This tired little cottage needed some TLC. We bring it to you and your family in fully renovated condition. Two bedrooms with extra office/sunroom for additional guests. A stone’s throw from Cornfield Point Association and rocky beach.

Boat ramp ocean access available to guests. Home has adequate driveway parking for trailer.

Use of Cornfield Point Association clubhouse yard, tennis court, basketball court, included for guests, and private association beach, of course!

We had a wonderful stay at Tranquility Beach House! Ryan and Meg have thought of everything you would need for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. The bikes were so nice to have to make the 5 minute walk to the beach just a 2 minute ride. The house has been beautifully renovated, the neighborhood is quiet, the neighbors are so friendly and the owners are delightful and friendly to work with. 10/10!

Relaxing stay at Cornfield Point Beach Community

Well appointed home steps from the beach. My husband and I visited with our 18yo daughter and her friend. We were looking for a vacation spot near our eldest daughter’s summer internship. Old Saybrook was the perfect location. Ryan and Megan have outdone themselves with a beautifully renovated, meticulously clean home. They have thought of every detail and thing you could possibly need for a relaxing visit. We hope to return again soon!

A beautiful gem near the water!

This cozy little cottage was so charming. Like stepping into a beautiful piece of sea glass. Well appointed with everything you would need in the kitchen and loved the furnishings. Some rentals are nice but this one was luxurious. Soft and comfy bedding and towels. They spared no expense for a rental. Looks like it was newly remodeled. Didn’t want to leave. I’ll be back when the summer hits and the weather is warmer because it’s just a few minutes walk to the water. Thank you for sharing your beautiful gem of a cabin.

Well Appointed

A hidden gem on the Connecticut shore, Cornfield Point is the ideal location for a laid-back family vacation! Two beaches within the association keep everyone entertained. The quiet neighborhood is perfect for a leisurely family walk, a morning jog, or an evening run. We have stayed in several homes in the area over the last 15 years and this one rates at the top. Everything you would need is available, if you like to cook at home the kitchen is perfect, and you also have a beautiful deck with grill, table, and fire pit for roasting marshmallows. A recent remodel has hit every detail with comfortable furnishings, the beds are comfortable with cozy linens. The living room is perfect for chatting over a glass of wine or watching a movie with the kids. Ryan and Megan are great hosts remaining in contact and ensuring your stay is everything you wish for. Don't miss the opportunity for a perfectly relaxing vacation!

This neighborhood was the childhood home of your host, Megan, and adopted home of her husband, Ryan. Our ownership was the product of fate and destiny. We’re thrilled to share this special place with you and your family and hope you fall in love with the beach and come back year after year.

Why they chose this property

This house was a fixer upper. The original owner was wise to acquire two lots in this highly desirable beach community. The home was built in 1960 and was purchased by its next owner in 1988. With its good bones, and our motivation to bring back the charm, we embarked on a project to remake it with modern conveniences and inviting comfort.
With the double lot, this home has a huge backyard great for a small family gathering, outdoor dinner, games, and a place to unwind after a day at the beach.

What makes this property unique

The house is situated strategically close to both rocky beach and the sandy beach maintained in pristine condition by Cornfield Point Beach Association. The beaches are private. There is no public parking, so they are for the exclusive use of Cornfield Point residents and guests.
We supply beach chairs and towels, so you don’t need to bring anything but the right attitude. And when you get back, rinse off with the outdoor shower, and grill up some great food from Walt’s deli, kick back and finish your beach day with a cold beer or glass of wine or fix your favorite cocktail.
For our working guests, we’ve set up a desk and dual screens (Dell USB dock driver will need to be downloaded) and AirPrint printer.
For movie night or binge-watching, the family room and back bedroom TVs are set up for your streaming login, but you’re at the beach, so don’t miss a moment of time on the water.
We’ve fully remodeled the kitchen, but cleverly extended the countertop as a dining table, to keep the family gathered close together at mealtimes.
