We are a family of avid Pacific Northwest adventurers who absolutely love exploring the Mt. Hood National Forest! As locals, we spend our spring and summer mountain biking at Sandy Ridge, cycling, hiking local trails, and paddle-boarding on the nearby alpine lakes. When winter arrives, you can find us skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing at Timberline, SkiBowl, and Mt. Hood Meadows. We want your stay at the Twinberry Loop Mountain Chalet to be unforgettable. Whether you are looking for the best family-friendly hiking trails, hidden paddle-boarding spots, or current Mt Hood ski conditions, please reach out to us! We love sharing our favorite insider travel tips and local recommendations to help you experience the very best of Mt. Hood.

Why they chose this property

The Perfect Central Location & Peaceful Mountain Vibe
What we love most about the Twinberry Loop Mountain Chalet is its unbeatable location just off Hwy 26. Tucked away under a quiet canopy of trees, you enjoy total privacy while being within walking distance or a quick bike ride to local restaurants, bars, groceries, and shops.

Here is why our Mt Hood cabin rental is the ultimate base camp for your getaway:
Car-Free Mountain Access: Skip the mountain traffic! We are located close to the Mt. Hood Express (Sandy Shuttle) to easily catch a ride up to Timberline for skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and mountain biking.

Golf & Spa Relaxation: Walk right over to the neighboring Mt Hood Oregon Resort to play the famous "Three Nines" 27-hole golf course, or book a relaxing massage and facial at the full-service day spa.

Day Trips Made Easy: Centrally located for regional exploring, we are just one hour from downtown Portland and one hour from the stunning fruit loops and windsurfing in Hood River and the Columbia River Gorge.

Nature at Your Doorstep: After a thrilling day on the mountain, nothing beats sitting out on our private back deck. Nestled under a peaceful grove of trees, it is the perfect spot to unwind, listen to the wild birds singing, and watch the local deer stroll quietly through the yard.

What makes this property unique

What Makes the Twinberry Loop Mt Chalet Truly Special:
Unlike standard rustic mountain cabins that can feel cold, dark and cramped, our chalet blends authentic Pacific Northwest character with modern, sun-drenched space. The architectural centerpiece is our stunning, vaulted living room outdoor views of Huckleberry Mountain and natural light filled space.

What completely sets us apart on Mt. Hood, however, is the seamless indoor-outdoor lifestyle. We feature a rare, fully fenced backyard sanctuary nestled under a towering canopy of trees—allowing your kids and dog to roam safely and freely while you watch grazing deer and wild birds from the outdoor entertainment deck.

Designed with group dynamics in mind, the clever layout offers a private main-floor master retreat for adults, while the expansive upstairs provides a dedicated secondary lounge and "kids' zone" for games and movie nights. From the cozy warmth of our crackling fireplace to the convenience of walking to local village bistros, our home offers the rare combination of total forest serenity and effortless mountain convenience.
