Grandfather’s House, Kissamos

Lovely older property in an ideal location for local amenities and the beach. All a short walk away. Even the neighbours were friendly and chatted. The property is managed by the family who own it and they were very welcoming. I have never stayed in a property before where absolutely everything you may need was provided. From bug spray to a welcome food and drink pack, to shampoo, toilet rolls, cotton buds and soap powder etc etc, everything had been thought of. Thank you. We’d had a terrible journey after a long delay but the family made us very welcome. They checked on us by phone after a couple of days and met us on departure day. When we return to Nissan’s, we will try to book this property. A lovely experience.

At the moment the hosting is done by our family. We love the house our grandfather built with its tall ceiling and the garden surrounding it. We admire the architecture of the old houses compared to the new modern buildings and that give us a motivation to stay also from time to time. We want the people to take this energy and have a relaxing holiday.

Why they chose this property

The neighborhood was chosen by our grandfather who built the house. What we love as the current owners about the neighborhood is the fact that the buildings close to the house is n't tall meaning that sun is reaching easily the garden giving you during the entire day the option to stay under the shadow of the trees or enjoy the sun!

What makes this property unique

The old architecture is something important. The house with it's tall celing. makes you feel you have more space and freedom. The second noteworthy part is the garden. It is important to have trees and flowers close to you watching them via the window of your bedroom or even drinking your coffe in the garden.
