Perfect get away!

Really nice place to stay, small but well equipped with everything you can possibly need, location is perfect, everything is with close distance on Ashford Ave. Is a definitely come back place.

Overall great experience and a really great location. Coffee shop and restaurant in the building are great! My only issue was how the door locked promptly at 11am on checkout. We were out at 10:50 but while waiting for the Uber, my daughter realized that she forgot something. She got up to the room right at 11 and the code didn't work anymore. A 10 or 15 minute grace period would be nice. im sure the owner would have helped but the time it would have taken to get in touch with him and get it open means we would miss our über, etc. Luckily, it was something she could do without.

Good value and location

My husband and I stayed here for the weekend while attending a friend’s wedding. The room was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a short stay. Our correspondence with Ray was prompt and reliable. The location is easy walking distance to the beach and shops and a 10 min Uber to the old city. The pool was refreshing, but could use a little cleaning. All in all this place is good value for the price. Thank you, Ray!

simple, cozy, clean

We enjoyed our stay at the simple, cozy and clean vrbo. The property was just as described, had everything we needed and was clean. It is only big enough for two people. It is close to a beach, shopping and it has a pool. The downside for us was the parking. If you’re lucky and can park next door, it is amazing. We weren’t that lucky every night. Our parking for 8 days was more than our rental car. Ray was amazing and kept in touch with us throughout the stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Condado condo

A good location. Very busy area, lots of restaurants, bars, shopping for basic needs. Friendly people. Nice restaurant downstairs, Atabey’s. Lots to choose from along the street. Found Uber to be a great way to get around here. Avis car rental just a block or so up the street. Pool missing a few tiles, but still nice, right along the lagoon. A couple of loungers to use. Very few people in the pool. Ray was great. Had a small problem with the sink and he looked right after it. If you want to go out without your phone/device every time , bring something to record the keyless 10 digit door lock number to keep with the building key. The laundry is off the parking ramp to the right of the building, machines use two quarters in each slot (there was no signs indicating how much) I realize this is not under Ray’s control, but knowing this will be helpful to know. Everything you need here. A good choice.

good value for price in an expensive area of PR

Ramon is a very honest owner, who was gracious and willing to help us out if he was able to. It was a pleasure to rent his apartment, which is in Condado, a very nice neighborhood, that you will feel safe to walk around in day or night. It's very close to upscale clubs, restaurants, casinos and is just 15 minutes from Old San Juan. To be honest, the apartment is very small (~500 square feet) and we think it is good for a couple only. We think it is a good apartment overall if you are planning to be outside a lot and only need a place to sleep, shower, do minimal cooking/food preparation and go. The bed is OK but there is room for improvement/updating here - maybe it needs an upgraded mattress and better pillows. It is a clean apartment and has the basics you will need. The building itself needs some aesthetic upgrades to the exterior but we heard a facelift to the exterior was underway. It has a secure entrance and security guard during the night and the location is GREAT (there is a pool there, but we didn't go to it so we can't comment other than it looked nice). There is a bus stop across the street, which is nice because taxies are very expensive in PR - For example: the fare structure is based on travel between zones (officially) and it costs about $15 to go 3 miles via taxi versus $0.75 fare by bus (the only problems with buses is that they are not very organize and don't have a schedule set up and also you will need exact change and patience!). The other confounding issue regarding taxis is that while there is some official fare structure, it seems to be more of a negotiated fare - trying to high-ball tourists, but they can be talked down if you try. You can get to the apartment from the the airport by bus if you would like (take a bus to Isla Verde, get of in the Ritz Carlton Hotel and then transfer to the bus going to El Condado, get off at the la Concha Hotel and walk one minute). If you would like to get some groceries (we did it for breakfast) you can go to the Walgreen Pharmacy, which is nearby and they have a small, urban-like grocery store in it. There is also a cafe shop downstairs, which is convenient. If you are going to be in Old San Juan, we don't think you need a car but if you are planing to stay couple of more days like we did to explore PR you will definitely need one. We used National Rent a Car at the airport, it had reasonable rates. If we went to PR again, we would definitely rent Ramon's apartment again -very good overall

Great location!

We had a great stay at Ray’s place! Private, easy check-in, awesome location. We walked to several restaurants, and had very easy Uber rides to Old San Juan, Piñones, and La Placita de Santurce. We also appreciated the locked entrance to the apartment complex and the Ring doorbell for safety. Parking isn’t included with this rental; we only had a rental car for a weekend to go to Ceiba for the ferry, and we were able to find a 24/7 lot down the road. We loved our stay! The location was perfect. Thank you, Ray!

Great Condo

This is a great condo. Small but was enough for just me. I stayed get for a month and it was perfect. Owner was timely in responses and helped inform me about the power outage that effected the whole island. I’ll stay here again. Great location too!

Perfect Studio Apartment

I had a wonderful week long stay at this delightful bright, clean, fully stocked studio apartment. Perfect for a single or a couple. The quiet beach at the end of the Condado is only a 7 minute walk away. I rented a bike for two separate days from San Juan Bike Rentals. For $30 they will deliver a great mountain bike, helmet, and lock to you. The pool at the condo is pristine and almost always empty. H and R Market, only steps away stocks the food, booze, snacks you might want. I felt safe during my stay and would love to rent again next year.

Best bang for your buck

If you are shopping for places to stay and come across this - take it! Price was reasonable - the apartment was exactly as it looks in the photos. Which is awesome. Nice sized private pool overlooking the lagoon and you are right on the strip - just not in the chaos. One block up and you hit the party area. Def would stay here often

Location, location, location!

IKEA Inspired Efficiency

We stayed in Ray’s efficiency four days. The cutest apt with everything you needed to make your stay more pleasant. The apt is very clean and tidy. The shower was awesome. Bed comfortable, sheets soft. Building was secured and safe and quiet. Large swimming pool and area with a beautiful view of the lagoon. Lots of nice rest. We took the bus to Old San Juan. 75 cents each and we were there in 15 minutes. We also took bus to the Art & History Museum. A short walk to one of our favorite rest. Bebo’s. Everyone knows where it is. Uber is another choice of transportation. Pinones is also a wonderful area to try authentic food. A beautiful beach as well.

Location Location Location

This was an amazing value for the price and location. I love to SUP and this place is right on the lagoon with a SUP rental facility right around the corner. The place is clean, comfortable and equipped with everything needed for our 10 night stay. If you have read other reviews, you are aware of that the shower can be a little wonky, but the secret is to turn the knob to about 10:00 and leave it! There is a great little coffee shop in the building for breakfast and a small market for water, snacks and sundries. We would definitely stay there again for the price we paid.

What makes this property unique

The condo is in the best location in San Juan. It is in the Condado Village at Ashford Avenue. There is no need of a car as most attractions are within walking distance including several beaches, a large variety of restaurants, cafes, bars, casinos, high designers’ retailers, groceries stores, water sports, drugstores, and hospitals. The bus stop is in front of the building which make easy access to the Old San Juan in five to ten minutes. Access to excursions to the rain forest, bio phosphorescent bay, zip line and many other excursions are easy as they are offered in nearby locations and pickup and drop locations are within walking distance.
