Lots of room nice location! Upstairs very hot pet stains on carpet fridge had hair and food in it had to clean and wipe down before use as well as bathrooms could use a little upkeep with stuff ( hole in sofa, wall marks outlet covers) was a little shocked when entering the home
Lovely place to stay with beautiful views of farm land surrounding this big house that has everything you need for a vacation stay. We were attending a national dog show at the Robert’s Center and we were very happy to enjoy this property with our dogs. Host was very responsive when we couldn’t get the garage door shut one day. Highly recommend!
The house is lovely and very clean. Its about a 20 minute drive from the World Equestrian Center. So we had to coordinate our trips back and forth, but would stay there again.
This house was just as described. Plenty of room for 6 adults. Kitchen had all that was needed. Would have booked again in November but is not available.
My friends and I were competing at the AKC nationals which is high stress. This was a perfect place to come back to each night and recharge for the next day. Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds lots of room for the dogs to run even set up a small course to practice for the next day. We will definitely book this for any future competitions in the area.

The land itself was rural and quiet with corn field and woods surrounding. The setting was ideal but out from where we needed to be a bit too far. The upstairs area was clean, but we did not use it. The downstairs was filthy! The furniture was dusty and dirty, and the carpets were completely stained and smelled like a kennel. The shower in the master bath was disgusting and uncleaned from previous use. There was a razor cover and hair along with lint from the shedding towels. I washed the towels approximately four times and we were still covered in lint after our shower. I had to clean the shower before we could even use it the first time. There was plenty of cleaning products in the pantry that seemed unused from the filth in the house. The blades on the ceiling fans were lined with about a quarter inch line of dust and some of which flaked off and blew around when turned on. We had a mouse infestation while we were there and the owner did call in an exterminator the following week. Someone else used the dumpster that was on the property. We saw several different cars pull up and fill the dumpster with the contents in their cars. Not only was the inside filthy but the outside had green mold and plenty of cobwebs on the house and cobwebs around the lights. Basically the landscaping was nonexistent and there were dead plants around the parameter of the house. I would never stay here again. I have plenty of pictures with proof of the state of the house upon entry.
We stayed the week of Christmas a total of 8 days and the property owner was attentive to our needs. She was helpful and answered any questions we had. The house was clean and there was plenty to do. We enjoyed playing pool, games and just walking around the property. Loved that the house was like home away from home. We were able to cook home cooked meals and wash clothes. The house was big enough for everyone to spread out. Highly recommend if you like the county and not being in the city. Will stay again when we go back to visit.
The property and downstairs of the house we’re both very nice. The upstairs was uncomfortably hot our first day so we could not use it. The garage door opener’s or not there.

Nice, but needs a little TLC
Beautiful location with peaceful farmhouse views! That being said, the property could use a little TLC: it was noticeably dusty, dead bugs in upstairs bathroom and on windowsills, cobwebs in downstairs bathroom as well as in the bedrooms. Surfaces had visible layers of dust in the living room. Lack of communication from the host- two individuals arrived at the property unannounced (one carrying a firearm) seemingly to do maintenance on the property, but it was unnerving for us to see without being informed. Also, there were no checkout/ cleanup instructions. Overall, it was fine for what we needed but definitely could use a bit of love to make it better!
Three of my adult grandchildren and I enjoyed our stay at the Peaceful Farmhouse. And the rural views -- if you sketch be sure to bring paper with you -- the view from the large front porch is for sure the true rural American view!!! The home is a wonderful, large, farmhouse. It's older and not perfect but clean for the most part and comfortable. Two who slept upstairs noticed several spider webs and dust. The porch swing should be checked as it didn't seem real stable. The outdoor security lights are great -- coming back late one night from visiting family, was no big deal finding the house, we were reassured it would be lit up for us. Brooke answered any questions in a timely manner prior to our arrival. Enjoyed emailing with her. Also enjoyed meeting her in person during our stay, as well as her Mother and Father. I loved laughing and talking with Brooke's Dad! Overall a great place to stay!!

Needs Cleaning
My husband and I stayed for our anniversary weekend with our two dogs. When we arrived, the home had an odor of cigarette smoke. Going through the house and around the property, we found cigarette butts littered outside around the patio and the property, a cigarette butt in the couch, a dirty kitchen with sticky stuff all over the cabinets, oven door and floors, dirty surfaces with dust and cobwebs, both shower heads were disgusting and would not work properly until it was scrubbed. The upstairs shower wall had multiple streaks of some brown substance. The outside of the home is coated in mold and mildew and cobwebs. We left the home 7 hours before checkout because a smoke detector started chirping on our last night. There are so many old sensors throughout the house, we could not figure out which one was being activated to chirp. We tried to sleep through it but could not and since the sound took up the entire house and we couldn't find where it was coming from, we left in the middle of the night. This property definitely needs some work and LOTS of housekeeping. It is not welcoming for guests to see all of this nor is it safe that fire alarm batteries aren't changed when they're supposed to be. When I brought this up to the property manager she suggested that maybe I was the reason that the alarm was chirping. When I explained further about my experience at her property she stopped responding. I should have just went to a hotel and requested a refund.
