About this property

Rustic Modern Cabin on the WI River: Fur Babies Stay for Free!

Keep it simple at this peaceful & conveniently located property less than 2 miles from downtown Dells. This secluded 6 acre property is nestled in the backwaters of the WI River. It’s a cozy space to reconnect, relax and make lasting memories.

Our property is comprised of 6ac of land on the Wisconsin River...we have a cornfield to the North, a seasonal cabin to our South the river to the East and a road and natural area to the West. We are 1.8mi from downtown Wisconsin Dells. Our property has 4 cabins, perfect for couples and friends to come to the same place and have their own accommodations, a Gathering House (Converted Tavern) social area, that is set up as an intimate and cozy atmosphere (think speakeasy), a 24x24 covered deck and 24x10 patio area. Follow the trail down the hill towards the river and you'll find 225ft of raised walkway through a natural Sandstone canyon that arrives at our private 80ft dock on the riverfront. You'll find excellent walleye, muskie and sturgeon fishing as well as carp and catfish sheep's head and a bounty of other stuff to catch along with scenery that will make you fall in love...
The views from the dock are the crown jewel of the property.

We offer a charcoal grilling station for each cabin and a central grilling location by the Gathering House. We have a fire pit in the space beyond the covered deck and plenty of wood to burn on site.

Our goal is to host couples, small groups of friends, family or coworkers and provide a space to disconnect from technology, connect with each other, share some unique experiences and make amazing memories you and your loved one/s, you're closest friends or coworkers will look back on for years to come. Had a lovely time staying at sandstone rustic retreat. Not sure where to start as everything was very nice, start to finish. The owners have great communication and are very helpful and accommodating. The whole property is neat and well kept. Our cabin was super cute and cozy. The favorite thing for our teenage boys was to be able to fish off the dock and kayak down the river where they caught a whole variety of fish. Would definitely recommend this place to Wisconsin Dell travelers. A quiet spot and conveniently located.

Lovely cabin in the woods

We had a wonderful (but far too short) stay at this lovely cabin in the woods. It is very quiet and “away from it all,” but still close to downtown Wisconsin Dells for restaurants and entertainment. The cabin was spotless and very well-appointed. I wish we’d had more time to explore the grounds. Communication was fantastic. Definitely coming back to spend more time.

Perfect weekend!

This property is located perfectly. Everywhere we went down town and out and about we seemed to always be only 10-15 min away, but being there it seemed to be in the middle of no where. It felt just like being at home. Walking down and sitting along the river was so relaxing.

This place is so beautiful. From the leisurely walk down to the river to the homey feel of the cabin. Beautifully decorated. I felt like it was home away from home. The owners are super friendly and very accommodating. We locked our keys in the car and they did everything they could to help us get them out. Very wonderful people.

This was our second time staying at this lovely property, and it was just as impressive, if not better, than the first! Returning felt like coming home. Wooded retreat

Beautiful property, spotlessly clean. Comfy bed, heated bathroom, with a small kitchenette. Refreshing stroll from the cabin through the woods to the river dock. Warm and inviting Gathering house, we enjoyed hanging out by the coffee bar and grilling on the deck. Tanya and Cane were so friendly and hospitable. Short drive into town and the attractions. Perfect home base for families experiencing the waterpark close by.

This place is very special. The owners here focus on hospitality that is even more enhanced by the location they are developing here so beautifully along the Wisconsin river. The common areas here are so spectacular that one can only relax and reflect on the beauty of this area. Fishing off the dock and kayaking were my personal highlights. I rented the kayaks here and saw sandstone cliffs, eagles and many animals. My small cozy cabin was spotless and organized. We cooked family breakfasts in the cabin and evening meals around the gas grills near this common area and gathering house…itself a very fun and relaxing area provided by this resort. Our family definitely will be returning!!

Excellent getaway!

We rented both a cabin and a dome. Close to downtown but far enough out to be surrounded by wilderness. Cale was very welcoming and showed us all amenities, which are plenty. The cabin is beautiful with modern sink, shower/bath, faucets, and had nice coffee pot and plenty of snacks. Decorations and plaques throughout resort are very thoughtful, inspirational and even a funny one if you look. This would be a great place for family reunions. So many outdoor casual meeting places and a lovely meeting room indoors. Got to watch the moon rise over the river through the dome, which was an awesome experience. Hoping to get back soon for a stay in dome with snow!
