Fireside is a resort style executive cottage located on Gull River in Norland (Kawartha Lakes) Ontario, sitting on just over 2 acres of luxury. This private executive residence sleeps 10 people, across four in-house bedrooms plus one bunkie.

From the moment you arrive, you know your stay with us will be top star rated. There are three in-house fireplaces, plus a large 10 seat outdoor fire-pit, 8 person outdoor hot tub, indoor Jacuzzi tub, outdoor wood burning pizza oven, 10 seat theatre and more!

Incredibly Cozy, Quiet Spot. Absolutely Spoiled

What an absolute delight! The place was even better than the photos, and it was truly a warm, comforting place. You can tell that Don put in a lot of thought to really deck out the place. He keeps the Fireside Resort especially clean, was actively available/helpful, had lots of goodies, and was quite easily, one of the best hosts we've experienced. Would highly recommend coming here!

Great cottage - lots of space & amenities

The cottage was even better than the photos. The host is amazing - he left so many extra treats for us. The space is very clean & has everything you will need and then some. The river was nice for swimming. I appreciated that tubes and kayaks were included! Lots of good space to hang inside and out. Nice beds. Well stocked kitchen. Thank you and we would love to come back.

A Wonderful Experience

It is hard to find something wonderful to say about the Fireside Resort that has not already been said in previous reviews. It truly is an amazing resort. I agree that the resort is even better in real life. It also didn’t take long for us to realize why so many positive things have been said about Don. He clearly loves what he is doing. He is the kind of guy that you just want to sit down and have a drink with. He has thought of so many extra things that made our stay even better than our already high expectations. We all had an amazing week. It truly was a wonderful experience. Everyone in our group is looking forward to returning next summer.
