Small town feel with great dining opportunities the house was in a perfect location walking to dinner. Great biking out the door. And the house was perfect.
This is a great property within easy walking distance of downtown Winters. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped. The two bedrooms are very comfortable. Highlight of the trip: sitting in the hot tub and watching the wild turkeys on the other side of Dry Creek. Our favorite restaurants are the Buckhorn for dinner and Putah Creek Cafe for breakfast (although they also serve excellent lunch and dinner). Steady Eddy's is a must for coffee in the morning. Don't forget to stop by the Winters Historical Museum for free cookies and excellent displays about early settlers and the now underwater town of Monticello. If you ask nicely, printer Charley Wallace will show you the antique presses that he still uses to create unique engraved wedding invitations. A great walk is the path along Putah Creek (start at the Community Center).
