About this property

Scallop Hut - Old Homosassa

Located on a quiet canal in Old Homosassa, 1/2 mile from The Freezer Tiki Bar and 1 mile from the public boat ramp and Monkey Island. My newly renovated home in a quiet waterfront neighborhood offers a waterfront dock, huge deck with swim spa, gas grill, laundry room, all new appliances, beds and furniture.
The space
Use of the large in-deck swim spa is included. Use it for exercise or to cool off after summer scalloping or - fire it up for a relaxing hot soak. Also included are two fishing kayaks, bicycles, and a paddle boat that seats 5. For optional fun on the water, ask about availability on the cute Carolina skiff J14. It comes with an electric start 20hp outboard, bimini top, boarding ladder and seating for 4.
Guest access
You've got the whole house including a very large laundry room with washer, dryer, laundry sink and folding table. The garage and fenced areas are part of my maintenance shop and are not included. I will need access, so if you leave me 6-8ft in front of the garage door on the west lane, you probably won't need to move a vehicle.

Nice retreat

The location of the second bathroom was a little odd but the beds were comfortable, great deck with large spa pool, close to Homosassa restaurants, shops and fishing guides. Owner lives close by and was available for any questions, nice guy. House had everything we needed.

Wonderful place to stay in great neighborhood!

We will definitely be visiting this spot again! House location was amazing, Terry and the neighbors were incredibly kind, helpful, and interesting people, and hot tub was a relaxing treat every night! Kayaks and bikes were also a huge hit for being able to get in quick/close adventures!

Beautiful Property

Unfortunately we ended up having to work remotely while visiting family for the holidays. The Wi-Fi met our needs for remote work, and the bicycles made for a nice break. Visitors were fun to watch on the back decl (heron and egrets) Very quiet and peaceful place.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay here! The layout of the house is open and inviting with a great location. My oldest daughter loved the privacy she had in the bunk bed room and both my girls loved the spa pool. The owner was very quick to answer questions and even came over to help me learn to operate the spa pool. We will definitely be going back. I want to mention that you need to bring all your extras. There is salt and pepper and a roll of tp in the bathroom, but after that you need to have your own. If I was renting my house I would do the same thing! I just feel this is good to know going in so you can better prepare.
