This is an ideal getaway spot for those of us who love beautiful vegetation and peaceful surroundings. The accommodations were perfect for us -- cozy place to rest, do yoga, soak in some beauty and from which to adventure throughout the area. We will definitely return!
We loved our stay. Beautiful property- had fun roaming around and enjoying the chickens and lemons and oranges and hearing the birds. Proximity to Monterey and Carmel was good and there were so many hidden gems along the way. Would definitely come back again.
We truly like our stay. And I'd highly recommend to those who want to stay close to the nature, to relax or to recharge oneself. Their property is in a quiet and peaceful location. With plants of all kinds around, it is the spot to slow down and rewind. We wish we could have longer period to stay and explore the area. The host is very friendly and nice, as well as respect privacy.
Just stayed for a couple of days for some much needed R&R and solitude. Very secluded and peaceful and the booklet with nearby activities was very helpful. Highly recommended..

My two friends and I chose this location for a nice, peaceful, and relaxing getaway. I’ll start with the PROS: the scenery is absolutely beautiful, and the nearby downtown area is very cute with small coffee shops and restaurants to explore. When the resident family wasn’t home, it was nice and quiet. We also loved the friendly cat that came to visit—it was a sweet touch! Additionally, the owner was very responsive and quickly helped us when we needed new batteries for the remote.CONS: The listing stated it comfortably sleeps three with a queen bed and a twin bed, but the “twin bed” was actually an air mattress, not a real bed. Also, this rental is essentially a mother-in-law suite attached to the main house, which was not clearly described in the listing. Because of this, it felt less secluded than expected. We could hear the resident family, even with the windows closed, including children playing, screaming, and even full phone conversations. While we’re not opposed to kids being kids, we specifically chose this place expecting a more private and quiet experience. The listing describes it as a “cozy guest quarters” and it appeared under “entire home” results, which felt misleading given that it’s attached to an occupied main residence.Overall, this place has some lovely qualities, but clearer expectations in the listing would have made a big difference in our experience.
Absolutely loved this cozy little space! I spent the weekend here while attending a local clinic. It was SO quiet and restful! Would absolutely stay here again at the NEXT clinic!

Lovely farmhouse apartment in a quaint rural community
Thank you for opening this lovely farmhouse apartment! The private rural property was set up well for us, with attention to details. There was a lot to see and do in the area, the host provided a guide with great suggestions. The local roads were quiet but accessible and close to Route One.
I took my turning-13-year-old daughter on a birthday trip and this is where we chose to stay and we are so glad we did. We LOVED this property and studio apartment. The drive through the neighborhood was beautiful and relaxing, the property was spectacular, the studio apartment was beautiful and comfortable (makes me want to go home and throw away excess……. everything) and Jenn and her 7-year old son were friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and we would stay again in a heartbeat. Thanks, Jenn!
This is a lovely and quiet spot, tucked in the hills, away from the busyness of California. The property is soothing and is surely resplendent, when the flowers and plants wake from winter dormancy. Santa Cruz, Aptos, Carmel, Monterey are all within easy striking distance, but there are also old, groovy side roads to explore, nearby, that wind up hillsides and through tight valleys. We enjoyed a local vibe band night at the Corralitos Winery, which was ultra laid back and casual.
The side suite, while comfortable, could have been a bit better prepared with towels, toilet paper, a dish rack, a respectable coffee maker, and some other details, such as having tie-offs for the long blind cords, and providing a broom for sweeping up.
Overall, the stay was great, and the hosts were kind... just a few details need attention for ease of liveability.
The property and area is gorgeous, we were going for the secluded, quiet and serene aspects, but we didn't get to enjoy much of the nature or even have the windows open because the owner was on the property with their young children. This was our getaway from our own screaming children so we didn't feel like we could relax as much as we had hoped to. Room was clean, minus a piece of glass I found with my foot on day one (ouch) and when I was looking around to make sure there wasn't more glass I found a trail of ants, which I know happens in the country. I wanted to have late or early walks around the property, but whenever we wanted to, there was kids screaming/yelling in the background, which wasn't the vibe for us at all as that stresses us out to hear because we cannot fully relax as parents ourselves. Property owners are nice, but would have appreciated the listing to have more clarity/forewarning that the owners and their young children would be on the property. I wouldn't have gone here for a honeymoon if I had known that previously, that's for sure. It was a fairly big letdown for us. The view was amazing, and being away from the city was nice with good food nearby. But not being able to fully enjoy it and relax the way we wanted to was way too palpable.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and we appreciate the host being an owner of the property and not using a middle management agency to do the bookings. The host was nice and communicative over text. They had us stay at the geodesic dome instead of this listing due to some repairs. The dome was a nice set up and stay, but it was a little bare bones and not the most convenient - there were only two sets of towels, an old/used kitchen sponge, no dish soap, a bag of trash left in front of the main door, the shower was super slow to drain, and there was a communication mix up related to their gas line not working. They let us use their main house to cook in, which we thought was a good solution since we had just bought groceries nearby when they told us about the kitchen stove wasn't working, and they said no one would be there since they were out of town. We used it twice, and both times a very cute and friendly cat welcomed us and hung out with us while we cooked. The second time, we asked if anyone was home since lights were on even though we turned all the lights off previously. No one responded. After we cooked, we forgot to close a window and since it was pouring rain, my partner went back to close it and ran into someone in the house who said she would close the window for us. This was quite alarming and made us feel weird since we were told no one would be there. Other than that, the property grounds were really nice, and the geodesic dome was spacious and pretty.
