We had a wonderful long weekend at this beautiful cabin on Lake John. Everything was clean, comfortable and updated on the inside, and Lake John was the perfect peaceful retreat for our family of nature lovers. We brought a canoe up and my husband and daughter fished daily, and caught more bass than we could even keep track of! I spent a lot of time enjoying the lake in one of the property’s kayaks, and was delighted with the variety of wildlife I saw. The property owners were super responsive when I had a question before our arrival as well - just an amazing experience all around!
Great stay with the family. Beautiful cabin on the lake. Nice and quiet with a bunch of wildlife. Fishing was great off the pier. Thank you so much for sharing your cabin!
Very impressed with everything. The cabin was very clean & the hosts really did provide everything needed for our stay. They even had a gift basket that was very thoughtful. Would definitely stay again! Maybe longer next time!
My sister and I had a "memory lane" trip to the North Woods. We stayed at this lovely cabin for a week. So relaxing. My favorite part was sitting on the dock, enjoying nature and reminiscing.
This cabin is an absolute gem. Beautifully decorated, clean, cozy and comfortable, in a picturesque spot on the lake. We had a peaceful stay with lots of relaxing around the fire pits and lounging on the dock and porch. Caught some bass, saw and heard lots of loons and eagles. We were even blessed with a show from the Northern Lights! We hope to be back again soon!
My family and I had a nice stay at this cozy cabin. The description is exactly what you get. The cabin is very well stocked for everything you need. We enjoyed the kayaks and the paddleboard especially. And most importantly, it was very clean! Well done hosts! A side note to those looking for a place to swim, not really ideal for this. It's a very weedy lake with a small area where you can stand that goes up to your knees. Not an end all be all, but important information to know, especially if you have children that are looking to get in the water. But overall, a lovely place and we would definitely stay again.
Cabin was very nice and clean. some of the dock boards should be replaced but overall good. we enjoyed fishing and kayaking the lake. nice and quiet lake during our stay. Watching the loons and sitting by the fire was very relaxing and peaceful. I would recommend this cabin and am thinking about going again at some time.
Joe & Tanya have a beautiful piece of property, with an amazing cabin. Our family had a great weekend away from the city life. We were able to watch eagles swoop fish out of the lake in the mornings and enjoy a large fire in the evening. We want to thank Joe and Tanya for allowing us this opportunity to enjoy the “cabin life” and all the great locals we were able to chat with, while in town.
The retreat was exactly as pictured and as described. It was incredibly cleaned and stocked with any and everything that we needed, that we may have forgotten, including a first aid kit.
The extra surprise was the plunger in the bathroom, which gave us a great laugh.
Loved it and would definitely come back. Thank you for sharing your home with us. It was relaxing and peaceful and that’s exactly what we needed.
Beautiful cabin, cute and cozy. Didn’t get AC to work but also didn’t look into it too much; fans worked fine. Had everything you needed. Clean. The loft with most beds has minimal privacy but worked for sleeping quarters! Host was available for messaging if needed.
GREAT getaway from city life! This was the perfect Up North vaca. The cabin was beautiful, clean, spacious. The amenities were everything we needed for a temporary and simple yet comfortable life away from home. The property itself was beautiful and peaceful. We had such a lovely time on the prestine lake everyday - fishing, paddle boarding, wading in the water. When we wanted a sandy beach we took a trip to Wheeler Lake 10minutes away. We painted while sipping coffee on the porch. The coffee maker was a keurig and the pots and pans were nonstick so we were glad we brought our own french press and cast iron pan along. The well water tasted fine through the filter pitcher that was provided. *Remember to always bring a tweezers for any trip up north, eh! We caught a tick just in time!* There was a first aid kit but thankfully we never had to use it. The gift basket upon our arrival was very cute and welcoming :) The town had a delicious candy/ice cream shop and also a coffee shop with souvenirs that any traveler will enjoy. We didn't leave the cabin much because it was so nice and relaxing just being at the property. There was no AC but the architecture of the cabin is well done so that no AC was needed. Having no AC was a huge plus for us because when you spend the days outside enjoying such a beautiful lake, who needs AC anyways?! We opened the windows at night and were immediately cooled off by the night breeze. Would highly recommend! Stay here! 5 stars all around!
