Escape to Serenity: Lookout Tower with Hot Tub, near Schweitzer and Pet-Friendly
Escape to a breathtaking mountain retreat for remote getaways or romantic nights in! This stunning lookout tower, inspired by National Park architecture, sits atop a granite cliff over 60 feet high, offering unparalleled views of the Cabinet Mountains, Sandpoint, and Lake Pend Oreille. Tucked away off the main cutoff to Schweitzer Mountain, this awe-inspiring structure is a must-see for anyone seeking a one-of-a-kind experience.
This cozy space provides remote relaxation while still providing all the amenities your heart may desire. The Lookout Tower is 2 stories so guests must be able to use a spiral staircase or exterior wood stairs. The Main living and dining area is located upstairs while the bedroom, bathroom and laundry facilities are located downstairs. The walkthrough below is as if you’re entering through the front door and exiting through the second floor sliding glass door.
Did we mention adventure? Due to the steep driveway, we recommend a 4x4 or AWD in order to reach the lookout tower even with the freshly paved driveway as the main road is still gravel. You may park at the lower driveway and hike up to the home (2 minute walk) if it looks too daunting - This may also be required in the winter months depending on the snow conditions. We promise it is all worth it once you take in the views! Especially sitting in the two-person hot tub that overlooks the valley.
The city of Sandpoint is known for trains, so you'll hear the train whistle from the valley below. You'll be surprised how quickly you become accustomed to the sound but if you're not used to it you can use the "white noise" player or earplugs in the bedroom to muffle the train whistles at night.

We loved this place and will definitely be back! Beautiful, relaxing and an amazing review. Lots of thoughtful amenities that made our stay even more wonderful. Thank you.
This place was awesome. Exactly as described. The perfect place to escape for a couple days. My favorite things were: hot tubbing under the stars and the three-head shower! The house is well stocked with anything you might need, from kitchen appliances to board games and books. We also enjoyed exploring the property, which has a stream. The host was also communicative and friendly. We hope to return in the future.
The property was beautiful, quiet, private, and it was immaculate. Amazing attention to detail for anything you might need during your stay. Would definitely recommend it!
This property is one of a kind! The views are just stunning and the inside of the tower was awesome as well. We wished we would have stayed there longer! A property, A communication, and A experience.

Marlon was very easy to host! They were friendly, considerate, and took great care of the space. Highly recommended. Thanks so much for staying with us!
Property was super clean and had everything that we needed to be able to enjoy our stay. Perfect location to get to town or Schweitzer, but also tucked in the trees so you felt like you were away from it all.
What a great little escape. My husband and I snuck away from the kids and this was just what we needed. A quiet relaxing little place. I appreciate them allowing for a very impromptu early check in. House is very tastefully decorated. Everything was in great shape and clean. Thank you for letting us enjoy your place!
The property was very clean and organized. Everything worked as it should and there was a list of good restaurants in the area. We had a blast on our honeymoon and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
We had a few small issues with the property but they were quick to be resolved and the property was truly incredible. Great location between the mountain and town. If we go back to Sandpoint we have accommodations covered.
Very clean and organized. Owner provides high end products and furnishings and it’s equipped with everything you need for a short stay. Great views and ambiance. Will definitely book again!

Happy Travels!
We just needed a place to get away and unwind, and this was perfect! The views were amazing, the hot tub on the deck was awesome, and it was stocked with everything we needed to be comfortable and relax. We would definitely recommend it for anyone who wants to explore Sandpoint/Schweitzer, but also just as a place to get away the hustle and bustle of life.
Right when I walked in I could tell the thought and care that had been put into this property. It was spotless and had everything we needed! It was the perfect spot to celebrate our anniversary. The views were incredible and the hot tub was the extra icing on the cake.
Perfect for 2! Great escape for a romantic or connecting time away from the hustle and bustle. If you can, bring your water toys (SUPs, floaties, etc) as there is water everywhere! Thimbleberries were also on almost all of the trails, and wife ate herself sick ;)Property had everything we needed and a little more. Hosts were great at responding and even provided recommendations for the area. Thanks again!
