Located in the middle of our family farm. Very secluded. Peace, quite and wildlife. I have a lake that I allow guests to fish in. Cabin is 750 sq feet with a wood burning stove and AC. Hotpot on personal cell is how Wi-Fi is accessible. Good cell coverage.

We booked the cabin for a weekend visit to Pine Mountain. It was so peaceful and a perfect location. It was also nice because we were able to bring our dog with us.
Rustic cabin in the middle of 1000 acres and locked gate. Secluded. Beautiful serene woods.
One suggestion. A second AC unit is needed to combat Georgia sun on the tin roof. It's a little warm during the day.
Otherwise, I shall return again.

We live a rustic and outdoorsy life in the woods of Northern Michigan. I was looking for a home away from home for our soldier who was graduating from basic training. This may not be your traditional rental, but it was the perfect place for us. We grilled, did a little fishing and a lot of relaxing. We recognized some of the people in the pictures on the wall and appreciated the families hunting history as well as the civil war era books and memorabilia. We are hoping to stay here again for his "turning blue" ceremony. You will absolutely get peace, quiet and privacy staying here on this beautiful chunk of land.
Very spacious and well furnished.
Beds were comfortable.
The heater worked very well.
I liked seeing all the family photos and history of the cabin.
We checked in late evening after a long drive and the host allowed us a late checkout.
Located within a gated property, it was wooded and secluded. We felt safe.
This family hunting cabin is phenomenal!!! It was so peaceful and quiet we enjoyed every minute of our stay. This isn't no 5 star hotel but this is definitely a 5 star hunting cabin. We loved the history through the pictures on the wall. The fishing at the lake was great as well. George and family were awesome, kind and great hosts with that southern hospitality everyone hears about. We will definitely be back!!!

Good directions and very secluded. My husband really enjoyed it. It is way back in the woods. No one bothered us and it was great.
Once your there it is fantastic!!!Tech direction are off several phone directions were wrong going and leaving. So caution on direct routes because it is not exactly where we thought close to Pine Mountain near my mother’s .It was disappointing and didn’t stay three of the six nights we rented it 😱yep wrong location but a cute cabin and the owner was a pleasure for sure.
My husband and our dogs came to visit family. This cabin was perfect for us! Secluded in the middle of beautiful acreage, we absolutely loved the peacefulness and quiet of the land. George was great communicating with us. He even checked on us when we arrived because there was a terrible thunderstorm. We hope to return on our next visit home!
If you are looking for seclusion and quiet, this is the place. Close enough to drive to anything you might chose to do, but barebones and no frills. No internet but cell service was adequate (4g). Drive a vehicle able to get down a dirt/gravel road for several miles. Great communication and directions were given, but GPS will not take you there!
A Super secluded and private place for your respite from the busy, noisy world. Comfy bed, great wood stove fireplace, back and front porches for which we always bring our camp chairs to watch the Sunrise and sunset. If you're lucky you'll catch a glimpse of the deer that roam the property.
My husband and I absolutely love visiting this "hunt camp" style property/cabin relaxing with the noises of nature. George is such a courteous host. You won't find one better! We highly recommended for those down to earth nature lovers.
My family and I planned to spend new years at Callaway Gardens and needed a place to stay. My wife requested something away from the crowds and this could not have been better. Cabin reminded me of my grandparents hunting lodge. Rustic but with a few modern touches. I enjoyed building a fire with the provided materials however there was a remote controlled Heat/AC unit also. Our cell phone service was spotty so we were not able to hot-spot for Wi-Fi but the kids stayed busy and had fun. Dollar General nearby for snacks but you will have to drive a bit for a sit down meal. It may not be the Ritz-Carlton but if you know that going in you will have a wonderful time!
Great communication with the owner and LOVED the wood burning stove!
This is a nice sized cabin with high ceilings, with privacy and a unique hunting lodge vibe. Very hunting lodge vibe lol. The owner was great with communication. It was dark when I arrived and google likes to route you on roads that don’t exist, but luckily i had printed out the directions and they get you there just fine. I was only there a night, but I liked the authentic feel and location and would happily stay again.
If you are looking for somewhere close to attractions, keep looking... However, if you are looking for a cozy cabin away from the hustle, this is it! The cabin is clean, well maintained, and George made sure we had everything we needed for the weekend. The family and I are planning a spring trip to Callaway Gardens and will definitely stay here again if it is available.

About the host
Hosted by George Copelan
I love to fish, hunt, hike and camp. I am a 5th generation owner of this family land. We raise some cows and timber on the "farm" but it is a dedicated family only hunting property.
Why they chose this property
If peace and quite are what you are looking for... I got it. If you are expecting a Ritz Carlton, cosmopolitan room with a Maitre d'... keep looking. This is my family's' hunting cabin complete with hunting pictures and mounts, cast iron cookware and well water. Southern family history from The War Between the States and a wood burning stove. If you are afraid of nature and/or Her critters.... keep looking.
What makes this property unique
Stillness. Rain on a real tin roof. Simple but modern appliances. Quite. Peaceful. REMOTE. Safe.
