We took a winter weekend get-away. This cabin is centered between Eben Cave (a beautiful ice cave that takes some hiking to get to) and Valley Spur (great groomed cross-country ski trails) and Pictured Rock (where we went snow-shoeing). We came back to this nice, cozy, warm cabin each night for dinner. It was so nice to sit by the fireplace- so nice and relaxing. The bed was super comfortable too. It was fun to see all the deer out back of the cabin. We would recommend!
This little cabin was located close to many places we wanted to visit. Just a short walk to AuTrain lake and a short drive to Lake Superior, to 3 nice scenic turnouts with access to the beach.
AuTrain falls was beautiful and only a few miles away. We sleep well in a comfortable bed with the quiet of the area. About 15 minutes to Picture Rock tours. This was a great place to rent. Not fancy but fun and comfortable.
Nice and clean. Ample parking with turn around ability for large trailer. 1/4 mile from snowmobile trails. Rode 40miles+ daily. Also only a short drive to a larger town (Munising or Marquette).
The cabin was very clean and exactly what you see in the pictures. The property managers (Erin and Jake) were very helpful and knowledge on what to do and where to go! We will definitely be back.
So much to do in the UP if you are a nature lover!♥️
This little house had all we needed for our long weekend get-away. If you are looking for fancy, this isn’t it, but it seems pretty consistent to the other properties in the area. It was clean and well stocked; had more than enough towels for the 3 of us. Usually you have to beg for towels and they provided about 10 or so!
There is so much to do and see in this area that we honestly didn’t spend much time in the house. Never turned on the TV! Did use the WiFi once and seemed to work fine.
The only improvement that I can recommend would be remodeling the bathroom and putting in a bigger shower. I didn’t enjoy taking a shower in the tiny stall. There was ample space there just not utilized very well.
Also, it would be nice if they would post written directions to the “resort”. I arrived after dark and it was raining, so visibility was horrible, my GPS took me to the Northwoods Kayak rental place a mile down the road. If my friends hadn’t arrived earlier and already found the place, I don’t think I would have found it!
A group of us stayed here for Labor Day weekend. Being our first time in the UP we were amazed at all of the beauty! The cabin was clean & cozy. Can’t ask for much more. Thanks for everything! I’m sure we will be back. :)
Very cute and clean cabin. Beds were comfy and smelled fresh. A great location just 15 minutes down the road from Munising and Pictured Rocks. Be advised the internet is VERY slow. We were there to see Pictures Rocks and weren’t inside much so it didn’t bother us but some may care more than others. A lip added to the shower would be great. Otherwise the shower curtain blows outside the unit when the water is running and gets the floor wet. Even with the weighted curtain it didn’t want to stay inside. Also be prepared for bugs. We tried to have a campfire but could not wait for it to burn all the way down before we went inside (we put dirt on it). Even with massive amounts of bug spray they are relentless! The owner was extremely nice and pleasant when we called on the way. The property is definitely somewhere we would stay again and would recommend to anyone!
This was a great cabin with all the amenities. We had four people and it was big enough to accommodate all of us. It also had enough outlets for all of our things that needed electricity. The fireplace was awesome, and the little space heaters for the bedrooms were awesome.
The only issue we had was because of construction on the premises the parking was not that great. This is why it's a four star and not five star. Someone from another cabin was parked and blocked the entrance to our porch. I did email the owners who said they would take care of it, but the car was there the entire length of our stay. This probably won't be a problem when construction is done.
Au Train is a great place because it's right in the middle of so many fatastic day trips!!!

Very clean and very comfortable beds.
The cabin was spotless and the beds were super comfortable. The area was beautiful. We took the Pictured Rocks boat tour as well as the Glass Bottom Boat Shipwreck Tour (both in Munising). They were both a lot of fun.

Very friendly
Erin and Jacob were both very friendly. The cabin was a perfect fit for us. Right off the snowmobile trail and easy access. They had all the linens and essentials for cooking. Cable tv and WiFi were nice! I will be staying there again!
