About this property
Experience Hannibal, MO from this historic home built in 1844
Wake up and take your coffee out to relax on the same veranda that Molly Brown (the “Unsinkable”) enjoyed when visiting her sister while watching the mighty Mississippi roll by. Built in 1844 by the first Judge in the territory, , Molly was headed to this house when the Titanic sank. Enjoy the original hardwood floors in the dining room, marked by embers of fires used to cook countless family meals under the hearth. Walk to all the downtown attractions, nightlife and festivals.
I am available from 8 am through around 9 pm 7 days a week. I do my best to respond within minutes. Occasionally, it takes longer.
While the downtown area is within walking distance of the home, the home sits uphill from the shops. Walking downtown is easy enough, but you might regret the decision while going uphill on the return trip. :-)
The entire property is for your use.
This historic home includes 2 bedrooms upstairs, one in the basement and a pull-out couch in the living room. The couch is the only bed on the main floor. There is a full kitchen with basic tools and supplies and a dining room. One full bath including a tub/shower upstairs and one half bath on the main level. You will love the outdoor spaces - two covered porches with loveseats and a table and chair set for dining. The home is only a few blocks up the hill from downtown - an easy walk unless you have health or mobility issues. Downtown has lots of parking!
Enjoy the original hardwood floors in the dining room, marked by embers of fires used to cook countless family meals above the hearth. Walk to all the downtown attractions, nightlife, and festivals. You are close enough to hear the calliope music from the Mark Twain Riverboat! Not a history buff? Enjoy the simplicity of old, coupled with wholly refreshed modern conveniences - ready for extended stays if you are in town for longer periods – a weekend, a month, or more!
