About the host
Hosted by Allison Lytton
Hi, I'm Allison! Born and raised in Maine, life brought me to Missouri, North Carolina and eventually back home to Maine. Working in the field of education, I was blessed to become a first-time homeowner when I purchased my childhood home, Sandy Ridge, from my parents. I am the proud mom of two amazing (and busy) kiddos. We love traveling and exploring other places and cultures as well as sharing our little slice of heaven with family, friends and guest.
Why they chose this property
Sandy Ridge was built from the hundred+ foot pines that grow on the property in 1981. My father, a former lumberjack and his parents built the cottage from the ground up. Over the years, family, friends and guest have enjoyed the relaxation and peace that the property offers. The spring fed pond is said to contain healing waters. The abundance of wildlife that we share the property with provides daily entertainment, from chipmunks to deer and bull frogs to painted turtles. A night around the campfire provides an opportunity to look up at the billions of stars that decorate the unpolluted night sky are always met with reflection and awe.
Come visit Sandy Ridge and bask in nature with the convenience of shopping, dining and entertainment just moments away.
What makes this property unique
Sandy Ridge is located on a private one-lane, dirt, camp road with views of a beautiful brook to the west and the pond to the east. Multiple private guest water access points located within a few hundred feet of the cottage. We live within 30 minutes and are readily available via the app, text or phone call to ensure a 5-star experience!
