About this property

Beautiful log cabin nestled in the Hiawatha National Forest located in The UP.

The 'Northern Exposure' lodge is a unique log cabin with logs hand scribed and shipped from British Columbia. White pine finishes off the interior of the cabin with yellow pine rustic furniture.
The loft has a sitting area to view the beautiful outdoors of the Upper Peninsula. The kitchen comes fully equipped with a sitting bar that is centered to enjoy the living room fireplace and picture windows.
The deck has a BBQ grill and sitting area with fire pit for those beautiful summer and fall day's to enjoy. There is also a fire pit that sits directly in front of the cabin.
The cabin is located in the heart of the Upper Peninsula's #1 summer recreational area. With Autrain River and Lake just walking distance from the cabin. Lake Superior is less then one mile down the road. There are numerous hiking trails in the area.

Amazing place nested in the wood

Our stay was wonderful, we enjoyed the log cabin so much. It was clean and easy to check in. Canoes and Kayak rentals are available right across the street. Au Train beach is very close too and delicious pasties are sold at the convenience store. We’ll definitely recommend that place!

Picture perfect! Everything I could ask for & more. Well stocked kitchen & enough linens for the entire stay. The wood stove was a selling feature for me, having a fire was the perfect touch to my entire stay. The property was beautiful. There were deer, squirrels & birds that came to visit! The host compliments it all. I wanted a place to stay & be left alone. He was there if needed him (which I never did) & left me alone to enjoy the cabin. The last thing I wanted was a nosey host, I appreciated this greatly! I would definitely recommend this place & I would love to stay here again. Thank you for an enjoyable & memorial stay. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!
