Luxury Lakeside Lodge on Beautiful Somo Lake

The Lodge at North Star Properties: where rustic meets luxury. Completely renovated in 2022, this one-of-a-kind cabin was transformed from a lakeside bar and restaurant (Tomahawk Lodge Bar & Grill) into a northwoods dream cabin. Your first steps inside will reveal a large entry and game room with pool table and poker/game table. To the right, a hallway with three bedrooms (a master king suite with 3/4 bath, and two queen bedrooms) and a full bath with tub. Straight ahead beyond the game room you will be greeted with panoramic views of Somo Lake in the open kitchen and living area. Access to the second master king suite with 3/4 bath is off the living room.

The kitchen was designed around the original bar, featuring a live edge bar top, built-in ice machine, original bar cooler, and seating for 9. The great room showcases the original stone fireplace, vaulted ceilings with the original beams, a 72" smart tv, and leather furniture. A custom dining table with seating for 12 brings the space together. A sliding glass door next to to the fireplace lets in spectacular sunset lake views, and provides access to a new composite deck that overlooks the patio, fire pit, private beach & dock. Adjacent to the kitchen is the half bath, and short hallway that leads to the lower level stairs. As you descend you'll notice an original mural of Somo Lake that was done in 1999 - we have kept this and other relics from the original Tomahawk Lodge Bar to preserve some of the building's history. The lower level includes a queen bedroom, a bedroom with queen over queen bunks, a full bathroom with tub, and another living area with leather couches, smart tv, and gas fireplace.

We have a large parking lot to accommodate your trailers, so bring your boat, ATV's, or snowmobiles! The Lodge is located directly on the Northwoods Passage trails (Zone 1) and next door to the boat landing. Less driving, more adventures!

Perfect for kids, the sandy, walk-out beach is steps away and includes a private boat dock, patio and fire pit. Somo Lake is a 400 acre, full recreational lake with clean water. We provide many amenities to make travel with kids easier - pack n play, kid dishes, baby monitor, sand toys and more.

The Lodge at North Star Properties has completed the Lincoln County Department of Health inspection, and is in compliance with all Lincoln County Zoning short term rental requirements, holding the appropriate permits.

We really enjoyed staying at Lakeside Lodge. We had 9 guys staying there while we road some ATV trails in early November. Fantastic water view of the lake. Great space - 6 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, huge entry way with a pool table, large living room / bar, and an excellent well stocked kitchen. Plenty of parking space for our trucks & trailers as well. The hosts were very friendly in the contact we had with them. Highly recommend staying here, would be a wonderful place to stay for a couple families to share during the summertime.

We had an amazing week at the lodge! It was spacious enough for our large family and had everything you could need. We loved spending time at the beach area, playing in the water, and the lake was great for water sports. Laurel was also a great host and was available if anything came up.

Family Christmas

We had 7 of us family members there and it was sooo amazing! We had alot of good food we cooked in the kitchen with all family being involved, they put up a christmas tree for us and we used it putting our gifts under it for our christmas day. The owner was so nice and very accommodable. We highly recomend this amazing lodge. We will be back for 2025 christmas.!!

The Lodge at Lake Somo

The property was great. Large communal spaces and the bar was fun. The view of the lake was spectacular. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and the beverage cooler and ice maker were great bonuses. The kids loved the toys and the beach. Relaxing on the deck and around the fire pit was wonderful. The bedrooms and bathrooms were well done. Lots of room to spread out.

July 4th

This was the perfect option for our friends and family over the 4th of July. Right on the water and my grandson (3yrs old) loved it. The kayaks were a great touch and were used almost every day. Rained one evening and the great room with bar and full kitchen fit everyone without being crowded. Would definitely recommend this Lodge.

I cannot say enough good things about our stay. The property is exactly as described and had plenty of room for our group of 6 couples. Communication with the owner was exceptional and could not have been any easier. Our group has been doing a weekend away every year, and finding a spot that can host us has not always been easy. It’s safe to say that we have found our new “home”, and are already looking at dates for next year. Thank you for sharing your exceptional property with us.

Family Vacation

Great memories were made here! Cabin is equipped with everything you will need. Kitchen has a cooler for all your drinks. Separate ice maker was a plus. Cabin is so big and cozy. Everyone enjoyed the lake. Kids played all day in the water and some did a lot of water sports. (Watch lake, some shallow areas.) made lots of s’mores. Lovely place to create memories. Gorgeous, spacious lodge on a lovely lake

This property was such a great find! It’s clean and spacious and nearly everything seemed brand new. There was plenty of common space for our group of 8 to gather, the beds were comfy, the view is great, the bathrooms were clean, and the beverage cooler and ice maker were great conveniences! Laurel was also super friendly and easy to communicate with. I really loved this cabin and would not hesitate to stay here again! The only super minor thing to note when planning a trip here is there’s no drip coffee maker—just a keurig. This was noted in the house guide Laurel sent before we arrived, but we all managed to miss that detail and arrived with coffee but no machine to make it in. Not a big deal at all, just a heads up to note if there are coffee addicts in your group!
