About the host
Hosted by Janice
My husband, Joe and I moved to Waynesville from Minneapolis in 2022. We love the area and take pride in creating a friendly, inviting space for our guests. The location is very secluded, however it's an active property with chickens, geese, sheep, and goats.
Why they chose this property
While the property is remote and offers a peaceful escape, it is a short drive with easy access to the Cataloochee valley entrance of the Smoky Mountains (elk sightings), Blue Ridge Parkway, downtown Waynesville, town of Cherokee (casino and Smoky Mountain entrance), and skiing in Maggie Valley. Asheville is a 30 minute drive.
What makes this property unique
The private patio off the property is surrounded by mountains, and you can hear the water flowing from the creek and waterfall near our pond. The patio also overlooks our 7 acre pasture where we have sheep, goats and chickens. If you are an early riser, we encourage you to peak around the corner facing east and enjoy the breathtaking sunrise views over the mountains.
