Twin Sycamore River Cottage, “Serenity”

Our cozy river-side cottage along the Conestoga River is one of two cottages that are within 2 miles of the center of Lancaster City, and have a treehouse-like view from their stance on the hill side.

Located just outside downtown Lancaster, luxury cottage is a peaceful, quiet escape and a great location to simply rest and restore or to experience the best of Lancaster City and Lancaster County tourist attractions. Explore downtown Lancaster, only 2 miles away visiting Lancaster Central Market, Lancaster Convention Center, Fulton Theater, boutique shops, cafes and galleries, and restaurants. A short drive to the heart of Amish Country will take you to the Strasburg Railroad, Sight and Sound Theater, and Dutch Wonderland amusement park. For the outdoor enthusiasts, we don't recommend leaving home without your walking/running shoes, bikes, paddle board/kayak or fishing poles. There is river access from the yard, and the cottage is walking distance to Lancaster County Park and the Conestoga Greenway Trail, where there is plenty of beauty to explore whether by foot, bike or car. Just half a mile down the road is also the Rocky Springs Entertainment Center for entertainment and bowling. Close to Amtrack train station and not far from Spooky Nook Sports Complex.

This brand newly built cottage features a fully equipped kitchen and cozy living space with vaulted open ceilings, 1 1/2 bath, a lofted master bedroom with lots of natural light and small 2nd bedroom with trundle bed. It includes a washer and dryer, deck furniture and grill, fire pit by the river, and 2 street parking spots.

Nearby venues include: Marriott Downtown Lancaster, Excelsior, The Cork Factory Hotel, Riverdale Manor.

Short-term rental, long-term/traveling nurse friendly! Small workspace with desk available in master bedroom.

This was an excellent stay! Beautiful view off the back patio. The beds were comfortable and the place was so nicely decorated. We loved our stay! I would try to stay here again if back the Lancaster area!

What a beautiful place this was. It was clean, quiet and so relaxing. We loved sitting on the porch watching the river. We even went down couple times and fished. We caught some catfish.

My stay at Twin Sycamore River Cottage,was absolutely wonderful! From the moment I arrived, I could feel the calm and beauty of the place living up to its name. The cottage was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated, every detail made it feel like a true home away from home. The hosts were kind, responsive, and made sure everything was just right. You can tell they take great pride in creating a peaceful, comfortable experience for their guests.If you’re looking for a tranquil escape surrounded by natural beauty, I can’t recommend Serenity enough. Peace and Tranquility

It was a perfect, three day get away fouth of July weekend. The cottage was extremely clean and a beautiful view of the river. Shauna was a great host. She answered all my questions in a prompt manner. We enjoyed the quiet setting and did a lot of shopping, enjoyed the markets. This is a place I would definitely return to in the future.

What a wonderful getaway!

We had a wonderful time at this darling escape! It is new, meticulously maintained, has a beautiful view AND water access! The owners thought of everything- I'm used to bringing soap/supplies after many lousy rentals without so much as TP, but they provided everything you could need, including s'more makings, oatmeal and coffee. The owners were so lovely and responsive, helpful in many ways! We really loved our time away in their cozy cottage and can't wait to get back again!

Beautiful Modern Woodland Retreat in Lancaster

I loved the expansive windows with the view to the woods and the river. Super clean and very comfy bed. Many essentials provided. Only about 15 minutes away from the Sight and Sound Theatre and Strasburg. Perfect accommodations for those that want to enjoy all the comforts of home away from home in a peaceful setting.

Great Property! As previous residents of Lancaster we visit often and decided to try this due to the close proximity to downtown but also relaxed setting near the river. Did not disappoint! Very clean and comfortable and the outdoor space is serene and calming. Highly recommend and will return.

Wonderful Cottage on the river

We had an enjoyable stay at Twin Sycamore River Cottage. It is neat and clean and practically new. It is warm and inviting with a cozy atmosphere and the beds are comfortable. We love the modern design. This is a stunning spot in a quiet location overlooking the Conestoga River. You feel like you are in a remote location, yet it was only a few miles from everything we came to see.

Relaxing Weekend Getaway

This house has everything you need! We brought groceries and cooked all of our meals for our family. Some meals we ate out on the deck with a beautiful view of the river, others we ate right by the fire in the back yard! Perfect size for our family of four. Our kids loved the house/property. Super family friendly. We just booked the one home but plan to book both of them another time with friends or family. Each home, while close together, feels private. They definitely angled the decks, windows, etc so they each feel separate and private if that’s what you prefer. A gorgeous, clean property that we will be staying at again and again. Well done!
