This special place is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. It feels like midtown/downtown living here.
Private upstairs house, no need to share space with anyone. Plenty of parking in a private Aly with the main roads nearby. Limited traffic and plenty of things to do close by. The bus stop is walking distance and the property is minutes from midtown. There are also several parks nearby.

Absolutely loved my time at this rental. The place was clean and easy to find. I was very comfortable there and appreciative of the lovely shower. Parking was a little weird, but not bad whatsoever

Amazing host, loud neighbors
The property was suitable for our week long stay. It was close to where we needed to spend a lot of time training
We enjoyed our stay at this apartment during our visit in Sacramento. Everything was clean and well kept especially since it was fairly new. Plus good quality beddings, overall ambiance, and great water pressure for the shower.
We loved the queen sized bed but it was a bit inconvenient to get in and out due to the size of the bedroom.
The location was difficult to find, parking in the alley was not convenient and backing out was an obstacle course. Unhoused people were living near the alleyway and the Main Street.

Cozy and clean
Cozy, aka small but clean. The location was easy to get to, but nieghborhood seemed on the fringe of sketchy. The nieghbors guard dogs made me feel safe. There was a homeless man camped at the alley enterance the first two days. I appreciated the washer and dryer. The only way to make coffee was a Keurig.
The 1 pot and pan were scorched and scratched teflon and in need of replacement. No cutting board. Other than those small improvements very common to vrbos we enjoyed our stay.

Smelled like cigarettes
The place smelled like cigarettes, could not stay, the online images were definitely photoshopped! because the area did not look like the pictures
This place had everything I needed to live and work for two weeks. Shahid was a great host, he even brought me an office chair so I could work comfortably.
The place is small, but the pictures are accurate, so there won't be any surprises.
Some other reviews complained about the neighborhood, but I thought it was perfect. It was very convenient to get anywhere in the city by car, and all amenities could be reached within a few minutes by car. It's true there are homeless people around, but I think that's true of any city center. I didn't feel unsafe. I went for walks every day, my car was parked in the alley for two weeks, and I didn't have any issues.
The one thing I would comment on is cleanliness. The shower had a musty smell, and the floors were dirty (my socks were turning black after walking around the apartment for just a few minutes). If the place was cleaned better, I think it would go a long way toward making it more comfortable. Aside from that, it is a very functional space in a convenient location.
We really appreciate Shahid's generosity, hospitality, and accommodating spirit during our booking and staying at his VRBO. He generously did 50/50 pay with us to accommodate our early and late flight; we only had to pay one night extra (early check in) and he took care of the other night (late check out). Shahid was very responsive and helpful with any of our concerns and questions during the booking process and while we were staying at his apartment too. The apartment was nicely cold; the bed and pillows were so soft and comforting; the water pressure was delightful after a whole day of walking. You will get exactly what the photo shows and the description details. Keeping in mind this is downtown Sacramento, CA. Homeless people will be everywhere; the streets will be dirty. The neighbor's dogs will be barking and it's just the way it is. The laundry combo machine was making a lot of noise while drying our clothes; we made plan to wash and dry our clothes while we were away. Looking on the positive side, you'll be close to downtown activities, museums, and Sacramento historic landmark. The neighbor was really nice to us and look out for our car parking situation. We loved the kitchen at Shahid's apartment. We bought croissant, eggs, fruits, and so much food from Costco and just cooked and had breakfast every morning during one-week stay. The large TV and the variety of shows it offers was really nice. We watched The Office to The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power on it.
My friend and I enjoyed our visit to Sacramento.. this little space was good for our needs. The kitchen table chairs need to be a bit shorter, but we didnt use them much. The couch and the bed are super comfortable and we slept very well. The host responded very quickly to messages and was always very kind. The parking in the alleyway was a little tight, but not a big deal.
The location worked well for our weekend family reunion as events were in Sacramento and Elk Grove. The unit was easy to access (only our apple GPS couldn't find the address, we were able to download Google). Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. All appliances were in working order and simple to operate. We were able to get work done and enjoy being with family during the reunion events!
