Exotic Beachfront Villa in the Serene North

Pemuteran Bay lies in the North West of Bali. A secluded and relaxed place, far away from the busy southern part of the island. No beach hawkers, only natural beauty. Villa Semadhi offers you a private paradise on this serene location. Close to the Barat National Park and the underwater wonders of Menjangan Island. Pemuteran has the largest areas of shallow coral reefs in Bali and one of the largest reef restoration projects in the world. Tourism facilities are developed in close cooperation with the local community, making it a showcase for the future of Bali.

Villa Semadhi is located close to the Pulaki Temple. This area is believed to have a special energy. In front you have the Bali Sea with sunrise at the east of the bay and sunset in the west behind the volcanoes’ on Java. To the south there are 9 mountains as dramatic backdrop. The sea has easy access, is free of currents and perfect for swimming.

The villa has a large secluded garden of 3000 m2 with many large trees. The main building has 3 bedrooms a lounge and 2 verandas. One bedroom has an indoor bathroom en 2 have large outdoor bathrooms. In a lily pond you will find the pavilion with the kitchen and dining area. On top is bedroom number 4 with a beautiful 360 panorama view. 2 extra single beds and a baby cot are available, so the villa can host larger groups of 10+ people. for the low season there are attractive rates for smaller groups.

In the garden you will find a gazebo, Jacuzzi a 4 x 14 meter pool and beach pavilion. In front there is a petanque court and staff bungalow with central kitchen. You can rent a traditional fishing boat that can be used for snorkeling, fishing and sunset trips or as water taxi. We also have a canoe available for two people and 8 classic mountain bikes are free to use. Great to explore the backland of Pemuteran, Kadek our staff member would love to take you on a tour.

The villa is fully staffed you can discuss all your excursions with the manager on site. Our cook can daily prepare your lunch and dinner, she works with a menu, however she is flexible and can also cook outside the menu. Maids will daily clean the villa. A gardener will tend the garden and a poolboy will daily clean your pool and the pool area. Massage and spa treatments can be arranged, as well as transport, laundry service and tours.

You’ll Love it

A wonderful place for our 1st stop in Bali. We chose Permuteran so we can do some great snorkeling and scuba. The owners and villa team helped us arrange everything - scuba, a wonderful Balinese dance showing at the villa, massages at the villa, and the chef prepared some wonderful meals. We all had a great time.

Great Place

We stayed in a city before coming here, wow what a difference. Quiet area, house is off the road which makes it even nicer. Can’t beat being right on the Bali Sea, only Villa we saw with a deck over the water. Our group spent a lot of time on the deck, sun rises and sunsets. The only thing better was the staff, from keeping us in food with wonderful meals to arranging outings with drivers and everything in between. Just a message to the manager or the chef and they would make it happen. Thanks to everyone at the villa.

Peaceful and private retreat

Beautiful private villa set in large garden with amazing pool. The setting is authentic and rural. A true Balinese experience, complete with cows strolling on the beach. We loved watching the sunset from the beachfront deck and enjoyed our meals in the outdoor dining area. The staff were friendly and very attentive and arranged yoga, massages and scooters for us. Thank you for a fabulous week!

Best accommodation ever!

We had a large group of divers and needed a Villa close to diving and large enough to accommodate our group. Bernard was amazing and assisting us—he even found 2 Jobolo’s for the additional people. The food was great (we didn’t eat anywhere else). The villa is walking distance to the Monkey temple. The villa was beautifully maintained and the staff was beyond belief with their service level.

Fantastic

If you're looking for relaxation and luxury, than staying at this Villa in Pemuteran is second to none. After staying here, I went on to the Viceroy in Ubud and then the Ritz Carlton in Hong Kong. This property was the best of the three places I stayed at during my travels. The Villa has everything you need and plenty of space. The staff and the food are amazing. There is really nothing but positives I can offer about my stay.

Unbelievable luxury villa with amazing staff!

My wife and I have stayed at luxury hotels and villas all over the world and this is by far the nicest place we have ever stayed. Every detail is thought of and the service and support of the staff were excellent. It is 1000x better in person and truly a very special place. It's 3.5 hours from the airport which keeps the tourists at bay. We felt like we had a unique Ball experience and explored lots of the recommendations in the villa's to-do guide. This place is truly amazing - I have zero suggestions or complaints! We stayed for 2 weeks and I could have stayed 2 more!

Simply paradise

We were a group of 6 people and greatly enjoyed our time at Villa Semadhi. The Villa is a location for itself - relaxing and soothing. It is easy to spend the days just there - if you do not wish to wonder around. The garden is wonderful and has lots of places that offer privacy and a hide-away. We decided no to go out once for dinner or lunch - because Jero's coooking is so superb. The staff is very attentive and simply amazing. Thank you Putra, Ketut, Kadek, Komang and Jero for making us feel so welcome ! And thank-you Bernard and Jane for making this such a beautiful place. Daniele

Un soggiorno meraviglioso

La zona di Permuteran e' ancora oggi la zona di Bali meglio conservata, con bellezze naturali mozza fiato e con la gente più vera. Persone gentilissime, bellissime che trasmettono entusiasmo e gioia di vivere. Menjangan, il Bali Barat, il cratere di Ijan a Jawa, le barche tutte in bambu' dei pescatori locali ma soprattutto queste persone resteranno per sempre nei nostri cuori. La villa e' un paradiso di bellezza e di eleganza. Fantastica sia per una famiglia con tre figli come la nostra che per amici o coppie che vogliano un nascondiglio esclusivo e di grandissimo gusto. Putra e tutto il suo personale sono il massimo che si possa sperare di trovare. Ottima anche la loro cucina. Amichevoli anche le scimmie che ogni tanto ci facevano visita. Putra si e' davvero comportato da amico. E' un posto dove andare subito, prima che anche questa parte di Bali irrimediabilmente si trasformi.

Peace on Earth!

I must say that my stay in Villa Semadhi was like Heaven on Earth. It felt like time had stopped and nature was happy and there was peace in the world. The air was so clear and fresh and everything was beautiful. I loved the bathroom in my suite, it had a live tree inside which was also outside. So pleasant and just nice. I went with four of my friends and we each had our own favourite spot. I loved the little coach on the porch, carved and beautiful where I could rest. My friends loved the apartment above the dining area and they would just sit and watch the ocean. The pool was just right for exercise or just having fun. The staff were incredible and always ready to serve. We had delicious meals out near the ocean or wherever we wanted, cooked to order. A great vacation getaway.

Something for everyone

Had an amazing stay at Villa Semadhi with my family, which included 3 teenagers and 2 adults (who behaved like teenagers). The villa itself was beautiful, but what made the stay really memorable were the staff who were nothing less than warm, accommodating and genuinely friendly people. We had in-villa massages, went white water rafting, snorkeling in the villa's boat, had yoga next to the pool... it was absolute heaven! :)

Better than the Picture and that is not often!

I was in Villa Semadhi for two nights in the beginning of Nov 2010. It was a very nice place and as I only had seen the place in internet before I was a bit nervous but everything was perfect. We were 8 people travelling together - our driver + guide stayed in a homestay. Both the three young 13,15 and 18 years old and the older between 35-60 loved the place. For us it was a perfect place - private wth a very good service. From the kitchen we ordered breakfast that was really good and the last evening we stayed at Semadhi and had dinner there from the menu. It was very good food and nice to eat "at home". I am a fan of Bali, this was my sixth trip and I am already planning next trip and I will try to come at least two days every time .... I am even thinking of having my Wediing party there - it is a lovely place and I will have guests from Java that is close.

Close to perfection

Back in Holland and wearing the office suit and tie again ? Can we compliment you with a wonderful villa, tasteful interior and last but not least friendly staff at Villa Semadhi! After a long journey we felt at home instantly. Putra managed well and fixed a few arrangements upon our request (think wines) and we stocked up the refrigerator in the outdoor kitchen. Kadek and Ketut are such friendly people that you want to take them home with you. The BBQ arranged for the surprise party celebrating a number of birthdays was priceless. The diners for 11 persons that the cook prepared outside the menu (i.e. barracuda / king prawns / sate bbq) were mouthwatering. We have tried and enjoyed the local restaurants Susu and Badini as well as facilities of adjacent resorts Aneka and Matahari with a wonderful Spa. We have rented motor-scooters, enjoyed scuba diving with ‘searovers’ located at Adi Assri and went on a snorkeling and diving expedition to Menjangan Island. Hiked with the guide through the National Park and bought eggs at the local supermarket ? Due to low humidity compared to the south and middle of Bali the temperature was high but comfortable which was an eye-opener for us and all in a beautiful setting with the green and steep mountains in the background and sea in front of you. A place to remember and to recommend to anyone who likes to relax and enjoy holiday deluxe style!

Top Location.

In July I stayed in villa Semadhi in Pemuteran with my daughter and family. The accommodation was truly wonderful, suitable for 8 people in a large private garden at the beach. The scenery of the mountains and the bay is impressive. The staff is very friendly and make you feel like royalty. Food was beautiful, and we really enjoyed having dinner in the pavilion in the middle of a lotus pond or sitting in the beachpavilion overlooking the bay. The children like swimming and snorkelling in the sea and the huge pool. It is a very relaxed environment and you are not bothered on the beach by people selling souvenirs like in Seminyak. My favourite spot was a deck chair under the trees directly at the sea overlooking the beautiful bay. On the left the volcanoes of Java and on the right the Pulaki temple. Beautiful sunrise and sunset. You will come back rejuvenated.

Great time, very relexed place!!

We stayed with a group of friends at Semadi in October last year and had a brilliant time. It was a relief to get out of the crazy congested south of Bali. Pemuteran Bay is beautiful and very relaxed. Nobody is bothering you on the beach and the locals are very friendly. A trip to Menjangan Island is a must, but we also enjoyed the snorkelling at the reef project. A few strokes from the beach you are already above the corals. We loved the huge outdoor bathrooms and the bedroom in the pavilion is a beauty with great views. Beds were good, much better then at other places we stayed before. Staff is perfect, very friendly and the girls have great smiles. The villa is a wonderful place to be. Most of the time we just stayed there, relaxed, had a few beers looked at the sea and talked. Would not mind going back there.

We were both born in The Hague in the Netherlands and love travelling. In 1991 we started a trip around the world and fell in love with Bali. We returned several times but after having children mainly had Europe as holiday destination. When we went back to Bali with the family in 2008 we found the perfect place to build our future home in paradise.

Why they chose this property

When we went back to Bali in 2008, it was a bit of a shock how busy the south was. A lot had changed in 15 years. In Pemuteran we found the relaxed atmosphere that we loved and the conditions that we think will keep this place special for the future. The scenery around the bay is magnificent and for snorkeling and diving it is probably the best spot in Bali. The people are special and the community is very much involved in protecting the area. It is a privilege to be there.

What makes this property unique

A friend that stayed with us mentioned that the villa is a destination by itself. He felt so relaxed and just liked being there, enjoying the scenery and listening to the waves. The garden is very large compared to most villas in Bali, giving it a sense of space. The style is traditional and there are many large trees, giving the impression that the house belongs there. Add to the experience a friendly staff that takes care of all your needs and a private boat to explore the area, go fishing and watch the sunset. We also have 8 mountainbikes and two kayaks free to use. One of our staffmembers can take you on a tour to visit the area. Take a bikeride to the 3 temples, Kerta Kawat, Melanting and Belantung ( Jungle temple), not far from the villa, and nestled in a beautiful oasis.
