Formed largely from farmland, today’s Riverview Park is known for its dense woodlands and steep topography. The park’s extensive network of trails invites hikers, joggers, and the occasional horseback rider into the woods. The park is also home to the landmark Allegheny Observatory, a visitor’s center, a swimming pool and activities building, the natural beauty of the Mairdale watershed, and the popular two-mile Riverview Loop. Awesome place to stay. Clean and comfortable. Lisa was great. Easy access to public transportation downtown. We will be back again. Highly recommend this place.
We were in town for our daughter's birthday and the Fair in the Park, in Mellon Park. This location was convenient for all of our plans, plus close to the Strip District, which is one of our favorites places to visit and shop. This home was warm and inviting and just what we were looking for during our stay! Thank you for allowing us to stay.Kathy
A comfortable place to stay and a bit “off the beaten path” in an older neighborhood in the hills of Pittsburgh. We love the eclecticism of it all. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks for letting us stay.
Charming well appointed home a short drive to PNC park. Host is very accessible. Highly recommend.

Property had a great location she left she left snacks and filtered water for us which was great, off street parking was a plus. If we should find our way back to Pittsburgh we would definietly stay there again
Great old house, home away from home vibes. Clean and open space, great communication with us before and during our stay. Host is willing to look into things if she doesn't already have helpful insights!
I came a day early and Lisa actually picked me up and got me to a friend that had a bed I could have for the night. So sweet and helpful. The cottage was spotless and very comfortable. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Fun location with plenty to see/do within walking or short driving distance. Loved learning about and exploring the Riverview Park with our dog.

This was such a charming home away from home! Lisa was wonderful to communicate with and the accommodations were top notch!!! As cold as it got in the Burgh, the home was warm and comfy and I got to experience the splendor of the hills lol!!!! A
We had a wonderful stay at Lisa’s place! Loved the convenient location and how big the space was. When we first arrived we had a problem with the shower but Lisa was very quick to respond and got it fixed quickly. I very much appreciated all her friendliness. We look forward to staying again!
Overall great place to stay. Clean house. Very receptive host. Great proximity to a lot of sight seeing and things to do in Pittsburgh. Highly recommended.
We were in town for Picklesburgh with our dog and the home was everything we needed. It was safe, fenced in, and comfortable. Any makeup girlies, utilize the cabinet in the bathroom it will save you time getting ready. The stairs are steep but going up them a few times will get you used to them. Grateful there were enough towels and washcloths for our stay, we’ve not had that luck at many places we’ve stayed at. Highly recommend this place! Host was an excellent communicator and made sure we had everything we needed.
First off the Host was super helpful and nice. Answered any questions I had very promptly. The house was nice and comfortable. It was in a great location no more than 8-12 mins from anywhere we wanted to go see.
We had a wonderful stay at this home. While the home is older the interior was clean and very spacious. Lisa, the homeowner, was very friendly and available when we needed her. The home is conveniently located near many attractions on the North Shore. We would be happy to stay here again.

Why they chose this property
I have lived in the neighborhood for over 20 years and the views of the city are spectacular! The neighborhood is a quiet community and neighbors are very friendly. It is a very quiet neighborhood, with ample wildlife and is only about a 7 minute drive from all the cities amenities. (Depending on time of day, route taken and traffic). It is close to the North Shore stadiums, restaurants, museums, and fitness/biking trails.
I love walking the park and exploring the trails. The 259-acre Riverview Park is known for its dense woodlands and steep topography. It is nestled between Perrysville Avenue, Woods Run, and Marshall Avenue, park is known for its wooded trails and dramatically steep hillsides. In the summer you can enjoy the park's swimming pool, playground, ball field, shelters, summertime concerts and movies.
What makes this property unique
The house is a historic home and I wanted to keep the charm of the original design but incorporate some modern updates. The original lights add ambient light to the living room and I fell in love with the the warmth of the original fireplace tile design as soon as I saw it. The kitchen cupboards are spacious and I love the high ceilings. The backyard is spacious and the perfect place to relax in the summer. Up the street you will find a community park with a pickle ball court, jogging track, playground, basketball hoop, and a picnic area.
