HAS ROACHES!!! To start off the trip the wifi didn’t work and then we come back after sightseeing to find that the place is infested with roaches. They then fought me on giving me a refund for my stay. Do not stay here!!!

Weekend Wedding in Galveston

The Knotty Mermaid was lovely and perfect for our weekend in Galveston for a wedding. We loved all the quaint touches in the home. The living space was comfortable and roomy for the three of us and our two small dachshunds. The two beds were comfortable and the mini split AC units kept the house nice and cold! The parking in the alley was very nice! We were able to park a Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck. It is tight and would not fit larger vehicles but for a small truck or car it is PERFECT! The backyard was fully fenced in and offered a wonderful space for our dogs to get out and run around. I would recommend the Knotty Mermaid and we would definitely stay there again for any future trips to Galveston.

The Knotty Mermaid, your home away from home. March 23-25 3024

Our stay was truly the best! You are surrounded by a warm and friendly atmosphere. Communications with the host were impeccable and speedy. The Knotty Mermaid has a nautical theme. It can sleep 6 since there are 2 separate bedrooms and a futon. The bathroom has a huge walk in shower with tile walls and glass doors. There’s plenty of thick bath towels, hand towels & washcloths.The living room has a large open concept which encompasses the LV & TV as well as the kitchen. The kitchen came fully stocked with dishes, cookware, utensils, soap, paper towels. The appliances were new and consisted of a microwave, stove, oven, a coffee maker, dishwasher and fridge. The beds were super comfy with plenty of plush comforters. There’s ceiling fans in all rooms. There was plenty of room out back for our 2 little pooches to roam and sniff! The back porch had comfy Adirondack chairs and a table which held our phones, drinks and plates. There was a fire pit and a bbq grill. I loved sitting outside watching the birds in the huge tree, enjoying moments of serenity. Both front and back doors had automatic security locks. We felt completely safe staying here. There’s ample parking. The Knotty Mermaid is completely modern with a feel of yesteryear. It is very whimsical with the mermaid and nautical theme. It is the best place to rest and unwind from your daily job and life. We absolutely loved it and will be back and tell all of our friends! It’s a 15 min walk or 5 minute drive to the beach.
