Our home on Spartanburg Drive is set up for families who travel with the dog and want the kind of stay that feels like a real retreat. Four bedrooms sleep 8 across 7 beds, with a hot tub, two dining areas, a fully stocked kitchen, and a separate fenced pet yard with two doggy doors so the four legged family member is at home too. Quiet neighborhood, easy distance to Amarillo dining, shopping, and entertainment. Single level layout, no stairs, family and kid friendly through and through.



The Space:

Our home on Spartanburg Drive is the one we recommend for families traveling with pets, and it is one of our most loved listings. Four bedrooms sleep up to 8 guests across 7 beds, which gives every adult their own room and leaves a kid room or guest room for the rest of the family.



The layout is European inspired and stylishly furnished, with two separate dining areas. The main dining table seats your group for the kind of breakfast or dinner families plan a trip around, and the second dining space gives you a spot for coffee, board games, or the kids' craft session. The living room has a TV, Wi-Fi, and extra pillows and blankets stocked for movie nights.



The kitchen is fully stocked for real cooking. Full size stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, freezer, blender, coffee maker, toaster, cookware, baking sheets, dishes and silverware, and wine glasses. The single level layout means no stairs anywhere, easier on grandparents and toddlers alike.



Outside, you get a private hot tub for the parents at the end of the day, a patio with outdoor seating, a garden and backyard, and a separate fenced pet yard with two doggy doors built in. The home is set up for pets to come and go on their own schedule without you ever leaving the couch. Two vehicle parking lot in back of the home.



The home is suitable for children ages two to twelve and infants under two, with board games stocked for evenings in. Bed linens, towels, hair dryer, iron, hangers, and the family travel basics are all in place. We love hosting families with pets on Spartanburg, and we keep the home set up to make travel with the dog as easy as travel without.



Guest Access:

You have the whole 4 bedroom home, the patio, the hot tub, the main backyard, and the separate fenced pet yard. Self check in is from 3pm with a smart lock code sent a couple of days before arrival, and check out is by 11am. Two vehicle parking lot in back of the home. No large trucks or trailers, please.



The Neighborhood:

Spartanburg Drive is a quiet, friendly Amarillo neighborhood with mature trees and the kind of calm residential feel that makes evening walks easy. You are an easy distance to Amarillo's attractions, shopping, fine dining, and casual restaurants, whether you are in town for a wedding, a sporting event, a job interview, or a family trip. Palo Duro Canyon State Park is a manageable drive south, and West Texas A&M in Canyon is close for a campus visit. Westgate Mall is close for shopping, and the Big Texan Steak Ranch is a fun first night dinner if your family wants the full Texas welcome.



Getting Around:

Amarillo runs on cars. This home has a two vehicle parking lot in back, with no large trucks or trailers permitted. Highway access is easy from this side of town. Rental cars and rideshare both work from Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport. Plan for a vehicle to get around Amarillo.



Other Things to Note:

This is a pet friendly home, with a separate fenced pet yard and doggy doors. Please share pet details in advance. The fireplace is decorative only, please do not use it. No burning candles. Please do not eat or drink in the bedrooms. Turn off the AC when you leave for the day. The home is equipped with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and a first aid kit.

We respect your privacy. We are a quick message away through the Airbnb or Vrbo app, or by text if that is easier. During the day we usually answer within the hour, and we are happy to help with local recommendations or anything that comes up during your stay. Pet questions and tips are always welcome.
