Come and completely relax in this comfortably rustic three-bedroom home perched on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean on the scenic, storied Mendocino Coast. Located on a quiet, gated road ideally situated West of famed California Highway One, this cozy retreat is perfect for a family vacation, a weekend with friends, or a romantic getaway.
A beautiful eight mile drive from the historic village of Mendocino, this is the perfect home base for wine tasting, beach combing, kayaking, hiking, biking or shopping. Simply relaxing is fine, too, and you will find the peaceful setting and sea air perfect for sipping a local wine on the expansive porch, soaking in the private hot tub, or reading that book you've been trying to find time for. Treat yourself to the many fine local restaurants, or stay in and create a gourmet meal of your own in the fully equipped kitchen.
Each of the three bedrooms feature brand-new luxury pillow-top Queen-size bedsets. There are two bathrooms; one featuring a vintage claw-foot tub perfect for a warm bath, and the other a double shower. All linens are of course provided, as well as an assortment of games, jigsaw puzzles and books to enjoy. Relax or be inspired; it's up to you!

Cute house with everything we needed for our stay! Very nice and peaceful location in the gated community. The only thing need to mention is that tap water had some residues ( probably iron as it had orange shade) but we are glad that house had several gallons of purified water from the grocery store so we could use it for drinking and cooking.

We had a lovely long stay here with some family and friends joining us for shorter spells. Everyone remarked on how comfortable and well equipped the house was, and we all fell in love with the views from the house and deck. The location is great, and you'll be relaxed in nothing flat!

Great Getaway near Mendocino

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this fantastic house. The views were incredible, and we really enjoyed the wrap around porch, hot tub, fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, and that it was so comfortable for our pup as well. Right off the highway but not noisy. Super easy quick communication with the owner too. Would definitely recommend, and we would for sure stay here again!

The house was wonderful. The best part was the spa and the cool ocean mist hit your face. Location was perfect. Right off the highway but you had your privacy. We will be booking again.

Wonderful spot as base camp for a long weekend girl's trip in Mendocino area. While it was foggy weekend, this home was a welcome, warm launch pad to linger over coffee and yoga in the morning, and come home to for dinner paired with fabulous local wine and hot tub soaks in the evenings. The kitchen was so well appointed we opted to make all our dinners and most of our picnic lunches at home. The beds, linens and couches were super comfy and we loved having the toasty cast iron stove to take off the chill. Easy access to so many fun experiences: wine tasting (thanks Stephen for the Navarro and Roederer recommendations!), sea cave kayaking, coastal bike ride, the glorious botanical garden, railbiking along Pudding Creek, woodsy redwood walks and puttering in Mendocino. And the Dahlia's! Glorious!Perfect long weekend.

Our best retreat

Once again a beautiful, restful, magical stay in a wonderful house. The location near the mouth of the Navarro river is perfect for our Irish Setter to play, and Mendocino town isn't far. The hot tub on the deck adds a very special treat.

Family vacation

Awesome house to stay at with family. Close to hiking trails and beaches and maybe 15 minutes from Fort Bragg. Host was awesome to deal with and a Calvin and Hobbes fan, so can't go wrong.

My wife and I have long enjoyed the Mendocino Coast and visited frequently as weekend get-aways. We were fortunate to meet many locals and eventually locate a home for sale that we fell in love with.

Our favorite feature of this vacation home is how utterly relaxing it is. Even when we visit with all intentions to accomplish work away from work, the relaxation gene kicks in unexpectedly, and all tensions or stress from our work-a-day life melt away.
