Water's Edge Apartment

Wish away your worries while staying at our Waters Edge Apartment. This space is located on our family property. Spacious 37 acre with a 6-acre pond centered in the middle. Star gaze at night and enjoy peaceful walks during the day. We are less than a mile from downtown McArthur, close to all the amenities.
Just a short 30-minute drive to Old Mans Cave entrance and 22 minutes from Lake Hope. Feel free to fish in the pond. No swimming allowed. Catch and release only.

This was a great rental in a nice secluded area. Very clean and spacious. Had everything we needed. Will definitely book again next time to visit Hocking Hill State Park, which we highly recommend!

Great place to relax

Great place to relax. Easy to find and very quiet, yet close to town. We plan on going to hocking hills in the summertime and would stay here again. Hopefully we will be able to check out the property (not the best weather when we stayed there).

I didn't really think that it fit four adult people the fold out bed to the couch was not very hood and it needed a screen door but everything else about the property was absolutely great we love the location it was easy to get into and it was great

Attention to Detail

The apartment is small but homey. It is meant to be a place to relax and recharge after a day of hiking or sight seeing. Convient for all the parks and you can tell the owner put great thought into how the place was decorated. It had all the amenities you need, and the pond is beautiful. If you are using Google maps to get to the property dont turn of the driveway Google says look for the driveway with the wooden sign and follow directions. Thank you for a great stay.

Little weekend getaway.

I was very pleased with our little treasure we found to spend a night away from home. We were looking for something close to Hocking Hills without the big price of places super close. This stay was more than we could have ever imagined. Beautiful unit with everything you could need for a stay away from home. Very clean and decorated with lake vibes. The extra things offered like fishing, corn hole, and toss game was a real plus. The pond was just amazing. I want to come back just to sit by a fire and watch the sun go down! We will be back!

Great cozy stay

Water's Edge was a great find! I was in town for a short visit, and am glad I found this place! Very clean, quiet, and cozy for my stay. The place was well stocked with the necessities needed, and very quiet at night. Easy to find and close to the downtown area. I would highly recommend Waters Edge, and would stay at again!!!

Amazing getaway!!

From start to finish, we had an amazing time! Close enough to the Hocking Hills, cute small town too! The little suite was all as wonderful as advertised! Friendly host, clean, comfortable, and full of amenities. We will definitely stay here again when we’re back in the area!

Quiet, just outside of town but close to attractions

This was a nice getaway, close to town but still country. The owners lived nearby and helpful. Yet it still felt like we had privacy. We fished and sat near the firepit. The apartment was clean and modern. We ate at local restaurants.

Perfectly cozy and secluded

Came into the area for the War-X OCR event in Thurman. Nikki's place was 38 minutes away from the venue, but it was a great find. The place is tucked away on their property with access to their pond, the property, and plenty of space for two people to sprawl out. Nikki and Jeff were very accommodating. The place is freshly remodeled, clean, and comfortable.

Born and raised within Vinton County, my husband Jeff will tell you that the best part of our area is the community. This area is filled with the friendliest and most down to earth people that Southeastern Ohio has to offer.
We started opening some of our rental properties for others like you to experience this amazing area that we call home.
We also love to travel! Our favorite place to go when we vacation is the western states. We have purchased a mid-bus and renovated it to a camper/rv to travel in. Definitely a labor of love. Maybe you'll see us out while you're traveling. We named the bus Journey.

Why they chose this property

There is so much to do in this area. We are close to Hocking Hills, Lake Hope, Lake Rupert and Lake Alma. Tons of hiking trails, horseback riding and kayaking. We love the small knit community without the traffic and congestion that some of the tourist areas bring. When stepping out of that ring you find peace and relaxation but yet close enough to visit those popular attractions.

Just 1/2 mile from town you will find our local coffee shop, Smoke N Beans. Spring Street Mocha is our favorite. They also have great lunch ideas, soups and sandwiches. If you are interested in shopping in our area, Weeping Willow is a must to check out. This boutique is located on the ground floor of the apartment unit.
Main Eatery has a large variety of milk shakes as well as amazing lunch dishes.
We have many pizza shops in the area. If you are looking for a more laid-back relaxing dinner option, we suggest Lake Hope Lodge. All dishes are mouth watering!

What makes this property unique

This is our home. This unit is located on our family's property. Thirty-seven acres with a size acre lake sitting right in the middle. Very secluded from the big city lifestyle. Just a short distance from all the amenities of town. You will feel like you are miles from civilization but still order a pizza and have it delivered. We hope you enjoy our property as much as we do.
