Welcome to 'Barefoot Chic'!

Enjoy expansive Gulf views from the multiple decks of this 4BR/3.5BA pet-friendly beach house (Large Dog Friendly! Allows up to 2 well-behaved dogs up to 70lbs and requires advance approval and pet fee of $150 + tax). This well-equipped home has something for everyone!

Relax into the softly hued top floor living area with comfortable seating and large, flat screen TV and DVD player. The large kitchen features stainless steel appliances, dedicated panty, large breakfast counter with additional seating and plenty of space for multiple chefs. The dining table can seat up to 10 with additional dining on the screened-in porch. The covered and furnished deck with daybed swing is the perfect spot to enjoy the sunrise and vast water views. The top floor Master bedroom has a King sized bed, deck access, TV and private bathroom with double vanity, jetted tub and separate, tiled roll-in shower.

Downstairs you’ll find an additional TV space with Queen sleeper sofa and access onto a furnished covered deck with daybed swing overlooking the Gulf of Mexico and private pool. The first of 3 bedrooms on this floor has a Queen sized bed, twin bed w/ trundle pull out (2 twins), TV, access to the covered deck and a private bathroom with double vanity, jetted tub and roll-in shower. The bunk bedroom has two tall bunks (4 twins), TV and deck access. The last bedroom has a King sized bed, TV and access onto the covered deck. A large shared bathroom at the end of the hall features a double vanity and roll-in shower.

Additional amenities include multiple decks overlooking the Gulf of Mexico or the main road, Gulf Beach Drive, a laundry room with full size washer/dryer, main floor half bath and elevator. This home is handicap-friendly with elevator servicing each floor and accessible bathrooms but please note there is no wheelchair ramp available at exterior doors.

Challenge family and friends in a game of yard-sized Jenga and Connect-4 or simply relax in the sun or the shade of the under-house lounge and entertaining area with hot tub. Unwind in the evenings around the firepit or take a dip in your own private pool.

Outdoor features include a covered grilling area with propane grill and 2 single park-style charcoal grills, fish cleaning sink, enclosed hot/cold outdoor shower, shaded and private lounge area with hot tub, fire pit, poolside sundeck and private swimming pool with pool heat option for a $400 fee.

A community beach boardwalk and off-street parking can be found at 8th Street, a quick 3 minute walk from the home.

Wonderful time at Barefoot Chic!

We had a wonderful time at this property. Everything was as described and we found the kitchen to be fully stocked. Was a perfect place to relax and enjoy time with family. The elevator was a wonderful bonus for my parents. We hope to visit again soon. Management company was quick to respond to our requests.

Thanksgiving Vacation

We loved the house, pool, hot tub and that it was an easy walk to the beach. The only thing we had an occasional problem with was the buttons on the elevator but all and all I would give this house a five star rating. I wished they had a guest book we could had left them a message about how much we enjoyed their house.

Fantastic House

We had a fantastic vacation at Barefoot Chic! The house was beautiful. The many porches on both sides of the house were great - including the screened in dining porch. The layout was perfect for us - main floor master bedroom allowed us to put all of the kids/teenagers in the first floor bedrooms - which they loved! Beds were so comfortable! Pool and hot tub and fire pit and covered outside patio areas were fun. So many areas to spread out and so many areas to hang out all together! Easy walk to the beach. Easy golf cart ride (or walk) to restaurants and shopping. We loved this property!!

Forgotten shores Barefoot chic

No enoudgh private sleeping areas. Too many sandspurs in the pet area and human feet even with appropriate beach shoes. We left witn embedded spurs. Please read on..... Plus magnifcient setting, beautiful uncrowded beaches, less litter on any of Florida beaches, we have visited in last 14 years. We will be visiting the forgotten shores beaches again next summer.

Absolutely Perfect!!

This home, and I say home not house because it truly felt like home when we were there, was absolutely amazing!! It was a warm cozy small beach cottage vibe in a large scale house. We never felt far apart but still had enough space for privacy when we wanted it. The views from the balconies were beautiful and although there are a few houses between you and the beach they never felt obtrusive or blocked the sunrise/sunset! The home was extremely clean, cleanest I’d ever stayed in including 4 star hotels!! Location was perfect! Property manager was phenomenal! Not one issue and I can’t wait to stay here again!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The private pool, the hot tub, close access to the beach, all made this house FUN! The house was well stocked with kitchen utensils and appliances! Very clean and roomy! The elevator was essential for my senior mother! We would of liked a backyard access to walk over to the the beach instead of having to go all the around on the road. Overall, this was probably our favorite house that we've rented over the last 6 years of coming to SGI.

Great rental home for multiple families

The house was set up great for multiple families and the kitchen was the best stocked of any house we have rented. Pool was nice and the beach was a short walk away (note that construction started on a house directly in front of this one on our last day of vacation, so unfortunately the gulf view could go away soon). This is the third time we’ve rented from Forgotten Coast and they are by far the best to rent from. They are always very responsive and kind and do what they can to ensure a wonderful stay. A bad storm knocked out the pool heater during our visit and they had maintenance over within an hour to fix the issue. Same with a clogged drain, they had it fixed in no time. While there are other good property management companies on the island, Forgotten Coast continues to show why they’re the best.

Excellent Location!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Barefoot Chic is a great, centrally located rental house! It’s close to restaurants and stores, but not right on top of them. Truly a perfect location! There were 6 adults in our group, and the layout was excellent. I have a spinal cord injury, and the elevator was a necessary amenity for me. I appreciated the grab bar in the shower as well. It was wonderful to find a pet friendly place and also a swimming pool to relax in each day. The beach access was super easy and close, as well. I rented an electric beach wheelchair from Wheels in the Sand (book as early as possible), and it was delivered promptly. It handled the sand like a dream! We ate at many restaurants while there including The Blue Parrot (get there early for dinner~ my blackened scallops were really good!), The Beach Pit for breakfast (French toast!) and dinner, Harry A’s (Great stuffed shrimp!), Paddy’s (Best oysters we had), Weber’s Donuts (Get there 30 min or more before opening~ our visit was in mid August and many schools had already resumed, and we still waited in line for 30 minutes. Well-worth the wait, though!!) Definitely get ice cream at least once if not daily at Aunt Ebby’s. The scoops are huge and I loved trying various flavors in a waffle cone! Lastly, we enjoyed the light house, the museum, the state park, lazy days at the beach, and seeing the area. We drove to Carabelle, Appalachicola (twice!), Cape San Blas, Port St Joe, and Panama City. We had a really great time and hope to come back one day!!

We had three families staying, and everyone felt like they had privacy and their own space.
