The Sitka Bungalow is a clean, newer, unique, craftsman style home designed and built by us! It is conveniently located in beautiful downtown Sitka.
Our Bungalow is a cozy two bedroom home with solid oak floors, in-floor heating, an open living room, a large kitchen, and a dining area. The feel of the space has a clean and classic style. You'll find everything you need to make your stay comfortable. It's the perfect Sitka getaway for a couple, family, or group of friends.
The space: There are two cozy bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with two twins. We also have a sofa bed in the living room that can sleep 2 people. We have a nice outdoor area with chairs and an open pit fire. You can do laundry in your own washer and dryer. There is a nice tub in the bathroom to soak in after your Sitka adventures. High speed internet is included.
Guest access: This is a second floor unit, with a spacious first floor entry. The first floor woodshop (with its own entrance opposite of your private entrance) is not accessible to guests. We occasionally use the shop for custom cabinet work between the hours of 9am-5:30pm. However, we're happy to stop if you find it disrupting in any way. We provide a phone number you can text in that event.
Other things to note: Our place is in a quiet downtown neighborhood. We respect our neighbors and want to keep them happy. We ask that you keep noise down, especially after 10pm. We cannot host guests that are planning to throw loud parties. Thank you for your understanding.

Our family of four adults had a fantastic stay at this unique property! The location was perfect for us, midway between the town center and the National Park, and close to a grocery for supplies. The town is easily walkable, just needed to catch a ride from the airport with our luggage. The space was well laid out and furnished, we all just plopped down on the couches and chairs like we lived there. Comfortable beds, nice bathroom, kitchen with lots of odds and ends in addition to the necessities (e.g. I borrowed a birthday candle for my wife’s celebratory pastry on our last morning). I appreciated the coffee setup and bag of ground coffee provided so I could enjoy my 2 cups before heading to town to get the fancier beverages for others. The owners were always available and very kind and have created a lovely spot to enjoy time together while visiting Sitka. We left a few sights unvisited so we have a reason to return and stay again in the future : )
Randy and Bridget’s bungalow is a cozy retreat just off the main road in downtown Sitka. Easy check in/check out, attentive hosts, and comfortable amenities.
Everything about this above garage bungalow is top-notch. We were delighted by the quality built-in cabinetry, the modern well-appointed kitchen, the cozy comfortable bedrooms with good mattresses and nice linens, and this apartment's overall functionality and spacious feeling. Our group of four adults had a wonderful time staying here.
Amazing place and incredibly accommodating owners!
We brought our family of four for a weekend exploring Sitka and we’re looking for a cute affordable place to stay and think we hit the jackpot with this place. Extremely clean, with high end modern amenities. Plenty of extra towels, condiments, and little extras that made the stay more comfortable. Right outside downtown so within easy walking distance of all the shops and restaurants. Will definitely be using them again in the future!!!
This was our first visit to Sitka so we weren't 100% sure it would be a good location for all we wanted to do and see. Rest assured, it could not have been a better central location for our trip! We were able to walk almost everywhere and the house was so clean and was exactly what we needed. This spot is beautifully finished and equipped with everything we needed to be comfortable for a week. I wouldn't want to stay anyplace else in Sitka!
This was our third stay in this property (obviously, we like it).
The property is very quiet... little outside noise, well-insulated, very nicely kept, and solidly built. The owners are next door, and easily contactable, and very respectful of your privacy.
Sitka is a small town, and most everything is within easy walking distance. Groceries are further than an easy walk, especially carrying groceries, but cabs are inexpensive... not an issue.
The kitchen is large and well equipped, continuous with a lounging and dining area... very nice for socializing while preparing meals. Well lit, and pleasant.
The place is heated with radiant floor heating, and there are no drafts. Its great.
Incredibly clean, convenient and comfortable! Walk to all the quaint downtown hot spots, the beach and some amazing trails. Well appointed with quality fixtures and furnishings. Friendly, but not imposing host. Excellent all around!
