Sound Retreat Family Home with in-ground pool

Relax next to the in-ground pool after visiting one of the best beaches in the US, NAVARRE BEACH, The Most Relaxing Place on Earth. Located in a quiet cul-de-sac off the Santa Rosa Sound and just minutes from the Navarre Pier. Keep an eye out there is so much to see, sea turtles and dolphins and maybe even a bear. We are 30 minutes to Pensacola and only 45 minutes to Destin and 60 minutes from Gulf Shores AL. Our Sound Retreat neighborhood also has a private Santa Rosa Sound beach access area where you can fish, Kayak or swim. This is not just any vacation home; it is our forever home.
The House
1. Foyer/Entry: We hope as you open the door you feel invited into our home. It's a large space that gives you plenty of room to bring in and stage your bags upon arrival. Our favorite part of the house is the white wainscoting and bright vibrant wall colors.
2. Kitchen: You can enjoy cooking your own meals while staying here. We have all of the tools needed - an oven/cooktop with baking sheets, cookware, utensils, dishes, drinkware, etc, are all made available for you. We also have a microwave, toaster oven, garbage disposal, and dishwasher. The refrigerator has a filtered water and ice dispenser and the kitchen island provides additional seating. There is a Walmart Neighborhood Market not to far from us so you can easily get all of your groceries.
3. Coffee Bar: Located in the kitchen on its own little cabinet. Our coffee bar features a Keurig system with various k-cup flavors and options. Don’t forget to check the drawer in the cabinet if you can’t find your favorite K-Cup in the tray on top. If you prefer tea we have an assortment available as well. Mugs included too!
4. Dining Room: Perfectly situated adjacent to the kitchen and living room. Bust out the fine china, aka ceramic plates, for a fabulous dinner! You can even use the glass glasses and skip the plastic if you’re feeling daring and adventurous.
5. Living Room: Sit back and relax in our large living room that has a large comfy couch that you’ll be napping on in no time. Enjoy the large HD TV with the usual built in smart TV features so you can connect to your favorite streaming services. High 10 ft ceilings make this house feel roomy and spacious. Don’t forget to put in a pin in our map on the wall of where you live. We love to see where all our guests come from.
6. The Master Bedroom: This large bedroom features a king bed with a memory foam mattress (our favorite as well as guests who have raved about it!), a chaise lounge and dressers. The side tables each have lamps with USB charging capability and there's a private door to a screened porch. The attached private bathroom has an oversize jetted tub (perfect for relaxing/soaking), separate shower, toilet, dual sinks and plenty of lighting with a walk-in closet to hang all our cloths.
7. The Airplane Room: The airplane room has a queen bed with a memory foam mattress. The furniture in this room is aluminum built and mimics the look and feel of aircraft construction. A cozy chair is perfect to enjoy some coffee and a good book. A walk-in closet and ample shelving and luggage racks gives you a place to store clothes and necessities during your stay. If you need a pack n play, stroller and/or child seat they can be found in the closet.
8. The Shutter Room: The shutter room has a queen bed with a memory foam mattress. The side tables each have built in power outlets making charging your phone overnight easy peasy. A closet and ample shelving and luggage racks gives you a place to store clothes and necessities during your stay.
9. The Bunk Room: The bunk room has a full and twin bed with a memory foam mattresses. A Roku TV in guest mode is ready to watch for all kids streaming needs. There is a game system with hundreds of classic games to play. Controllers are in the built in desk drawer.
10. Guest Bathroom: Bathroom: Toilet, sink, and shower/tub. Watch out for the turtle while you're bathing, she likes the water.
The Outdoors
1. Screened in porch: This is the place to relax and chill while enjoying the outdoors without the real outdoors eating you silly. A Roku TV in guest mode makes it easy for you to sign into any of your favorite streaming apps. Be Savvy and Drink Rum and Margaritas is the motto in this room and from here, you can access the backyard paradise.
2. 2. The POOL: Take a dip and enjoy the pool on a hot summer day! No diving, please! It's not a heated pool for those traveling in the winter. Please be mindful of the Robot Ricky. He helps keep the pool clean every day but easily gets his feelings hurt if you step on him. We have the pool cleaned every week on Fridays, but leaves/debris/bugs do get in the pool. There is a skimmer net in the backyard for your use to clean out any debris/leaves/bugs that inevitably get into the pool between cleanings. Please note the spa is not heated.
3. We do have a spigot with hose so if you have scuba gear that needs rinsing off, beach equipment, or those sandy feet feel free to use it. But please remember to turn off the water. :)
4. There is a charcoal grill available for use. A metal can nearby is a great place to put the ashes from use.
5. This is Florida. On our property, you'll see bugs, birds, frogs, lizards, and dragonflies. There are also mosquitoes. Our property backs up to a forested preservation area and some bears enjoy this area and call it home. You might be lucky enough to see them, just know they are more afraid of you than you are of them. You'll see twigs and leaves around on the deck/patio, especially after rains/storms. Welcome to the jungle.
6. Our lawn is cared for by various people. Monthly it is sprayed for weeds and bugs. We will notify you if it happens to be scheduled during your stay. Every Thursday our lawn service people will cut, trim and clean the lawn. We would love to defer these chores while we host but we apologize we can't.
