Granite Point is a remote haven located on Resurrection Bay, just 12 miles from Seward, Alaska. Accessible only by boat or helicopter, the property features four private cabins and one larger lodge, all perched on a dramatic cliffside. This unique location offers unparalleled views of Resurrection Bay and the surrounding mountains.
For adventurers, Granite Point is a dream come true. Enjoy direct access to our private beach, hiking trails, and complimentary use of paddleboards and kayaks. Steps from your door, find world-class paddling—explore alongside humpback whales, sea lions, and porpoises while birdwatching, fishing, or simply soaking in the magic of the fjords.
Please note, this is a remote setting. To reach your cabin, guests will ascend four steep staircases and traverse a short 30-yard trail. As such, travelers should be self-reliant, in good physical condition, and prepared for a bit of adventure. We recommend backpack-style packing, as suitcases can be difficult to manage on the stairs. Be sure to bring gear suited to your activities, including sturdy hiking boots, full rain gear, and warm synthetic layers. Additionally, guests should plan to bring their own food and ice for coolers. Bathrooms provided are outhouses or composting toilets.

The place of the cabin is wonderful and there is so much to see. The cabin is great and looks like in the photos. There is an great Trail right behind the cabin and the hosts are super kind and helpful and there were always there for my questions. Thank you a lot for this wonderful stay!
Was an amazing stay at a very special place! Tons of stuff to do - fishing, kayaking, hiking all right there. Was a cute cabin up on the cliff with a killer view. Would come back for sure. Only thing I would've liked was a bit more info before arriving on what would be there and what the stay would be like.

Stellar views
Overall we had a great stay. I will say there are some things listed on the granite pointe mountain lodge website faq page that are a bit misleading. I would recommend really do your research before booking a stay here. Views are fantastic & beds are 10/10 for comfort.
Amazing views and beach complete with fresh water stream and falls into the ocean. Lots of sea glass and also water activities to do. Comfortable couch and bed, camping stove and rain water available. Fire table was a nice touch on the awesome deck!
Wife and I stayed here for our 12 year wedding anniversary. It was very peaceful just listening to the waves crash on the beach. Hiked the alpine trail but not sure if we went far enough, it was still fun either way. Never did get out and kayak due to the weather. It is a great place to stay and get away from the fast paced world for a little bit.
It was beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. The view was gorgeous and tranquil. We wish we had known there was a generator earlier on. We also hiked. This comfy and cozy retreat was really glamping, thank goodness! Loved that there was Charming ultra soft in the outhouse. We will probably return regularly in the future but pack lighter.
The Ledge cabin is a fantastic little escape, the patio opens onto incredible views over the water and the mountains.
There's plenty to explore along the coast and in the woods behind the lodge. The kayaks were a fantastic addition and we spent a great day paddling further down the fjords, finding hidden beaches, creeks and waterfalls.
One thing to note is the cabins themselves are quite close to each other so don't expect it to be super quiet and secluded.
Avoid Seward Water Taxi. He was hard to contact, wouldn't confirm our booking via email or text. He refused to take payment ahead of the trip, then tried to charge double the agreed amount on our return.
A Tranquil Getaway with Breathtaking Views and Wildlife Encounters
This hidden gem nestled within the breathtaking landscapes of Alaska's Kenai Peninsula offered an unforgettable escape from the ordinary. With its remarkable combination of stunning water views, remarkable wildlife sightings, and thoughtful amenities, this rustic cabin retreat stands out as an unparalleled destination.
The cabin's prime location allowed for uninterrupted vistas of the serene waters and included Sea Lions, Orcas, and Otters.
The wood stove provided both warmth and ambiance, creating the perfect atmosphere for cozy evenings by the fire. The thoughtful amenities, including a two-burner camping stove and an ample supply of pots and pans, made meal preparation a breeze. The queen-size bed in the loft area provided a comfortable and peaceful retreat after each adventurous day, although we did bring our own towels.
For those seeking outdoor adventure, the Alpine Trail situated above the property offered an array of hiking opportunities through the pristine wilderness. Scaling the trail provided not only invigorating exercise but also breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The inclusion of stand-up paddleboards and kayaks was awesome, allowing us to further explore the serene waters after a rewarding hike.
Jeff, the owner, and the team at Seward Water Taxi made accessing and settling in a breeze.
Overall a great experience, and a wonderful few evenings on the Kenai!
