We needed a short getaway from the stress of city life & i couldnt have asked for more! Very cozy old school cabin in the woods. Perfect for the price & people who were complaining about the cleanliness should consider more modern homes. The real wood throught the house sets the mood & its beautiful if thats what you like! Would surely stay again!
Had the most wonderful time at this property. Hot tub was amazing for this price! Area was beautiful (would recommend 4WD for getting around), only about an hour and 15min to Breckenridge. Plenty of games and entertainment at the house for us to enjoy. Super spacious and clean, stocked with basically everything we needed.
Very quiet, and so much room! We weren’t quite sure what to do with the trash so we left the bags in the laundry room as a previous guest had stated to do. There were some quirks here and there and we weren’t sure if that had something to do with the remodeling process. But nothing that hindered our stay. We would definitely consider staying at this cabin again. The owners are responsive if you have questions.
We stayed at this property for my bachelorette party. We were there for the weekend with six people and could easily fit six others. Huge, gorgeous property. Lovely during fall time. Tricky getting to the house if you didn’t already have GPS loaded due to the lack of Internet as you get into the neighborhood. No fires allowed, although Colorado normally has dry seasons, this one wasn’t and fire were allowed in the area just not on site. I sent a list to the property owner of the items that don’t work like the garbage disposal, a few of the burners on the stove, and the upstairs bathroom drips into the main floor when you flush the upstairs bathroom toilet. There’s one pool ball missing and multiple chairs that are broken. It’s almost like the property managers haven’t visited the location in awhile or done a thorough check. All that was bad, didn’t really matter. We will be staying here again!
A Strange Thing Happened on the Way to an Elopement
My fiancé and I chose this location for our elopement. After spending weeks trying to find the perfect place we settled on this property but this was anything but. Upon arriving we were greeted with a dirty home. Granted, this isn't the property owner's fault, but the lack of cleaning was. The bulk of the house was in shambles. Clothes were left, the kitchen was a disaster. All of the sheets from the night before still remained. The top floor stunk of cigarettes and weed.
We reached out to the owner who was apologetic. He offered several solutions and we decided to allow him to see if a cleaner was available while we discussed what we wanted to do. He called back, a cleaner was heading over and the option for a full refund was offered. We thanked him and said we would appreciate the refund since we were losing many hours of our one night stay. We have not been able to contact the owner since.
While the house was cleaned, it was a rushed. We ended up cleaning much of the dishes ourselves. We also noticed several issues that we were hoping to discuss with the owner. This included: One stove top not working. A garbage disposal that never turned off. We had to unplug it every time we used it. The bathroom on the top floor, when flushed, resulted in water dripping through the ceiling in the bathroom below, which left us with two bathrooms.
Considering its current state and the lack of a follow up with the owner pertaining to promises made, we can't recommend this place.
The house was great for our party of 6 (2 couples, 2 singles) to spend the weekend hanging out and enjoying the view.
It's well stocked, has a treat hot tub and everything worked well.
The view from the wraparound balcony is great (particularly sunrises).
The host was helpful when i wanted to add an additional night and responsive to other questions I had about the property.
Wifi worked well.
A few of things to keep in mind:
1) Depending on the weather conditions you'll want an all wheel drive car to get there as parts of the road could be a bit icy.
2) We didn't need to use the garage (the weather was good) but if you do, we didn't find a way to get into it. Admittedly we never asked the host about it and I'm sure they'd be able to help you out.
3) When checking out, there are no outside bins (due to wildlife) so we were instructed to leave the bags in the laundry room.
4) There's not a lot of stores nearby so you may want to bring most of what you'll need with you.
Overall great stay at a nice property!
