The space
I try to add a personal touch to show my appreciation to every guest that I have the honor of hosting! This duplex property is the twin sister of the other property that I currently have on Airbnb(with a private description). It has also been recently renovated and equipped with furniture and amenity updates for your absolute comfort. This second-floor unit of the home gives you a hotel experience, but without the room service of course. Comfortable furniture, soft towels, toiletries, kitchenware, TV, and WiFi for your use. Gated property with a private drive-way and a spacious front and backyard for your leisure. The house is located in the middle of the city, so no matter what direction you’re headed it won’t take you long to reach your destination. Yet the house is perfectly tucked away so that you can relax and escape the hustle and bustle of Houston, TX. The house is suitable for children and infants so take advantage of the restaurants & entertainment nearby. Take a walk to Emancipation Park to rent a bicycle to ride around the city, visit a local brewery, attend a concert, or head to Midtown for the nightlife!

Found what we were looking for!

We were moving our daughter into the dorms at UH this week and were looking for somewhere convenient to stay for a few days during the process when we stumbled across this place. Our host, Angelina, was wonderful. We stayed in the top duplex and it checked all of our boxes. Not only was the house super cute, it was very clean, has secured, gated parking, and was less than 5 minutes from campus. Quite a few of the houses in the neighborhood are undergoing renovation, so there were some constructions sounds during the day, but the neighborhood was quiet otherwise, and we never felt unsafe. This was a perfect “base camp” for us and we will definitely be returning when we go to visit.

Good location for our holiday

The location was very close and convenient (15 minutes by Uber) to the events and venues we attended, which was great. We found the several security codes hard to remember. The instructions provided for the gate did not match how to close the gate (no “enter” button - the gate did not close using the instructions given). The bed was comfortable, the AC worked well, the suite is bright. The floor was very sticky everywhere but the rest of the condo seemed clean.Things are getting to the end of their life (coating peeling off kitchen stools, cooking pans that are scratched and no longer non stick for example).

A bit misleading...

The pictures are a bit outdated as the property is a bit rundown conpared to the pictures. Pictures make the furniture look large but not accommodating for 4 adults. The gate didnt function properly. There was also no previous mention of only one person being allowed to park within the gate. This is not a safe area and the gate is a selling point so limiting to one person defeats the purpose. I also dont recall it mentioning this being a shared property.
