Great location but needs some work!

Great location on West side of Sedona-- away from the tourists. Really nice cabin with plenty of space. Very close to hiking park at base of Coffee Pot Rock. Great and sizable deck off back. Downside is : 1) Too many keys /locks to handle. Need one master key for all. 2) Heating and A/C are a challenge. Would not want to stay there on really cold or really hot days. 3) Shower in master bath is Tokyo size. 4) Several light bulbs out --ceiling and elsewhere.

Older colege women friends together for reunion.

And this home, cozier than words can say, was just perfect for us! Clean as could be, and better stocked than any other VRBO experience, including park passes and walking sticks. So close to a wonderful trailhead to great red rock areas with fabulous views during walks, in such special country. The owner was terrifically kind and accommodating, quickly helpful. We especially loved the back deck with the generous variety of Comfortable choices for sitting! West Sedona has so many advantages over places in Sedona proper, we thought, including the Coffee Pot Cafe, just down the hill (5 min), as well as the Fiesta Cafe with its excellent Mexican food, even closer. THANK YOU very much, Sarah!

Wonderful family reunion time.

We had seven adults over the age of 60 who enjoyed the house and amenities of this listing. It was like being in a comfortable cabin-like home (lots of wood to make it seem rustic), but with all the conveniences available. The location cannot be beat for proximity to grocery stores and especially the main streets and shopping district of Sedona. Yet, the neighborhood was quiet and the neighbors were friendly. I almost wish we could buy the place and live there full-time!

Perfect Vacation Spot

This is such a great property! My family and I were thrilled with the cozy cabin feel, the comfortable beds, the location (close to trailheads), and the views which are spectacular! This cabin is in a wonderful quiet neighborhood, but it's also close to grocery stores and restaurants. We will definitely book the Coffee Pot Cabin again when we're in Sedona!

Cozy cabin / convenient location

We stayed at the property for 5 days and had a very peasant experience. The house is cozy (with heated floors), has an open living area that easily accommodated 8 people, and is located in a convenient spot. It was easy to find, is walking distance (less than 1/2 mile) to a grocery store with a Starbucks and the trailhead is a block away. The property owner was very responsive and accommodating. I would definitely recommend.

Great place!!!

Excellent comfortable well stocked home, extremely cozy and walking distance to trails. This is the best! Sheets were clean and beds were comfortable. Shades on every window. Backyard is fenced in which was helpful with our dogs. Tv has Netflix, etc. Sarah was very responsive and helpful! She had thought of everything- extra TP, laundry detergent, dishwashing detergent, shampoo, conditioner, individually packed make-up wipes, etc Will return again and actually looking forward to it.

Lovely November getaway

The atmosphere was very homey and well equipped. Everything we needed was in the kitchen, lots of additional amenities as well! Sarah checked in with us to make sure all was well. The cabin is well located, easy walking access to trails, restaurants and the grocery store. We just loved to hang out on the porch! Thank you for sharing.

Cozy cabin in West Sedona is a perfect group getaway spot!

The charm of this 1950's style cabin that has been renovated to meet the needs of families or groups that enjoy easy access to the wonder of the red rocks of Sedona combined with the best guest care experience I have ever had through VRBO makes this a must stay! Sarah was super to deal with and she even had a nearby neighbour, Barbara, checking in on us to be sure we had whatever we needed if anything was missing. The kitchen was very well stocked and all the appliances worked well. The group enjoyed the cool of the swamp coolers upstairs but found them noisy. Two driveways made for easy comings and goings and the back deck was a favourite spot when we weren't out or gathered in the open kitchen/dining room area. I would love to be here in the cool months just to watch the fire as it is a lovely feature. I am very happy with how this sweet spot nourished us all. Many thanks! EagleSpirit

Family Vacation for 10

This property is in west Sedona. It was conveniently located and provided easy access to local trails. For this trip there were 10 of us. Our group was 9 adults and 1 teen, the house didn’t feel cramped. We had access to both the main house and cute lower apartment. It gave us plenty of space for everyone. The back deck had a grill and was large enough for everyone to gather. The owners provided really helpful information on the local area, local trail maps, and extremely thorough instructions for checking in and out. One little quirk about the house was definitely the lights! But the owners have done a great job labeling them all. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and utensils. We did have to use the swamp coolers a few times. They did work well and we froze a few people out. But it lead me to find this wonderful “jean” pocket blanket. Overall the house has more of a cabin feel; but, you aren’t paying as much as the Courtyard down the street. We would definitely look to stay here again if it were available.

Our group of eight thought it was great!

When we arrived at the beautiful, rustic cabin we found it to be clean and well supplied. Every imaginable need was thought of. The place was cozy and at the same time felt roomy. We loved the view, the deck, the well furnished kitchen (we cooked several times while there) and the home's proximity to trail and town. Thank you Sarah for a great stay.

Great trip to Sedona...

We are bi-annual visitors to Sedona to come mountain biking but this is the 1st time we've ever stayed on the West side. This property has almost immediate access to the the Tea Cup trails which part of our group rode and others hiked. You also have easy access to the Chuckwagon-Mescal area which is one of our favorites. While there can be a ton of traffic on the West side, the access to shops (including the best bike shop....Over the Edge) and restaurants was pretty amazing so that worked out on our favor for sure. The house itself was perfect for our group of men who needed plenty of separate beds. We had 3 indoor showers and one outside (which we didn't use). The biggest highlight for a larger group was the large open layout for hanging out and conversing with each other. The owner provides a bike stand to work on bikes and you have access to misc parts as well. We had pretty much perfect temperatures so didn't need the heaters or AC so I can't comment on that. We didn't even get around to turning on the huge flat screen TV but I'm sure it was great. All of the kitchen appliances were new and top of the line. The dishwasher was so quiet I didn't even know it was on. I also must comment on how well stocked the house was. I rent homes off VRBO and AirBnB all over the Western US 8-10 times a year and this house was the 2nd best stocked house I've ever rented and the BEST when it came to mountain bikers. All of my buddies were impressed. The quality of the bedding and towels was top notch as well with plenty of spares. We'll definitely stay here in the future anytime I need a property of this size.

Great House, Great Location

Our family spent 6 weeks working from home here and mountain biking every chance we got. Many days we just rode out the door a block to the teacup trailhead and either ride wast or East to tons of trails. We often would walk to the grocery store, the brewery, you name it. The house has more of a cabin feel that we loved. Everything is on one level which meant no stairs or baby gate for the toddler. Great view of thunder mountain out the front window. Fires on cold nights in the fireplace and a huge deck to lay in the sun by day. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. We joked that if it had a hot tub we might not have moved out!

Wonderfully stocked comfortable home is perfect for family get-togethers!

We were delighted the moment we walked in. The front door opens to the main living area which includes the kitchen and dining area. There is plenty of comfortable seating and a fireplace. Big windows let in lots of light, and a kitchen counter doubles as a breakfast bar separating the kitchen from the main room. We loved how open but cozy it felt. A table by the door held area maps, park passes, and a couple of treats! There were a cabinet full of games, lots of firewood in the carport, and plenty of magazines. There are 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on one floor. The master bedroom is huge, even with the king bed. The door opening onto the very large deck was convenient; there's another door to the deck from the main living area. The owners have stocked the kitchen with plenty of cookware, plates, bowls, glasses, mugs, flatware, plastic storage containers... you won't want for a thing. The bathrooms were also well-stocked with soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion... it really was just like being at home. My entire family recommends this house without hesitation. The owner was available to answer any questions by phone or text and even checked to make sure we settled in okay. It was the perfect place for our family to spend Christmas together. Thanks to the owners for providing us a completely stress-free holiday!

Perfect getaway house for trail lovers on bikes or on foot!

Loved the house. Perfect for a small group or a few couples. 5 of us stayed in the house for a mountain biking trip and it was one of our favorites of any trip so far. Comfy living room, small touches of sunscreen options, cycling themed artwork, double oven, the backyard bike stand for repairs and cleaning....the soul in this place made it shine. Well stocked with everything you need to cook, sleep comfortably, and relax after a long day on the trails (the entrance to teacup is 1 block away)! Also, Over the Edge Sports is very close to the house for sick bike rentals, the Oak Creek Brewery is right down the street with amazing beer (Scottish Ale yes please), burritos, and a fire pit where music is playing all the time and the neighborhood is quiet....very nice to relax at the end of a long day.

Great location! Spacious and comfortable, well stocked cabin and responsive host!

This is a perfect location by which to enjoy the great outdoors of Sedona. Th is old world cabin is in a lovely, quiet neighborhood with easy access to trails, restaurants, grocery stores and yet away from the tourist chaos. The cabin itself is spacious, well stocked and charming. It comfortably accommodated a group of six with one bedroom in the basement to spare! The host is very responsive and answers questions (graciously), regarding both Sedona and the cabin in a timely fashion. Maps and parking passes provided help navigate the trails and parks easily. Will definitely return!

Hello! Thank you for checking out my profile page. I'd like to give you a little background info about myself and my family. My husband, Jimmy Faust, and I have lived in Crested Butte a combined 70 years! We've both been in CB on average 35 years...we're almost locals, haha!

I grew up in Winchester, VA and then went to school at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC where I received a BS in Hospitality Management and an MBA in Business Administration. I went on to work in NYC in the hotel industry but needed to make my way back to the mountains. I've made Crested Butte my home where I birthed and raised my children. My husband is from Pierz, MN, a small farming town in central MN. He attending St Cloud State for 1 year and then transferred to Western State College in Gunnison, CO, where he earned his BS in Marketing. He managed "The Bakery Cafe" for 12 years while concurrently starting his construction business. He continues to be a highly acclaimed builder in CB. He is also know for his tenure of winning titles of the infamous "Elk Mountain Grand Traverse".

We both have "grown up" in Crested Butte...we've witnessed and experienced all the changes to the area. We absolutely love living in the Gunnison Valley...every aspect of it...We enjoy the beauty, the community, and the challenges. We both are avid skiers, mountain bikers, and hikers. We're happy to share our extensive knowledge of the area and trails with you.

Because of our love of mountain biking, we own homes in Sedona, AZ and Moab, UT...also mountain biking and hiking meccas like Crested Butte. We currently short term rent our place in Sedona when we can't be there. Our goal is to retire and rotate between the 3 spots, as the seasons change, following the best mountain biking conditions.

We look forward to hosting you! Please contact me with any questions you may have.

Why they chose this property

Hands down, this is the best spot in Sedona! Ideally located in one of the best neighborhoods in West Sedona. The Teacup/Sugar Loaf trailhead is just a quick 1 block walk away. From there you can access some of the best trails in the area. The infamous "Sugar Loaf" is a sought after location for sunsets and breathtaking panoramic views.

The house is perfect for small groups, 1 - 8 people. It has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathroom. The spacious, yet cozy living area is inviting the minute you walk in. The uniqueness of the house and decor make it a memorable stay. The house is one of the original houses in this older neighborhood. It is a vintage "cabin" with lots of character. The warmth and comfort of it make it feel like home from the first minutes. The views of Thunder Mountain and the red rocks are outstanding.

The backyard is a true gem. It is beautifully landscaped with mature trees, scrubs and roses. The 6' fence gives it privacy. The deck is loaded with outdoor furniture and a propane grill. It gives outdoor living a whole new level.

What makes this property unique

Close to some of the best trails in Sedona, as well as grocery stores, restaurants and shops. Unique, funky decor that you won't see in your typical short term rental; an incredibly well equipped kitchen and too many amenities to list.
