Other things to note: Historic Hilton Village was built for shipyard workers during World War I to help build ships. The homes situated within historic Hilton Village were built between 1918 to 1920 and the majority still have many original features including hardwood floors, clawfoot tubs (mine was removed before I bought it), original windows and slate roofs. When opening and closing doors and windows and coming and going please remember the age of the home.

Cute house, cute neighborhood with lots of little shops and restaurants nearby. Reasonable price for comfortable accommodations during our short, overnight trip with 3 kids.
A lovely and well kept home to have while visiting family. Everything needed for extended stay we had available. The area offered so many things to do, it was truly enjoyable.
The house was a perfect size for our family of 6. It has a lot of character and is tastefully decorated. It is in a quiet and safe neighborhood. It was also a perfect location to run the Newport News marathon and have our family watch us run. We enjoyed our short stay.
The family and I came back for more sports and loved our stay once again. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, is fully outfitted with everything needed for a stay. We will be back, and will look to stay here again.
Great stay, we will be back. We came down for a sports weekend and couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. The hostess was responsive and made accommodated our changing schedule with no issue. The house was clean, perfectly located, and outfitted with everything one (or a few) would need for a short or longer duration stay. We will look to stay here again in the near future.
We had a fabulous stay at the Pearl in Hilton Village. Although, we wished we had more time to explore the beautiful neighborhood, our time at the house was excellent. We had a small issue come up and Dana was very quick to respond and help us out. We look forward to a return visit.
Overall, the place needed. All complaints we had were was not well lite on the side of the house where you entered. Stairs to the second floor are tricky to someone who has a disability.
Good location. Easy to access. Charming bright. Downstairs bathroom is very tight and so is the winding staircase to the second floor. May not be a good choice for those with mobility issues.
The house will remind you of the times you visited your grandparents. You will definitely feel you have travelled back into time in this well-appointed house.
Dana was also amazing. We had a little hiccup with our reservation and Dana quickly responded with a couple of options to make sure our stay went on without a hitch.

Thank you for being such a kind and gracious guest, Kisha!
This place was PERFECT for our stay. A nice morning walk to the shops just blocks away was amazing (don't miss the bakery and take the coupon the property owner leaves for you). Also don't miss the ice cream shop!
We were literally moments drive away from the family we were in town to visit and all of the necessities for a week long stay. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking in. The property has character and history. Take note of the instructions on the fridge if you have any questions. Fantastic stay!!
Everything went very well from booking to check out. The home is very nice and in a great location. The only concern we had is when we first arrived, the yard and landscaping was in need of attention. The grass was quite high, probably at least a couple weeks without mowing. But, after walking inside, we realized everything would be fine. I would definitely stay again if needed.
Soon as we arrived they put us out which was very much unfair and we aren’t from here
I don’t appreciate spending all that money to stay somewhere I wasn’t welcomed at and to add insult to injury me and my kids were put out soon as we arrived and she didn’t even give me a refund that’s super crazy to me there’s no way and I didn’t even stay at her home never again though I’ll never in life book with her

I’m not sure why this review is even allowed. This was a fraudulent booking claiming to be a mom of 3 young kids and instead it was a party of 10 pot smoking hoodlums who I had to call the cops on since they wouldn’t leave when I asked them to. As soon as I called the police they scattered like roaches. So yes I did kick them out and will ask anyone in the future who books fraudulently to leave as well.
