Explore hiking trails, rock climbing, Chimney Rock National Monument, Wolf Creek and Purgatory ski areas, fishing on 5 nearby lakes, the world famous Pagosa Springs hot springs, and so much more.

The Lazy Moose Lodge is the perfect getaway for multiple families with living spaces on the main level and downstairs. Inside you'll find a bright interior with lots of natural light and million-dollar views form the front and back decks. The main floor contains a large primary bedroom with Tempur-Pedic king sized bed and ensuite bath. There is a spacious living area where you can curl up by the fireplace or play cards at the game table. The Lazy Moose has a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to prepare a family meal as well as a large dining area. Laundry room and half bath are also located on main level. Plenty of room for everyone to be together...or while the adults enjoy a movie on the big screen TV above the fireplace, the kids can spend time downstairs in the large game room with their own TV/ DVD player, foosball table, and board games. Downstairs also has 2 private bedrooms, bunkbeds, and a full bath. If you need to stay connected, a dedicated workspace with a desk and chair is available downstairs as well.

The Lazy Moose offers the Best of both worlds - Quiet mountain neighborhood with plenty of privacy and amazing views - Only minutes to town with restaurants, golf, shopping, and the hot springs. It's also a convenient drive to Wolf creek ski area.

Spring break

We were a large group and everyone found a place of their own. The house was cozy and clean. The kids had a lot of fun playing with the snow in the front yard. Would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay in Pagosa Springs

Wonderful place to stay for our group of 7. Skiing and hiking in the area and back home to play board games and watch a movie with family. The home had everything needed to prepare large meals and the owners were very communicative and gracious. Sitting at the large table with everyone, playing games while the snow fell was a treat for everyone. We also saw a bear on our walk around the neighborhood. We really appreciated the layout of the house and the accommodations provided. Excellent stay.

Our family stayed for 2 nights along our roadtrip. Hosts were very gracious to host us last minute after I had accidentally selected the wrong dates when booking. Property was very clean, well stocked with all necessities, and in a beautiful area with amazing views. Town was about a 15 minute drive. Unfortunately the rainy weather didn't allow us to visit all the area had to offer but the home was comfortable for us to stay in and recharge from our drive. Very appreciative of the necessities being stocked- dish soap, laundry pods, plenty of blankets and towels, extra fans, etc. Great communication from property owners. Highly recommend.

Why they chose this property

My wife and I have brought our kids to Pagosa springs every year for the past 17 years. Our son and daughter (who are now 19 and 15) have been snow skiing at wolf creek since they were both were 2 years old. We love to ski in the winter and hike in the summer. It is a joy to own a home in Pagosa Springs and share it with others. It truly is a magical place.

What makes this property unique

The Lazy Moose lodge is the best of both worlds. Quiet mountain neighborhood with plenty of privacy and amazing views. Only minutes to town with restaurants, golf, shopping, and the hot springs. There is a trail head to the national forest right outside our back door. There are lots of deer and other wildlife to see in the summer from our back deck. We love going to both Wolf creek and Purgatory to ski in the winter. And there is really nothing more spectacular than the drive to Ouray. I know you will enjoy our home no matter what season you come.
