3. IMPERFECT LISTING DISCLOSURE
a. This listing is a vacation home we share with others when we are not using it. We are not a 5-star hotel facility, and we are not perfect. From time to time, mistakes and nature happen. We are located near the woods, where there is wind, storms, snow, ice, insects and wild animals. Dust and dirt on the deck are inevitable, and dust on surface areas of the interior of this listing is also likely, as our guests frequently open the doors to enjoy the view and breeze. Insects and bugs may also enter from the outside, which may be out of our control. While our cabin is beautiful, it is not brand new. Many people have enjoyed this cabin over the years, and there may be scratches, blemishes, or discolorations on the furnishings and fixtures throughout the space. While our housekeepers always strive to do their best, we are all human and unfortunately, imperfect. From time to time, you may find a hairband behind the cabinet, hair on the floor, or a piece of trash that we accidentally missed, etc. Please do not book our cabin if these types of mishaps and discoveries will make your stay any less than a 5-star experience.

b. Upon checking into our cabin, please advise us of any and all conditions that are below your expectations via platform messages, within 1 hour of checking in (even if it’s late at night), to give us the opportunity to fix the issue as soon as we can. Unless we receive a message detailing any issues within 1 hour of your check-in, it is agreed that you acknowledge the cabin is to your satisfaction upon check-in.

4. GUEST COMMUNICATIONS
a. Guest agrees to communicate any issues directly to the host via hosting platform messages as soon as they occur. Guest must alert host promptly if anything breaks, leaks, or seems not to be functioning properly.

5. PURPOSE OF STAY
a. This listing is intended for guests whose purpose of the stay is to reside within the cabin for a short-term stay (less than 21 days).
b. Booking this cabin for commercial or hobbyist photography and videography of any sort, is prohibited.
c. There are no exceptions to this House Rule, unless permission has been explicitly given by the host to the guest in writing, via listing platform Messages, in advance of the booking confirmation. Any and all exceptions to this House Rule must be requested in advance of booking confirmation, and will be subject to an additional list of requirements and information to be collected as required for everyone’s safety. Any booking that is made for such purposes without prior approval from the host will be subject to cancellation per the Strict Cancellation policy, with no refund. Rental of this cabin for any commercial purposes without the explicit, written approval from the host via platform Messages is strictly prohibited.

6. CHILDREN
a. Children: Hillside Hideaway is family-friendly and welcomes well-behaved children who are respectful of the property. Parents or guardians hereby agree to supervise their children both indoors and outdoors, especially in and around the hillside, heaters, firepit, and indoor stairs.
b. THE SUPERVISION AND SAFETY OF ALL CHILDREN ARE THE DIRECT RESPONSIBILITY OF GUEST. Do not book this cabin if you will not be able to adequately supervise your children around the property given the disclosures in this agreement.

7. BOOKING REGISTRATION
a. The guest making the reservation must stay in the cabin themselves. Subletting or booking for other people and not staying yourself is a violation of this agreement.
b. All registrations must be under Guest’s legal name.

Great get-away cabin!

This place was probably the most well appointed short-term rental I have ever experienced! We found everything we needed for preparing multiple meals - right down to all the spices!

Came here to celebrate my partner’s birthday. Really cute and comfortable cabin. Designed well and on a dead end street, but also not completely private. It is close to nature so there is a lot of wildlife, insects, etc., but that was not a big deal for me. Place was well equipped also, and being in the hot tub looking at the stars was a nice way to relax.

Cozy and Quaint Cabin

Our stay was great! We loved how cute and quaint the cabin is, and enjoyed many mornings sipping coffee on the porch. Also appreciate the added touches like the s'mores supplies and tea offerings. We enjoyed the exploring all of the nearby trails with my two young kids including the fish ladders and river bed in the Mt. Baker National Forest. Would definitely stay again!

Host did not give check-in info on time. Supposed to be given to us prior to arrival. I had to reach out to them 3hrs after our check-in time to get into the residency, which is hard to do cause service is limited out there. There was only 1/4 of a paper towel roll for us. We cooked all weekend & didn’t have access to back up paper products. They advertise s’more items & an outdoor fire pit for cooking, but did not accommodate a hatchet or kindling to start a fire. They only gave us 3 dry pieces of wood up on the stone patio. If you needed more firewood you had to go to the bottom of the stairs to the very bottom of the driveway, ( no lighting down there, bring flashlight, a pair of gloves & muscle). Ha to move sticks & debris off the tarp, then dig large pieces of wood out of the dirt. Bring your own fire starting supplies! One plastic folding outdoor table 2’ X 3’. No other side tables. The host disagreed that there shouldn’t be any financial compensation for the inconveniences this weekend. Unable to access our rental on time, no way to start a fire, only 1/4 of a roll of paper towels isn’t enough when you’re cooking breakfast lunch and dinner.Instructions were to take the garbage / recycling out to the waste bins on the street with the house # on it…there were NO #’s on the large outdoor bins. Yard is not “almost fully fenced”, 1/4 to 1/3 has fencing. Small front lawn area has no privacy. No side yard, no backyard. Just patio hangout. Super clean house tho.

Cozy

At first driving to the neighborhood I was thinking this is not much of a cabin experience, but once I got inside and being at the very end of the road, it was pretty quiet and quaint. Overall I enjoyed it.
