Great little family cabin

This cabin met our needs for a private little spot for the night. It was fully furnished with anything/ everything you need. I was a bit let down that the cabin was part of a compound where there were other cabins that didn’t belong to the host and the area didn’t look like the photos online.. it was super quiet and a bit rustic but if you’re not looking for a five star motel, then it is a fun place to stay.

perfect for r and r

Visiting family and friends in Nova Scotia, for more than a month and while I truly enjoy their company, I needed a short 'me time'. This was perfect for a 2 day get away and I could have stayed longer, but was expected in the Annapolis Valley. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen; knowing the type of coffee maker ahead of time would have helped me choose my 'grind' better. Cosy living area with a view of the lake. Extremely quiet while I was there. Owners close by to respond to my questions. Would I return: yes!

Vacation Home Base

The cottage was even better than we expected from the listing! There was a lovely living room area with ample seating, a very functional kitchen, and a huge deck that wraps around two sides. It was quiet and peaceful, being on a private road/ private lake with most cottages owner-occupied, and no loud parties. We really appreciated having three bedrooms, so each of our sons could have private space if desired, when not sightseeing. We used the cottage as a base, to make day trips to Lunenberg, Brier Island for whale watching, Annapolis Royal, and Bedford (the latter to pick up the fourth member of our family). In between days of exploration, we spent days relaxing at the cottage. We didn't use the fire pit, because most of our rest days were rainy or foggy, but the cottage was well equipped with games and a jigsaw puzzle, so we enjoyed those days, too. The hosts were friendly and helpful when we had questions. We would definitely recommend this cottage to friends and family!
