‼DO NOT STAY HERE‼ I booked for 3 nights, I got there first night at around 7 pm and I went into the cupboard where the plates/cups were & there was a cockroach smashed into the cupboard and one crawling more in the drawer & some dead in the fridge, walls were disgusting and cockroach room all over the place. I decided to leave at latest 9:30pm I asked if they had a bug problem he said yes and then later said I didn’t know we had a bug problem. Just all around room especially for a disgusting house. I asked for a refund because at the max I was there for 3 hours and I got half my money back.

It was an okay place
The restrooms were dirty, they had gnats all over the place one of the showers knobs kept coming off. The master bedroom was very uncomfortable and the bedding was not clean. The kitchen and living room were clean and shiny. The grounds were not kept up.

wasn’t the cleanest place we’ve booked.
when we arrived we noticed a smell coming from the fridge, it smelt awful and there was stink bugs laying all around the house, the bathroom shower rod was broken and about to fall down and the bed sheets on the foldout couch were dirty and clearly hadn’t been changed in a good while.
Plenty of space to spread out, perfect for families. Nice updates on the inside, nice covered outdoor deck. Easy access to Chapman Hwy and a few minutes from Smokies and 35 mins to Knoxville. Great location.
Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing. The house was not clean when we arrived—it smelled musty, and there were visible signs of dirt and grime. The bathroom sink didn’t work, and there were no cleaning supplies provided. There also weren’t any sheets or blankets for the pull-out couch in the living room, which ended up not mattering much because it was filthy and had dead bugs on and around it.Several amenities didn’t work, including the TVs outside and in the bedrooms. The yard was also a mess—completely unkempt with trash scattered around, which made the outdoor space unusable and uninviting. There were no clear instructions left in the home about what to do before checkout, so I messaged the host the night before we were scheduled to leave to ask about housekeeping expectations. The next morning, the electricity went out unexpectedly while we were cleaning and packing up, which added a lot of unnecessary stress to our departure. We did eventually get a response, but it came about an hour and a half after we had already left. We didn’t expect luxury accommodations with our last-minute planning for a quick end-of-summer trip, but we did expect cleanliness, functionality, and some basic communication. Unfortunately, this stay did not meet those expectations, and we would not return.
We had everything we could possibly want in a short stay. Property manager was very quick to respond and overall pleasant and very patient. My kids absolutely adored the place. The commute to everything we wanted to do was within distance and the view was amazing.
This is truly the worst home my family has ever stayed in. It is not as pictured at all, there were roaches and ants, it was not clean there was mold in the jetted tub and excessive trash build up outside around the home- along with a shed FULL of trash bags. You can’t get ahold of the host, the security lights outside do not work and there were just random people dropped off in the driveway at 11 pm lurking around our vehicles. Book elsewhere!!!!!!!!!!

Eh
It was cheap and comfortable, and the house itself was just fine. However, several bugs of various kinds, including roaches, welcomed us throughout our stay. Various minor issues, like a shower with one temperature (scalding hot), were present. Also, we were not informed before arriving that the house is a split-level, with others renting out the floor below.
There are so many great things to say about this beautiful home: The location is perfect for vacationers wanting to go between Pigeon Forge/Sevierville and Gatlinburg with less than a 30 min drive either way. The amenities were amazing: The house was clean and cozy, we appreciated that the two adult sized beds were different firmnesses so that you had the option of a harder or softer bed, the couches were incredibly comfortable, and the jetted tub was beyond fantastic after a long day out. We were pleasantly surprised to find fully stocked soaps, shampoos, conditioners, and I was thankful to find a few feminine products as well in a pinch. Lastly but most importantly, the customer service was above and beyond- we accidentally locked ourselves out and the owners responded in *minuets* with a solution even though it was late at night. The owners have a rental business so cars come and go from the location but it never bothered us at all during our stay and never blocked the drive way. We will be returning next year!
I secured this VRBO April 25,2024. I got a text message from the host at 8pm the NIGHT BEFORE our check-in date telling me the property was double booked. He sent me a Vrbo link to this other property. He said he would give it to us at 50% off. It said 2BR 1BA and could sleep six. I told him it was going to be myself, my fiance, and our mothers since we were touring wedding venues. We arrived at the location and we were in a dingy basement. And it smelled like mold & mildew. There was only 1 bedroom, the 2nd one was locked. There were two beds out in the living room just by the pool table. When I asked why the 2 br was locked he said it was under renovation-but that was NOWHERE said in the listing. I also told him the “kitchen sink” didn’t have a working sink. When I messaged him about this he told me the 2nd br was being renovated and that he knew the kitchen sink didn’t work “but there’s a SPIGOT OUTSIDE you can use” and told me that I didn’t read the listing. I then sent screenshots of the listing and his response was “shoot I forgot to update the VRBO listinG” but there’s complaints from 2022 about the 2nd bedroom not being open and the sink broken.
That basement should NOT be rented out as a second rental property. The entire house should be rented. Because to consider that a suitable rental property is a joke.
He didn’t seem to care at all that he 1) double booked the property 2) that that property is absolutely horrid
This is not a single unit listing. There are actually 2 units on this property. A basement level and upper level unit.
I did not receive clear check in or check out instructions. When my daughter arrived to the property she found occupants in the unit and the entry code provided did not work. After messaging and calling the contact for the property we contacted VRBO who attempted to assist us, but were unable to reach the party either.
The property contact finally called back but still gave me inaccurate information telling us to look for a red door, but that is to the lower unit.
Once we determined there were 2 units we figured out we were the upstairs unit.
The photos, reviews and descriptions for this property we excellent, but we had several issues.
The unit was not clean. All the ceiling fans were coated in dirt and dust. There was urine on the toilet seat in the shared bath. There was plywood separating from the base counter top on the kitchen island exposing sharp trim nails (not ideal for a year old.) The bedrooms didnt smell very good either. In addition to all of these issues there is a stairway connecting the two units and no way to secure the door from our unit. The parties below also had pets that barked and were disruptive to our pets.
The location of the property is fine and easy to get to, but I would not stay here again. The listing does not clearly state that it is a multi unit property and we thought we were getting a single occupied unit.

Okay stay, but wont stay again
I booked later than i normally would and inventory was low. This property was a good location and a better price point. However, the cleanliness left a lot to be desired - poop on the back porch, dirty floors, sheets just folded on the bed, crumbs in the couch, toenails from previous guests (nothing horrible, but not clean). Then i either missed it or it didnt say that this is a shared building. This unit is the whole top floor but another guest was downstairs and i felt horrible that we made noise. They had a small child, we had a lab dog! Then safety was a concern. There is a red car parked outside with a window missing and we saw a person a few times on the back porch at night.
Lastly, communication. I booked and recieved confirmation. But when i still hadnt recieved "access" information i grew concerned, i messaged the owner and got a your booking is confirmed, here is your access code. When we arrived the door downstairs front had a keypad and a welcome sign. I went to it and enter the code to no avail. I tried again, nope. Doubled checked code. Still didnt work. Then it "locked out the system". I messaged owner and waited 30 mins. No response. I called the number and left a voice message. No reply. I waited some more. I had checked all other doors and none had key pads. I asked my dad to double check. The screen door on the patio was locked but my dad reach around the railing and unlocked it and notice the door on the porch (out of view) was our way in.
Cons Didn’t realize that the house was split into two levels. The upstate’s and down stares that are rented out individually with an unlocked door between the two. The larger bed frame was broken, not the best material. But we didn’t need to use it anyways. Water faucet outside was leaking and trash filled a shed around back. Driveway was washed out a mix of gravel and a pavement ProsHeating and cooling works greatRooms/ kitchen/ living room/ dinning room all cleanLarge bathroom was a bit dusty up high, but over all a nice bathroom. Being pet friendly was nice
