. Besides that the stay was a lot of fun for a big group.

Our yearly family beach trip

We had a family of 27 stay here last weekend, and the trip was fantastic. The layout of the houses was ideal for our large group. Bedrooms were great, having two kitchens was nice, the pool and the gas pit were a hit. We were close enough to the beach that we could come & go throughout the day. Our family said this was the best place we had ever stayed & they all vote to return again. Management was very responsive & helpful with our questions.

Perfect for our extended family vacation!

Solara Sands was perfect for our fairly large family vacation. The spacious accommodations were perfect for our needs and the pool was a big hit with the kids. The location was great - anything you need is within a couple minute drive, the beach is only a short 5 min walk, and the host even helped us get set up with a golf cart that was ready for us when we arrived. We all had an absolutely perfect vacation and would definitely stay here again!

Best beach house in Texas

This is the best beach property we have come across in Texas. They seemed to have thought of everything here! This was absolutely perfect for our family reunion. Two kitchens, multiple fire pits, game room, heated pool, enough bathrooms for the size of a property of this size (not always the case). They even had yard games and a guitar to use. It was perfect for us! We'll be booking the same time for next year!

Best Family Vacation Beach House

I had the best experience with Anson and Tailored Stays at the Solara Sands house. The house is even more beautiful in person, from the furniture and decor, to every comfort you could ever need being provided. The pool was the perfect addition and everyone enjoyed it, the kitchen was well stocked and we loved the welcome gifts that were left for us. The power went out on the first day and Anson made sure we were taken care of and sent over a maintenance person ASAP to help with getting everything fixed. This was by far the best vacation rental experience we have ever had! Thanks Anson!

Our new go to vaca spot

Me and a group of my old college friends have been doing an annual trip together each year for 15 years now, and this has by far been our best trip thus far. It checked different boxes for so many different considerations in our group... Pool, check. Bed for each adult, check. Theater/media room, check. Fire pit, check. We usually go to different locations each year, but that may be changing now. Oh, and the hosts, AMAZING. They were so thoughtful and attentive.

Incredibly unique and beautiful property!

Wow! I am so grateful my family came across Solara Sands! We were needing a space for a family reunion, and we were about to "settle" for something else that would've worked but did not "wow" us, but then a friend told us about this gem! Seriously, where else on the Texas gulf can you find a property that can sleep over 30 people, with two separate houses, a heated pool, theater room, elevator, fire pits, fully stocked kitchen (I could keep going)... I can tell you, I couldn't find it anywhere else. We will not only be back but intend on this being our go-to space for our family reunions!

We've fallen in love

I was unprepared for how the experience of falling in love with a vacation home. This home, the thoughtful touches and care through the entire process has left a lasting impression on myself and my family. We look forward to many more years of creating memories here! (Also, I underestimated how helpful it is to have ample bathrooms. It is one thing to have a lot of beds, it is another to have enough bathrooms where your family is not on top of each other. Solara Sands has 11 bedrooms, as well as 9 bathrooms. This really was helpful in making our stay all the more peaceful.)

Nice space, but a few issues.

Our team of 25 stayed at these two homes for a work retreat. We had a good stay at Solara Sands, enjoying the homes (especially Dawn) and the new kitchen. The homes were clean and had been recently renovated due to a fire. The outside space and seating were also useful. I reached out during our stay to the home's manager regarding a few issues we had during our stay but some were left unresolved. Three sliding doors didn't close on bathrooms. The person they sent out to fix this issue wasn't helpful and said he would have to come back and take the trim off to be able to fix it. This made one room completely unusable which was a problem for our number of guests. We also had an issue with three smoke detectors beeping. The person they sent out again wasn't helpful and couldn't fix them. We ended up having to spend time dealing with this, taking off the smoke detectors and putting them in someone's car to stop the beeping from interrupting our time. The internet was spotty and we didn't always have the Tailored Stay Guest option that was given as a login. The final thing was a company came to pick up old appliances while we were there and asked us to move our cars. This should not have been scheduled when we were staying at the VRBO. Overall, we enjoyed the homes, but unfortunately did have some issues during our time there.

Company appreciation weekend

I put together a weened getaway for our small business as a little token of appreciation, and Solara fit what we needed perfectly. We brought our team of 26 and it was just right. They are also able to help line up various concierge services (golf cart, in-home chef, massage, etc)

Everything we needed!

Wow! Everything we needed! A few very practical & helpful aspects to the houses... Washer/Dryer in each house. Elevator. 2 Full kitchens. King Beds. There's more, but those stood out as really nice for our stay.

Much needed vacation after house fire

Extended family vacation

This was exactly what we needed for our extended family vacation. The entire process was so easy to navigate. The features of the property are amazing. There were three things specifically we needed in the home we were renting. 1) Pool, heated ideally. 2) Elevator, for grandparents 3) Enough space for 28+ people. This was the ONLY property we were able to find that had all of these.

This was absolutely perfect for my company's retreat

I take my business's leadership team on a vision retreat each year and finding a space that satisfies all of the requirements we have is not always easy. Solara Sands exceeded our requirements and expectations. We were able to have our entire team on a single and contained property, not on top of each other, with incredible amenities (pool, projector room, etc), as well as easy access to the beach... This is now our go-to spot for our retreats as I can't imagine anywhere else delivering what this space was able to. Kudos to the Solara team for creating such an amazing space.
