Nestled in the heart of Island Park, Idaho at the foot of the majestic Sawtelle Peak, Old West Escapes resembles an 1880's Old West Town with the comforts of home. We invite you to stay with us while enjoying your Yellowstone vacation.

The Rail Station was one of the last buildings built in the old west arriving around 1869 when the golden spike was driven just a few hours south of here connecting the east and the west by a transcontinental rail road for the first time. Our Rail Station includes the following.

Adorable cabins and great location

I fell in love with the look of the whole property and really wanted to stay there. Since I was traveling with my elderly mother, I was a little nervous about two single woman in a cabin that seemed to be very isolated. To my very pleasant surprise, The property is located in a perfect location. You feel surrounded by nature, not neighbors but it's not so isolated that you feel alone. The west entrance to Yellowstone is only 20 minutes away.

David and Julie White have been married for over 20 years and always dreamed of owning and operating their own business. David is a licensed contractor with a background in residential construction and home remodeling, Julie just finished a Bachelor’s degree in Business from BYU-Idaho. They thought it was the right combination to begin building their dream together. In 2018, they found the perfect property in Island Park and began building Old West Escapes. David and Julie, along with their daughters, have worked together to bring this dream to reality. They hope you enjoy your time in Island Park, as you “experience the west” with them.
