Windows spanning the back of the house provide tons of natural light and perhaps a sighting of local wildlife.
The spacious living area has been thoughtfully designed and tastefully decorated with plush, comfortable seating – perfect for sinking into as you kick back and unwind after a day of adventure. The kitchen is filled with top-notch appliances and features a professional-grade 6-burner gas range and a generously-sized island with granite countertops with seating for 4. A rustic, reclaimed wood farmhouse table easily seats 12, inviting everyone to share in good food and good company.
Located off the kitchen and dining area is a covered porch looking out to the Chattahoochee National Forest, perfect for starting your epic day with a freshly brewed cup of coffee in the morning, or for sharing stories at the end of the day around the fire table with a glass of local wine.
Each of the four bedrooms (two on the main level and two on the upper) have private ensuite bathrooms with custom tiled showers, luxurious mattresses and linens, smart TVs, and an abundance of natural light. A sturdy grab bar in the shower ensures safety and ease of movement, while a wall-mounted paper holder doubles as an extra grab bar for added convenience.
Two of the bedrooms are located on the upper level. At the top of the stairs to the right is the largest bedroom suite offering a king-size bed as well as two twin beds. The large window shows off the amazing mountain sunrise, and the smaller window in the nook looks out to Mays Lake. Inside the bedroom suite to the left are two queen beds and a twin-size daybed with views of Mays Lake as well. Whether you’re looking to retire to your own personal sanctuary after a long day of exploring, or you want to enjoy a leisurely morning getting ready in peace, these beautifully appointed rooms have everything you need to feel right at home.
The walk-out lower level with 10-foot ceilings is home to an expansive entertainment room with plush sectional sofa, large TV, pool table, ping pong table, board games, and bar area. A separate room has an air hockey table, PacMan game, and an XBox console for the gamers in the group.
A high-top bar table with 8 bar stools is the perfect happy hour spot or game table. Access to the outdoor lower deck leads to a PRIVATE HOT TUB illuminated by twinkling string lights. To further elevate the outdoor experience there's a gas fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs for instant warmth and ambiance, where you can gather with your friends for memorable nights filled with laughter, storytelling, and perhaps a glass or two of the region's delicious wines.
In addition to these amazing amenities, the property also features a 2-car garage with electric car charger as well as additional driveway parking.
Guests have access to a covered pavilion with fireplace and charcoal grills as well as dock entry to private Mays Lake for fishing and kayaking. Just a short drive away are 10 incredible wineries, miles of hiking trails, and downtown Helen —a whimsical Bavarian-style village filled with unique shops and restaurants

About the host
Hosted by Yonah Mountain Farmhouse

Our journey into vacation rentals started in Vermont, where for the past 10 years, we’ve hosted guests in a small collection of private homes and condos in the charming village of Stowe. But when we discovered the unique wines, rich history, and small-town warmth of the North Georgia Mountains, we knew we had found something special. The breathtaking scenery, endless outdoor adventures, and welcoming community instantly drew us in, and we couldn’t shake the feeling that we needed to create something amazing here.
For us, the best getaways aren’t just about the destination—they’re about the moments shared. The laughter around the fire, the quiet morning coffee with a view, the stories told long into the night. That’s why we designed Yonah Mountain Farmhouse with gathering in mind, making sure every space feels inviting, comfortable, and perfect for reconnecting with the people who matter most. We’re so excited to share this home with you and can’t wait to welcome you to a place where unforgettable memories are made.

Mays Lake is a hidden gem, ideal for kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, or simply floating the day away. The community picnic area, complete with charcoal grills, a fireplace, and easy lake access, makes it effortless to enjoy a lakeside meal with stunning mountain views.

What makes this property unique
Yonah Mountain Farmhouse stands out because it was intentionally designed for effortless group travel. Unlike many vacation rentals that are simply furnished homes, our farmhouse was custom-built with friends and family in mind. Each of the four bedrooms features an ensuite bathroom, offering the privacy and comfort of a luxury hotel suite, so no one has to compromise on space or amenities.
Beyond the beautifully designed bedrooms, the home offers a variety of spacious gathering areas, both indoors and out. Whether it's cooking together in the fully equipped gourmet kitchen, sharing stories around the cozy living room fireplace, or enjoying mountain views from the expansive deck, there’s plenty of room for everyone to connect without feeling crowded.
We also took care to blend modern comfort with the charm of the North Georgia mountains. Thoughtful touches—like high-end finishes, stylish yet cozy décor, and amenities that cater to both relaxation and entertainment—make Yonah Mountain Farmhouse more than just a place to stay. It’s a place where memories are made, where laughter fills the air, and where every guest, from kids to grandparents, feels at home.
