This vacation home had something for everyone. The Bote raft was a big hit for young and old. Amanda was fast on answering all our questions. Another memory family vacation.
Awesome place - loved the dock and firepit, great outdoor areas. Only two rolls of TP for a 4-day stay, but I am sure that was a small oversight and everything else was fantastic. Great value, great surrounds.
This house was an absolute gem. Wonderful view, spacious back porch with patio set, and a kitchen that is fully stocked with appliances. We would definitely go back!
This house had a lot to offer. We actually spent 2 days doing kayaking, fishing, playing games and cooking at the house.
Communication with the owners was great. I loved the stay and the kids keep asking if we can go back!
Loved the accommodations and lake!! We brought our own pontoon and launched it from the public access across from the house. Easy in, easy out. Used the fire pit a couple of times. Loved the fire and not having to pay extra for the firewood. We’ve had to do that at other places we’ve stayed. Loved the house and layout. Plenty of space for everyone (8 adults, 1 infant). Easy access to neighboring towns. Went to Charlevoix one day (25min drive) and got pizza from BC pizza in town. Would stay here again!

Thank you for sharing your photos!! We're so glad it was so enjoyed.
Amazing stay had everything and more that it stated. Pleasantly surprised to find the yard was enormous and allowed the teens to play hours of yard games and some extremely intense spike ball!
We had a great time and everything worked out perfectly. A group of 40 ish year old guys for a bachelor party and couldn’t have been better. The big yard and lake were great. Lots of beds for everyone and plenty of room. Great place.
We enjoyed all aspects of the house and was centrally located to other major cities like Petoskey. The only downside was that the lake was not swimmable.
Loved the house and lake access. Centrally located for Torch lake, Charlevoix.
Only issue no AC😀

Thank you for your review, Howard. We are so glad you enjoyed the cottage. Yes, lack of AC is a definite issue. We are working toward this resolve. Not as easy as throwing in a window unit with those crank windows. If you choose to stay with us next year, it will all be resolved!
Great property with large yard that leads to lake. Plenty of water toys! House is very accommodating, other than the lack of any air conditioning. Overall, awesome place.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are glad you enjoyed the cottage. Great news, we are installing an air conditioner in the upstairs dormer! Next stay, you'll be nice and cool.
The house was simple but clean. The upstairs stayed nice and cool. Kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking appliances. Gas grill worked great. Fire pit was well stocked with wood. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Boats were all in working order and plenty of life jackets and fishing gear. The kids loved the floating station. Everything was clean. The location was great! We loved the view and being in the water. Star gazing was incredible. House and site was as advetized. Amanda was so kind and accommodating. We would book again.
We had a small group of guys together for a bachelor party. We all wanted something simple and the ability to go fishing. This place provides all of that. Local dining and drinking were all in close proximity. 10/10 would book this place again.
Our vacation was one to be remembered. The house sits out away from everything which brings on peaceful nights. Although it’s away from everything, it’s a quick commute to most attractions that our family wanted to see. The only downsides in my opinion would be the house seemed to have a hard time staying cool, especially in the upstairs loft area and the neighbor having some dogs that didn’t appreciate us being there. Overall, my family had a wonderful time during our stay!

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. So glad your family enjoyed the stay. Great news, we've added a privacy fence since your stay. (We had to wait until we had a guest free day.) As well, we are putting an air conditioning unit in the upstairs dormer. We hope you choose to stay with us again!
We stayed for 7 nights. We had two families of 4 stay for a total of 8 people. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably and live. The lake view is beautiful. We did enjoy several fires in the provided fire pit and made s’mores! The owner made sure that we had as much firewood as we needed. He also gave us awesome recommendations for a breathtaking sunset view and restaurant. Overall our vacation was very relaxing and enjoyable. Thank you for everything!
Had a great time with family and friends! There were four adults and six children with plenty of room to accommodate all of us. We loved that we were able to park our jet ski trailers in the backyard and leave the skis in the water. We also loved how there were plenty of water activities provided! Plenty of fishing rods, chairs, rafts, etc. Plus firewood! The house was adorable and clean upon arrival. Host was extremely responsive and friendly. We would love to come back! Thanks again!
This place blew us away. From all the water vehicles (john boat, canoe, kayaks (2 person and 1 person). A shed filled with life jackets, floats, and everything else you could possibly need to enjoy the lake. Great gas gill and all the tools we needed to cook and plate everything up. Very well stocked kitchen with tons of spices. Would highly recommend this place! The appliances are a little dated but it is what you would expect with a lake house. We will be back!
Nice space for large group. The water front was great with the very warm weather. No issues except in the back bathroom shower. Shower faucet in very bad shape- very difficult to use, falling apart. More glasses would be helpful
Our family of 11 enjoyed our stay and appreciated several aspects of the home. The easy access to the lake, ample sleeping accommodations, onsite laundry, and convenient amenities like the air fryer made our visit comfortable. We especially enjoyed gathering around the large dining table for family meals and game nights, and the TVs with streaming options were a nice touch. The owner was very responsive to any concerns or questions we had. The wifi worked extremely well for working a bit while there. Cell service was hit and miss and messages would sporadically go through. That said, while the home wasn’t dirty, it could benefit from a deep cleaning and some modern updates. The upstairs bedrooms have air conditioning, which was appreciated, but the rest of the home did get quite warm during hot days—though plenty of fans were provided.Overall, it was a pleasant and fun stay with a lot of potential, especially for larger families or groups.
The lake was lovely, and fairly quiet. Sunsets were beautiful. The extra large water float was a big hit! 8 of us spent a couple of hours on it, each day. Surprisingly, the two small bathrooms worked out fine, for the 10 of us.The cottage was clean, but not in good enough condition to warrant the price, we paid. We knew the furniture was older, from the photos. What we didn’t expect, was a cottage that nothing had been done to it for close to fifty years. To summarize, the cottage worked out fine for the 10 of us, but a myriad of small things added up. Again we expected better, for the money. It felt as if someone had lived there, forever, and when they moved out it was put on VRBO, with everything left as it was. It is a nice cottage. If attention to details are taken care of, it will be a great rental.
