The property was very clean and well maintained. Our grandkids and kids absolutely had a ball even though the weather didn’t cooperate with us. Big spacious rooms and a gorgeous view of the lake. We will definitely return to this house next year.
We had 13 adults and really enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were all comfortable and clean! We definitely will add this house to our rent again stay.
Enjoyed property. Property was nice, clean and information on all aspects of stay were very clear and very detailed.
Kids loved the dock and ability to play and jump off 2 story pier.
Beautiful log home and great location. Truly enjoyed our stay and the property manager was very responsive. Will definitely be back next year. Just watch out for the steep driveway.
We had a wonderful stay. The log home is well -maintained, and the location is beautiful! The view from the back deck can not be beat. Loved the quiet location and not much boat traffic. We enjoyed some great meals gathered around the large dining table. Five stars for this amazing home!
Fabulous property!!! Well maintained, very spacious, great for a crowd, well stocked, and an incredible view!!! Home owner was quick to respond and very helpful.
The house was amazing. There was plenty of room for everyone, never felt crowded. The beds were very comfortable. The photo albums documenting the entire construction of the log home were very interesting. The theater was a big hit and the pool table was the site of many intense games in the evening :) We had a great time here and would definitely come back.
This was the most beautiful, peaceful lakehouse we’ve ever stayed in. Absolutely can’t recommend it enough! The views are unbeatable, the neighborhood safe and peaceful, the amenities in the home over the top. Can’t wait to go back!
We were very comfortable with our large family for a holiday gathering! There is plenty of sleeping space and things to do for both kids and adults! The pictures do not do this property justice! The views are stunning and the cabin is homey and comfortable!
The house was amazing, well appointed with quality utensils and more space than you need, the back porch is great for coffee and looking at the Lake, and Jason was so easy to get ahold of and very communicative. Can’t wait to come back next year!
Log house is amazing and location on the lake is perfect. Little ones loved the white sand beach across the lake. House was well stocked and had everything we needed. Owner was extremely responsive to all my questions and made the process effortless. Beds were very comfortable. Would like to see more outdoor seating to enjoy the amazing sunsets from the dock and the deck. This is a beautiful location on the lake.
We really liked the property. There wasn’t as many boats as are typically which made the water smooth for jet skis.
Property is fairly close to the water. Would like to see a railing on the wall going to the lake. It is pretty steep and was difficult for my mom without something to hold on to.
Great trip with extended family.
My family and I stayed here over the week of Christmas as a family of 6, and had more than enough room. We originally planned for 8, and still would’ve had room. The home had an open concept with tall ceilings on the main level. Great woodsy/cabin meets the lakes vibe. Wrap around porches and jutted out windows to create reading nooks… very loved by this crew! We loved the movie room with the projector. We were able to connect our devices up and play movies/games through that, but there were options to watch already on the system it’s connected too. Enjoyed the pool table! We did all the cooking for the week there, and we were impressed with how well the kitchen was stocked with basics and utensils/pans/bowls/etc. We also appreciated the openness to dogs, as animal lovers. We didn’t have any with us, but love that we could’ve. All the bedrooms worked well for us, and the bathrooms were spacious! Good room for parking, just be mindful of the steeper initial part of the driveway. We would absolutely return! Happy New Year!
Wonderful home to relax and enjoy quality time with family. 2 hours to Tuscaloosa for a campus visit and time with our student. Spring Break for other 2 high school sons.
Kitchen was well stocked and communication with host was simple and clear. Check out procedures were some of the simplest we’ve experienced- we thought we were forgetting something.
Chef Troy’s was a hit with the boys - French toast for dessert and fluffy pancakes over a waffle!

About the host
Hosted by Jason Fisher
Our family purchased this lot in 2005 and began building this log home. Other than contracting with a company to erect the logs and getting the structure in the dry, we did all of our own work on the interior, which makes this home extra special to us. It has been a gathering place for our extended family from Alabama and Tennessee for summer weekends and holidays for over15 years. We have enjoyed many special memories here and are happy to provide our home for other large families to gather.
Why they chose this property
We choose this property because it allowed us to build the home just twenty feet from the lake and a few feet above the flood line. This means that when you exit on the lower level you only have an elevation drop of about fifteen feet to the walkway to the dock. Across from the home is the Bankhead National Forest, so there are no homes or docks on the other side of the lake to ruin beautiful sunsets.
