About this property

Mountain Home with Privacy near Pisgah National Forest.

Known as “Mountain View”, this cabin is located on 64 privately-owned acres atop Mine Mountain, which is about ten minutes from the entrance to Pisgah Forest. The cabin features two bedrooms (1 king and 1 Queen), two baths, a modern kitchen with eat-in island, and a majestic stacked-stone fireplace. The cabin also contains a bunk bed located in a small nook off of the great room (for a total of 4 beds). In addition, this cabin provides Direct TV, a washer and dryer, and a large deck with a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains. The deck features a grill, an outdoor dining area, and plenty of covered seating to take advantage of the beautiful vistas. This cabin is well-suited to groups that include two couples, since the cabin contains two separate guest suites.

Our cabins are professionally cleaned and provided with all linens and towels, a starter supply of soap, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher and laundry detergent, firewood and propane for the grill.

It was wonderful hanging and cooking out on the deck. Interior was beautiful and very clean. The deck and siding could use a fresh coat of stain. I felt the price was an excellent value. Paid the same price I would have for a 2 bedroom hotel, but had all the privacy and relaxed atmosphere we wanted.

The cabin was such a great getaway. It was very clean, nice and so peaceful! There was an issue with a carbon monoxide detector when we checked in, but after calling Mandi, a handyman was out in about 30 minutes and fixed the problem. Highly recommend!

This cabin is very nice…perfect for my wife and myself. As previous VRBO owners we felt the cabin was clean well stocked (cooking utensils, towels, bathroom supplies…soap lotion and shampoo, washer dryer etc.) and presented very nicely. Instructions for check out, operating the AV equipment were very clear and concise. There was s basket filled with snacks on the kitchen counter which was a nice touch. The king sized bed was very comfortable.The cabin is on 64 acres but the property is not walkable (only around the cabin) but super peaceful. For visitors who may be allergic to poison ivy, there is a significant amount on the right side of the cabin near the back and on a tree next to the deck. This was not an issue for us just a heads up for those who may have extreme allergies.Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

This was our 2nd stay in this cabin and have created some great family memories. We love the location and the view, but it could use some updating to beds, bedding, and furnishings. The doors on both armoires do not close properly and the outdoor furnishings need to be cleaned or updated. We don't watch much TV on vacation, but the pocket sized TVs are disappointing when we do. I would love to stay in this cabin again, but not without some updating.

Greetings! I appreciate your feedback. Can you message me and give more detail on the bedding you feel needs to be updated? The mattresses in this cabin are less than 5 yrs old. The cleaner updates the linens each season. For the TV's, are you speaking of the bedroom televisions? The living room TV is quite large. For the Armoires, are you speaking of the two antique pieces in the living room? These are decorative and not typically used for storage. I will let the cleaner know about the outside furniture. Wow, just WOW! Had an absolutely phenomenal time this past weekend at this cabin. From the beautiful decor, to the wood-burning fireplace, to the gorgeous view from the deck, it was all just perfect! Beds were super comfy, we loved the cozy blankets, and our walks were just perfect. Even the twin bunks were comfy! The gorgeous fall foliage was amazing. HIGHLY recommend. We chose to purchase rental property in the Brevard area due to its proximity to the beautiful scenery, wildlife, outdoor activities (i.e., hiking, fly-fishing, rock climbing, and bike riding, etc.) available in the hundreds of acres of state and national forest in the Blue Ridge Mountains. In addition, Brevard is a charming Appalachian town that offers a thriving music and arts community, as well as fantastic shopping and dining.

What makes this property unique

While a mere 15 minute drive to wonderful downtown Brevard area, visitors to this cabin will enjoy a private, secluded haven complete with astonishing views, a beautiful setting atop Mine Mountain, and the potential to see a large variety of the wildlife indigenous to this region (including the unusual white squirrels Brevard is known for).
