Only 5 min walk to Bass Lake, and 10 min drive to Culver, IN and Lake Maxinkuckee. Approx 1 hour and 40 min from Chicago. 6 BR/ 4 BA spacious home with wood burning fireplace. Large front yard perfect for sports playing or sledding downhill. On top of the hill in back of the house you will find a gazebo with a large hot tub that can be enjoyed year-round. The Main Level has vaulted ceilings and large panorama windows viewing bathe beautiful landscape in front of the house. There is a fully stocked kitchen, large living room with a cozy wood burning fireplace, large dining area, 1 Master bedroom, 2 additional bedrooms and a main bathroom with tub/shower combo. The lower level walkout basement has a spacious family room with TV entertainment center stocked with books, games and activities. The lower level Has 1 master bedroom and 2 additional bedrooms, a kitchenette, a bathroom with wet sauna and laundry room with new washer and dryer.

This was our third year in a row staying at Daniel’s place with our entire family. We love it there, especially the giant yard for everyone to play in. The house is clean and the location is good. Daniel is super easy to coordinate with. We highly recommend Daniel’s house.

Great weekend getaway

Great property for a weekend with friends

This listing was just as expected! The house was great, lots of beds/rooms, kitchen supplies and activities for our big group. The hot tub and big open years were perfect for enjoying the nice summer weather. Would definitely book here again

College friends annual retreat

We had 11 adults stay here for a 3 day weekend. The house was great, room for everyone, beds were comfortable and showers were fabulous. We enjoyed the open concept with the kitchen in the center where we could all hang out and talk and play games. House was well appointed with everything we needed.Owner was very responsive to messages. We would definitely return!

Fun Friends Weekend

Me and five friends had a blast staying at this house. Check-in and out was simple, and the house is beautiful with plenty of room for all of us. We grilled out and played games at the big table inside and out on the patio. The hot tub was great and we enjoyed walking around on the grounds around the house. We will definitely look to book here again next year.

Girl’s Trip

Had a wonderful time at Daniel’s house. Check in was easy! There are a ton of cactus patches along the hill up by the fire pit and hot tub, make sure to wear shoes! Plenty of beds and sleeping arrangements for our party of 11. Super hot weekend and the AC in the house was perfect! Basement is nice and cold. Only 5 min from Bass lake beach which was super nice and laid back. We bought fire wood but there was plenty in the property. Definitely enjoyed our stay and hope to come back sometime in the future!

Great Stay!

Property was perfect. There were 10 of us. Plenty of room to entertain inside and out! Host responded in a timely manner ! Great add was the volley ball net that was set up already! Even though it rained one of the days inside the property was great.

Great stay at Bass Lake

We had our kids and little grandkids at the house for a long weekend. Everyone had their own bathrooms. The kitchen was modern and the laundry was brand new. We played in the yard and used the fire pit. I would come back here again!

Another fantastic family reunion at Daniel's place

This is our second year getting our entire family together at Daniel's place, and we had another great time. It is big enough to accommodate three generations of our family. We cooked all of our meals and enjoyed them together -- the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to make meal prep easy. We spent time at the Beach and rented a boat on the other day. We enjoyed playing volleyball and soccer on the big yard and having fires and enjoying the hot tub in the evenings. I hope to be back next year!

Great family retreat

We loved this house and really enjoyed our family get together here with three generations of families. The inside is freshly redone and beautiful. It had plenty of space for a big group, and a large and welcoming well stocked kitchen where we prepared lots of meals and played a lot of games. The WiFi and AC worked great. We loved the outside space too and rented a pontoon boat at Lake Max one day and visited the beautiful beach at Lake Max on another day. We also walked along Lake Bass and found the area quite charming. We will definitely be back. Thanks Daniel!!

Perfect house for a family getaway!

We booked this house for a cousins trip with 6 couples. We have never been to Bass Lake area so we thought we’d give it a try. The house and area was exactly what we had hoped for! Plenty of space for 6 couples to each have their own bedroom. The kitchen was perfect for everyone to eat together. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit also. We were able to rent a pontoon boat for the day and loved it. The owner was wonderful to work with. He has done a great job renovating this house and making it perfect for a nice getaway. Everyone in our group loved every minute. We will definitely be back to Bass Lake!!

Relaxing Project Stay at Bass Lake

My team and I stayed at this property while working in the area. The amenities were exceptional! Beds are very comfortable, the showers and bathrooms are all clean with modern furnishings. It was luxurious. We had 7 people staying at the house, and there was ample room for everyone. The kitchen is the perfect size for hosting group dinners. The house is very well stocked with modern appliances. I wish I lived here year-round!! The property is situated on plenty of land which is lovely to enjoy coffee in the morning and listen to nature. Bass lake has a handful of restaurants that serve good food, and everyone is nice. 10/10 would stay here again.

Great location with lots of space for everyone

We had a group of 10 stay here over New Year's and had a great time. There's a large dining table where we played board games and ate, every couple got their own bedroom, and it was easy to spread out to do different things, having one group in the dining area, one in the upstairs living area, and one in the downstairs living area. We also made use of the hot tub, which was awesome (and covered in the gazebo!), but our only complaint there is that it's about 50ft uphill from the house, which is *cold* in December. There's a grocery about 5min away, which is convenient. There's also a bowling alley, which is fun if you want to get out and do something else. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider returning!

Perfect home/property for a large family/group!

This was a great space for our family long-weekend together. 6 bedrooms, including a bunk room that holds several children is hard to find! The kids loved the air hockey and ping pong tables, and the HUGE yard was perfect for kids to play. Large dining table, as well as additional countertop & high top seating made it nice that 16 of us could eat meals in the same room together. Space is still getting some updates, and the owner was very receptive to feedback. Home is near Wythogan public park with 6 pickleball courts and several playgrounds, and Maxinkuckee Public Beach with great lake swimming with lifeguards. We're definitely interested in renting the home again in the future!

Perfect for a group!

Our group came here for a friend reunion- 8 adults, 7 kids. Incredible home and space and wonderful for our group. The upstairs and downstairs provided a great divide for an adult and kid hang. The downstairs was stocked with the best kinds of entertainment (ping pong, air hockey and foosball. The space was CLEAN and comfortable, kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were cozy! There’s a variety of spaces for fun hangs inside and out. The property is large with lots of space to play and hang. Minutes away from Bass lake- we spent most of our time in Culver which is very close to the house as well and had lovely beach space. We would definitely stay here again!!

Perfect experience for our large group of 11

The property was a blast. Outdoors we played… badminton, bocce, we even brought our disc golf baskets to set up a wonderful 18 hole course on the property. Indoors, the place was clean, roomy, well appointed and stocked with everything we needed. The six bedrooms and four bathrooms made indoor living very easy and with three of the bedrooms on the main floor, our grandparent group (age 87-90) could easily engage and still find some quiet time apart as needed. Daniel was the perfect host, easy to access and responsive to any questions or needs. He clearly takes great pride in this property and is intent on providing a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.

Culver Parents Weekend

We enjoyed Daniel’s home over Culver Parents Weekend. The drive from Bass Lake to Culver was only about 15 minutes and very convenient to get to the Academy. We stayed with 3 family’s (5 adults, 7 teenagers and 2 younger siblings). There was plenty of room for all. We especially loved the 2 living areas upstairs for the adults and downstairs for the kids with plenty of games to keep them busy. We also loved the kitchen area and the hot tub was a huge hit. There is a nice space outside for grilling and the yard is huge for any type of outdoor games. This home is just as described and the remodel is modern and comfortable. Finding a home with 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms is difficult and they were all amazing, especially the showers. All beds and furnishings were comfortable. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends. Daniel was a pleasure to work with and was very accommodating for check in and check out. There are also several restaurants within a few minutes that had great food. Thanks for hosting us Daniel!
