Come Relax in This Beautiful Home 19 Red Cedar Trail on Bald Head Island!

Come enjoy a relaxing family vacation in this wonderful coastal cottage surrounded by mature live oak and palmetto trees. This custom built home is located in the heart of Bald Head Island.

It is on the golf courses hole# 15 and is a 1 minute golf cart ride to South Beach. This convenient location is close to the Bald Head Island Club, Maritime Market, Ice Cream Shoppe, Old Baldy, Wildlife Observation Deck and of course the pristine beaches! It is short golf cart ride along the beach or through the maritime forest to the Shoals Club on East Beach.

The home is fully appointed with beautiful, comfortable furnishings and plenty of storage space.

The kitchen is a cooks delight and fully equipped with everything you need. It is open to the den and dining room. It offers built in seating for four at the island, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The dining room has seating for eight with a variety of placemats and serving platters to choose from to make every meal special. You can also enjoy your meals outdoors on our screened in living and dining room. This table also seats eight.

The den offers seats for all with the comfortable sectional sofa, oversized club chair and two rattan club chairs. It also has a fireplace for the cooler months, TV, DVD, and VCR. It overlooks the golf course. The den opens up to the screened in living room.

This outdoor room also overlooks the golf course and has a sitting area with a sofa, love seat and club chair with ottoman. It also has a dining table that seats eight. The two ceiling fans will keep you cool while you dine alfresco.

The downstairs bedroom has a king size bed, walk-in closet, TV, DVD, VCR and full bath.

The upstairs master bedroom has a king size bed, 2 closets, a relaxing sitting area overlooking the golf course, TV, VCR, and DVD. The bath offers a jetted tub, separate shower and his and her separate vanities.

The third bedroom has bunk beds with a pull out trundle, window seat with bookcase, TV, VCR, DVD and a full bath.

The laundry room and half bath are downstairs.

A six passenger golf cart, bicycles, beach chairs, beach toys, boogie boards, scooters and umbrellas are included.

There are several outfitters to choose from if you want to rent kayacks, paddle boards, surf boards etc.

You can walk to the Wildlife Observation Deck to see turtles, birds, fish and alligators that call this pond home.

Membership to the Shoals club is available. The Shoals Club is located at eastern tip of the island. It offers stunning panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, full size pool, separate children's pool, volleyball court, bocce ball court, gourmet dining inside the clubhouse, casual dining and bar outside by the pool, fitness room, towel service, kid camps and access to the beach complimentary chairs and umbrellas.

Membership to the Bald Head Island Club is available. The BHI Club is a full service club offering golf, tennis, croquet, volleyball court, full size pool, towel service, fitness center, gourmet dining in the club house, casual dining poolside. Enjoys views of the Atlantic ocean while dining at the Pelicatessan.

This house is much more spacious than we were expecting! The screened in porch was a huge plus. The kitchen is well equipped, neat and organized. The whole house is in pristine condition. The location is central and a quick golf cart ride to all parts of the island. We hope to revisit soon!

Property manager was wonderful!The only issue was the golf cart, it needed brakes and the Teagan helped us most promptly. However, the golf cart does need to be replaced with a newer one.The home was well stocked and communication was wonderful. The beds were also comfortable and there were extra blankets etc., which was most appreciated!Thank you,Georgina

Regular Bald Head Visitor

We are a regular BHI visitor and this was the first time at this property. The property was clean and as advertised. We loved the screened in porch to enjoy the nights in the forest! We did have issues with the only golf cart that comes with the property (perhaps the one drawback is that most properties have two) but the property owners were responsive to our needs and worked with us to try and correct as quickly as possible.

Lovely property!

Very secluded and private house in the center of BHI. Cozy and well-appointed. House was well-stocked with hand soaps, detergent, and kitchen spices, which made cooking in the kitchen quite nice! I absolutely loved the screened in porch. The mornings and evenings were quite nice to sit out there and have breakfast or read a book. The location is 5 min from BHI club and 10 min from Shoals. Easy beach access. 5 min to the market. I highly recommend you stay here. We had a couple of little maintenance issues come up during our stay and Dargan Tunstall was quick to respond and assist. Very comfortable stay for my family and friends! Definitely would stay here again.

Lovely Retreat

So fun to stay at this house in the forest! The location is central and close to both the market and the beach! The home was spacious, comfortable and perfect for our group of 6. Everything we needed was there to ensure we would be comfortable and entertained! Bikes, beach gear, golf cart and well appointed kitchen and laundry room. The screened in porch was a favorite spot to relax ands play games! The homeowner was friendly and accessible. The golf cart could use a tune up on the brakes and steering but it wasn't a big deal. We will return, thank you!

Paradise in the forest

This is our third stay at this property. This time we rented for three weeks. The property offers everything you need for your your family while at BHI. The porch is my favorite place to enjoy the nature sounds morning and night.

Great vacation will return to the island next year. The house was very nice, could have been a little cleaner but great people to rent from. Had a issue with golf cart the owner rented me a golf cart until there’s was fixed. All in all I give it a 9 out of 10

Love this house!

I have stayed at a couple different houses on BHI and this might be my favorite. I loved the layout of the house and most importantly ... the screened in porch. I had my coffee out there in the morning while the sun came up and the kids rode their bikes to the market for breakfast. I will be staying here again!

The home was beautiful and the kitchen was fully stocked with all the essentials to cook.

My family loved the bikes! There are few things I would suggest. The trundle bed mattress needs to be replaced. The springs were poking out. The porch was very nice, but the cushions were moldy and sandy. The place stated “ no dogs” but I was constantly sweeping dog hair the entire week. The dryer needs to be replaced, takes a long time to dry clothes. We arrived on Saturday at 4 pm and the trash was over flowing until Wednesday pick up. The VRBO stated checkout is 11am. The cleaning lady came at ten, we were told checkout is 10am. This information needs to be updated on the website. Ending on a positive note,The owner was very nice to work with.

Nice BHI home in a quiet setting

We really enjoyed our stay over the Labor Day weekend. The home is in a nice, quiet setting and has plenty of room. Kids enjoyed the bunk beds. The house is centrally located to all the BHI has to offer. Can't wait to go back!

Great, relaxing vacation

I stayed at this property on Bald Head with my husband and 2 kids, 9 and 7. The house was perfect for us. The kids loved the bunk beds and my daughter especially liked the reading nook in that bedroom. The screened porch was nice to hang out on in the evening. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed as well. The property is just a short ride to the beach and to the market. The owner was very responsive with any questions that we had. I would highly recommend this property!

Everything you need for a great vacation at BHI

Super location, great house, fully stocked kitchen, wonderful screened porch, bikes, beach toys, golf cart, all great condition and plenty to choose from. It had everything . Our family loved this house. There is plenty of space to spread out, the beds were comfortable, and it had everything we needed. I especially loved the bikes. My favorite was the one with the trailer behind it. Great to carry beach chairs and toys as well as groceries. Only thing I would change is adding a golf cart because the house sleeps 7 and the golf cart fits 6, but that is a very minor "need".

Secluded Comfort

This lovely and spacious home is located just inside the maritime forest, which provides a relaxing feeling of seclusion but easy and quick access to the south beach. Its three bedrooms, each with an en-suite bath, are spacious and located apart from each other, which adds to the overall quiet charm of the house. The open-concept living, dining and kitchen space is perfect for family time, and the screened-in porch off of the living area provides extra space to relax and enjoy meals. The house was clean, comfortably furnished and decorated with cheerful colors. The owners were very helpful and answered all our questions promptly. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants a little more privacy, a lovely golf course view and all the amenities of home!

Perfect Vacation for everyone!

This home is wonderful... relaxing, comfortable...perfect for family and friends. We cooked in everynight since the kitchen was equipped and the porch was fun to relax on, eat and visit. Also...supplies there! Bonus and a luxury! Makes your place an A+++.....little treats count! The setting is amazing and quiet plus only a 5 minute walk to the beach or 2 minute golf cart ride. We rode bikes everywhere and was convenient and fun. Our family is excited to return. Seriously.... A perfect spot for all! Thanks, Tunstalls for offering your home. A gem! Also- needed to call /email owners about club info and they responded prompty. Thanks again for everything!

Vacation Paradise on Bald Head Island

My family had an unbelievable trip to Bald Head Island, and this property was a huge factor. Although the house has 3 bedrooms, there was more than plenty of space for our family of 5. The house provided a great area for congregating with an open den and kitchen. The kitchen had wonderful appliances and granite countertops. The dining area had a big table with plenty of seating for all. The bedrooms are spread out so that you are not on top of each other. You really feel as if you can get away and relax. The screened porch provides an additional living room outdoors and is large enough for everyone. I love the decor of this house! The colors are the blues, greens and yellows of the beach, and the furnishings are lovely. The house was super organized and spotless. Every amenity you would need is on site. The garage contained everything you would need for a fun day at the beach. Bikes, boogie boards, beach toys, bocci, etc. We would definitely stay here again, and I would highly recommend this property.

We love spending as much time as possible on Bald Head Island. We hope that our home can help you create special memories too.

Why they chose this property

After visiting the Island for many years I chose to purchase a home in the maritime forest on the golf course. Our home is located right behind the primary dune so there are no houses behind us and the golf course is in front of us. This location provides privacy but is also close to all the amenities the Island offers.

What makes this property unique

We love spending the days exploring the Island. When we come home it is great to get the kids all cleaned up in the outdoor shower. Then we love to cook something delicious and sit out on the screened in porch. The wind blows through the palmetto trees creating a very relaxing environment.
