The Cabin at House Mountain exceeded all of our expectations. The property is quiet, comfortable and absolutely beautiful. The hosts are incredible. We highly recommend it for anyone visiting the Knoxville area.
Came up for a two day fishing tournament in Jefferson City. Fantastic place to stay. Very roomy and perfectly laid out for a one bedroom one bath in law suite style place.
The house was perfect for us to unwind in and relax. It had everything you could ever need during a stay. Very updated, clean, and private home. We will definitely be back!
It was a beautiful place with wonderful surroundings. Enjoyed the porch in the evenings, very peaceful. Had everything we needed. Very clean and would recommend to others.
This is a for sure stay if in the area including the need to go to The University of Tennessee. Easy to get to Knoxville and Dollywood too.The cabin itself is absolutely perfect. Clean and everything you need is there. Its location is extremely peaceful. We will be staying again….
It's a very quiet area which makes if very relaxing. There were some basic food items you might need in the kitchen such as condiments and oil for cooking. Knoxville was approximately 10 to 15 minutes away from the Cabin. With lots of options for shopping. The cabin had laundry soap and bounce sheets which was really nice. The host was very nice & helpful.
Loved it here! Beautiful property with a well-appointed, modern and charming cabin. Great location for visiting family and exploring Knoxville. Birds, ponds and House Mountain view make this a lovely place to spend relaxing time outside. Nearby golf, consignment shopping, BBQ, and services.
Hosts are very welcoming. Cabin is cleanest VRBO in which we’ve ever stayed. We would stay here again. Cabin has all essentials needed for an extended stay.

About the host
Hosted by Cheri McAdow
We moved to Tennessee from Texas in 2019 and built our house on this beautiful property. We also built the cabin to accommodate our out of state family when they visit and to help pay for the upkeep of the beautiful property.
Why they chose this property
This is an amazing property with a spacious one bedroom cabin. The views are really beautiful. It is located central to the many area lakes, downtown Knoxville, Dollywood, Gatlinburg, Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Sevierville! All are within a 1 hour drive. However, we are in a rural setting with only a handful of other homes nearby. Cattle and vegetable farms are nearby. Its a really peaceful setting.
What makes this property unique
Bring your fishing pole and catch a bass in one of our ponds! Drive 10 minutes to the other side of House Mountain, the highest point in Knox County and hike to the top (about 2.5 hour hike to the top) for a very special view of Corryton.
