My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this cute and cozy spot. Very convenient for exploring Northern Virginia, from Shenandoah National Park, to Leesburg, Culpeper, Manassas, and beyond. Check-in was very easy and Jimmie, our host, was very friendly and responsive.
The Cozy Apartment was a nice little stay for our trip to the area including great vineyards, great restaurant (Claire's) in Warrenton, and a great experience in one of our nation's best National Parks - Shenandoah National Park.
This property is exactly as pictured and described. The host was accommodating and responsive. If I am back in the area I would stay here again. The location to many area attractions is perfect.
My partner and I stayed here to visit Shenandoah National Park and it was a great location that is very close to the park. The host gave us privacy and there was a separate entrance into the space.

Very lovely cozy room to crash at for a night or two. 5 stars
My husband and I were in the area for the Solheim Cup in Gainesville. We liked the location as we did not have to be near the center of everything. The space was everything we needed and was very comfortable. We like to eat in for some meals so we don't have to eat out every time. We would consider staying here again if we wanted to explore the area more.
Comfortable bed and nice shower! Also, great that there was a laundry room. There was pet hair on the loveseat and a couple throw blankets, but otherwise fairly clean. Jimmie was very helpful when making the reservation!
This is my 4th review of this wonderful spot! I cooked from scratch for the first time and found that the kitchen had everything I needed, from a measuring cups, to pots and pans, to olive oil and spices. Another highlight of this house is the amazingly comfortable bed and the fact that it's dog friendly. Love coming here!
My third time staying at this property was as excellent as the first two. One of the things I love about staying here is that I don't have to bring much "extra" with me; from shampoo and conditioner, to spices, to laundry detergent, Jimmie has really thought of everything guests might need. Can't wait for my next stay!
This was just the place we needed to be close to hiking, visiting our nephew, & close to a brewery too! Host very communicative. Also, w/great weather we ate meals on patio. There is quite a bit of traffic on main road, but looking towards back yard & focusing on birds made it white noise. Lastly, best bed ever!
The place was clean, the bed comfortable, and there was a full kitchen to allow me to cook and not have to eat out every meal. Even though it is right off the highway, it seems more isolated. It was nice sitting on the patio having my morning coffee with my dog.
The only (minor) issue was I arrived after dark and the driveway is a little hard to see at night, and curves to the right and up the hill to the house.
This was a great place. We used it while visiting some relatives in Washington Va. It was well located for us as we had some winery visits planned. Everything was great. Loved the layout of the place and all the nice design touches. Everything was thought of. The host also also went the extra mile for us in making some extra arragements for a request. We will definitely recommend this place again to people we know who are visiting the area as well as re booking ourselves if we are in the area again. Thanks very much it worked out perfectly for us.
I can't thank you enough for bending over backwards to help me get a reservation at your cozy apartment in less than an hour. It helped me to focus on the reason for my visit, which was to visit a loved one having emergency surgery. I appreciate all of your messages and efforts to enable me to stay at your lovely place. I loved the decorations and the surrounding area is beautiful. It was perfect for a single traveler needing to be close to Reston without having to stay in the DC area. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
We were attending an evening event at Wollam Gardens and looking for an overnight option within 10 min drive and easy to find at night - Jimmie’s place was perfect! A cozy tastefully decorated renovation - loved the sliding barn doors to the bedroom and bathroom - with a very comfortable queen bed. Great amenities - even toothpaste and toothbrushes in case you forgot yours - everything we needed. So clean and comfortable. Much cozier that the wide angle photos make it seem. It’s a perfect place to stay if your traveling from DC to an late afternoon/evening wedding at Wollam Gardens - which we highly recommend as a flower destination and event venue!
This was exactly what I was looking for for a few days away, just me and my dog. Although the apartment is technically a basement, it never felt that way...more like a cozy little house. Very spacious, nicely decorated in calming grays and whites. The full kitchen had everything I needed, and there was even bottled water and dog ice cream in the fridge! The bed and couch were very comfortable. The property doesn't have any close neighbors, so it's very peaceful. Check-in and checkout were easy! I had a really relaxing time...felt like a home away from home. I will definitely be back.
Although a short stay, we were very pleased with our stay at Jimmie’s place. Comfortable and clean. We were in need of nothing. Owner is very quick to respond with any questions I had. Communication through the entire process, from booking to check out, was seamless! Close enough to town, food and wineries, but still feels away from it all. Wildlife literally at the back door. Yard space for our dog to stretch his legs. And a sweet little patio area for morning coffee or evening fire. Cute seasonal touches throughout the space made it feel homey.
We highly recommend this new VRBO and would stay again if we’re in the area! Thank Jimmie, it was lovely!
When we arrived, we were met with a moldy/musty small. We discovered a pile of used, wet, moldy paper towel stacked in the kitchen sink.
The window AC unit does not put out enough air to cover the bedroom or kitchen. We did not get a good night’s sleep.
The ceiling fan in the bedroom is broken. The light fixture is only attached to the ceiling fan by a power cord. It dangles precariously over the bed.
Do not! Do not book. We have been dealing with Vrbo to get completely refunded for this booking because we were not comfortable staying here; we checked in and knew within five minutes that we couldn’t spend the night.
BUGS! There were bugs, dead and alive, over everything! On the couch pillows, all over the ground, on blankets, on hard surfaces, etc. Mostly dead beetles of decent to nickel in size. It was PAINFULLLY obvious no one had done a cursory walkthrough or thought to clean the place up before checkin because it was impossible to NOT notice the tiny guys on all surfaces and in most of the rooms. I’m unsure what a cleaning fee is for if you aren’t guaranteed a clean space to lay your head on a vacation. Kinda glad that the host had neglected to clean up, because with the quantity of bugs in the space, it’s obvious there is some hole or way-of-entry for the vermin that the host isn’t fixing and hasn’t for some time (based on the amount of those bugs which were dead); had he cleaned, we could have thought everything was okay and woke up to bug-city the next morning.
Gross gross gross!
